Worst CGI on a major motion picture

Recently I feel like I've been seeing a lot of horrible CGI recently, what are your top pics for the worst? These are the worst of this year so far (IMO)

The Shallows
The Conjuring 2
Ghostbusters

Die Another Day

Your mom

Space Jam

...

lmao what the fuck

Captain's shield looked pretty shit in CW.

The Matrix 3 obviously.

>soldiers have projectile weapons
>slowly approach the melee hero and wait to be beat up
Every time

...

jesus christ

>the tank just dissolves into nothing

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

I watched BvS Ultimate edition last night (3 fucking hours!!) and Doomsday honestly looked not great.

workprint please

>120 million dollar budget

This wasn't even the worst of the film

>he thinks it's a workprint

Glorious

>9% rotten tomatoes
>looks like this

>still made 40 million dollars

His claws always looks so utterly shit, how hard is it to have realistic looking prop ones if they can't render fucking metal properly

>literal video games look better

I like the movie but The Mummy Returns.

What the fuck is going on here?

X-Men Apocalypse had some pretty bad moments

Most of the animals in the new Tarzan, most are mammals and look like the hair is just painted on their skin, looks legit unfinished

The quicksilver scene is the prime example

Any LOTR/HOBBIT movie

It's really sad when a movie from 2003 looks beter than a movie from 2015

>LOTR

I get more enjoyment out of this than I do from the actual finished product.

barrel scene.webm

little boys turn you on fgt?

CGI on film looks better than CGI on digital because of grain and whatnot

>you can pinpoint the moment it transitions from CGI to live action

Holy fuck, I really need to download the full thing one of these days

more

...

looks like the Fellowship of the Ring video game

Don't make Hulk AngLee.

It was about this point that I lost all hope that The Hobbit might match LotR.

...

what major motion picture is this?

...

Jesus christ

Ang Lee is also a class director who knows how to get top notch results out of an effects department.
hulk 2003 looks better than 2008 any day

yeah that was the tipping point for me too i really tried to remain optimistic

>that fish headshot at the end

That looks like something you'd see on ytmnd like 10-15 years ago

>w..why don't they use the tv cast in the movies

His head is floating

...

that's a shame because the rest of it is good. The tank shifting from the weight, the HUD

there's no way they didn't know, they must have just thought "fuck it, leave it at that"

this looks fucking fan made hahahaha

hahaha

What video game is this?

this looked terrible the entire movie

...

He's not wearing the suit, he does in the artic base scene before the fight

This seriously needs an official release.

hmmm really makes you think

The little creatures at the beginning of Star Trek Beyond

That was horrible CGI

no way that's real.

Didn't look that bad when I saw it. It was pixelated 240p though.

11m10s

Astonishingly bad. This is meant to be the dramatic, thought-provoking revelation

>picks up the tank,
>oh that's not so bad
>dat explosion
>REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Imagine going your whole childhood without questioning special effects

Then you watch The Mummy Returns and see this abomination

It's Mr. Fantastic using his stretchy powers to change his face.

This is incredible.

>that head drifting slightly to the left

It's this kind of subtle detail that makes this film a masterpiece.

...

Genuinely terrifying.

literal WWE video games looked better

>Mfw this actually makes sense to be weird since he's a digital character.

Had no problems with him in the movie.

This didn't look awful it was just in that perfect uncanny valley where you could tell something was off but not exactly what.

Ah my Windows 98 screensaver of choice.

>Recently I feel like I've been seeing a lot of horrible CGI recently, what are your top pics for the worst? These are the worst of this year so far (IMO)
>The Shallows
>The Conjuring 2
>Ghostbusters

>Lost was actually a PS2 game

I finally get it.

So this is the power of the PS4? Woah...

...

Those Evans gifs are better edited than a Disney movie

That's not bad for 1978.

Fucking this. It was jarring.

to be honest I thought it was fine when I was a kid, I thought it looked as cool as a final fantasy fmv

Probably the first Spiderman with Tobey McGuire. Looks like PS1 graphics and I even remember thinking it looked bad at the time.

>What PS2 video game is this?

ftfy

they really are.

i fucking hate this movie

reminder that according to superman lore, lois lane won her pulitzer prize a few days after getting off that train

Get with the times.

London Has Fallen has some fucking awful explosion CGI

My favorite one.

That's the V1. There was a V2 that fixed it.

>highest paid memeber
>too lazy to put on a real site
fuck this manlet kike

Doomsday looked fantastic

The actually bad CGI was the broken batmobile jumping into and driving through the tunnel, and the giant bat that attacks Bruce in the dream

Well yeah, that's how those two things go together. When you're the main character and are the highest paid you get to set the terms. It's the low paid ones who have to do whatever the suits say.

>Then you watch The Mummy Returns and see this abomination

Competent CGI studios of the time would have looked at the effect required and said "this is five years ahead of what the industry can do without it looking like crap." But there's always that hungry one that says "sure, WE can do that."

oddly enough CW which have lower budget then cbs made webm related

Jurassic Park did CGI raptors that looked better than this almost a decade before it.

Doomsday looked like rubbish
