>despite being a middle eastern country I hate how everyone takes this attitude as if the entire Israeli population was living there the whole time, if you took Israel being middle eastern literally and viewed Israel as a never ending nation then it spent most of its existence LOSING not winning, either not existing or being a petty vassal to a larger surrounding empire like something Roman or Islamic. The modern state called Israel is successful because Europeans are successful people, and Jews spent centuries living and interacting with European culture, and they received mountains of support from Europe and the rest of western civilization to boot. It would be impressive if a nation actually endured in the Middle East for so long and emerged in the modern world as a place that produced technology and culture, but in reality it's not that surprising Israel as it stands is like it is considering where it came from and actually look at the origins of the modern state they've decided to name after a long dead ancient kingdom that was cucked 50 ways from sunday by everyone else in the region in some point in history.
