Which one did a better job of murdering it's respective franchise?

Which one did a better job of murdering it's respective franchise?

Well, only one of them has a sequel and a bunch of spin-offs confirmed and in the making, so...

Ghostbusters was for all intents and purposes already dead, so Force Awakens.

>Ghostbusters was for all intents and purposes already dead
The fuck??

Have you watched this?

Yeah, tons of quality Ghostbusters products were in the works with Ramis dead.

>shitty remake that won't even break even
>the most successful film of all time

Gee I dunno OP.

LOL

STAY MAD KEKS

I wouldn't consider the fanbase or fan projects the "Franchise"

Ghostbusters did a fantastic job of damaging the franchise.

from the shitty writing and directing to the fan attacking marketing campaign. One of the most hated trailers on Youtube. Its a masterpiece of self destruction and failure.

TFA was merely uninspired and recycled stuff from A New Hope.

Ghostbusters
>Almost bombed, broke even, it still most likely a financial loss
Star Wars
>Third highest grossing film of all time, second if you don't count Titanic's re-release
Yeah, I'm sure it's clear Ghostbusters is deader than it ever was.

waste of dubs on a retard.

highest Domestic movie ever by a large margin.

>waste of dubs on a retard.

The irony of this statement is astounding.

any chance of a legit Ghostbusters revival died with Ramis, so Force Awakens because it is the basis for countless sequels based on its uninspired concepts

Ghostbusters wasn't dead.

>Ghostbusters
>broke even

No, not even close. That's just the gross. half of that went to the movie theaters. They still have a long way to go to break even and that's not even trying to cover marketing...

TFA was great, shut the fuck up Sup Forums.

A lot of developments since 2014? Ghostbuster Pinball?

Aside from mary sue meme and rehashed plot, TFA was pretty good and enjoyable, and opened the way for a new trilogy and the series to live on. Everyone outside of Sup Forums loved The Force Awakens.

Ghostbusters crashed and burned before it was even out, it would have even made headwaves if it wasn't for the "le misogenies" meme.

>Sup Forums

It's Sup Forums and Sup Forums that are upset that their childhood prequels sucking ass and being ignored.

and Sup Forums is upset Boyaga proved them wrong.

goto bed reddit

TFA was pretty good, that's a bad comparison. I don't understand why people didn't like it besides the whole "remake of A New Hope" aspect. That's a valid criticism. It captured the Star Wars spirit pretty well.

...

>Reddit boogeyman shitposting

>TFA ruins franchise
??????¿
Han Solo dies xdd

>not posting the full picture

It was handled fine and set up Kylo Ren well.

>TFA is bad meme
Never change Sup Forums

That's why I'm confused why this is even a comparison

>TFA is good meme
Mediocre film. It's a remake of Star Wars and yet I left the theatre with dozens of unanswered questions

>the only reason this shit show is on the radar at all is the manufactured controversy over it
Are you that naive?

>misogenies
what kind of soup magics do these beings have?

DAILY REMINDER: Star Wars™ is now Bernie.

>every time
