Not really a fan of overly hoppy/strong IPAs (but I like a select few)

US made elysian pumpkin king is a really good seasonal release if you can find it but it costs an arm and a leg. banana bread beer is alright and can be found year-round, its made by some brewery in the UK.

Lager beer is where it's at. What you need is a good Hefeweizen.
I had some the last time I was in Wiesbaden, but for the life of me, I can't remember what it was called. They had it in Hamburg as well. Blue and white checkered label.
Fuck. I wish I could be of more help. If you want a delicious malt beer Sapporo is always a good choice, as is Kirin Ichiban. If you want to stay domestic and mainstream, something you can find anywhere is Coors Banquet. If you go Canadian, Molson is pretty good, and LaBatt's isn't bad at all. There are much tastier beers, but they're much harder to find.
What kind do you like? I dig a nice medium amber lager.

They are delicious, a hefe is sort of in the middle of an easy drinking lager and a hoppy ale for me. Just right. Also it's pronounced heh-feh-vite-zen just so you don't sound like an idiot asking for one, and don't be surprised when amateur bartenders have no idea what you're talking about :P try one with an orange wheel in it, so good

Where on the east coast are you? I'm sure you can find a brewery that makes a NEIPA(New England style IPA) or also called 'hazy/juicy' IPA's.. They're all the craze right now. For good measure, they're easy to drink and only about 50-60 ibu's
