If David Lynch was asked to direct Batman V Superman or Suicide Squad, what do you think we might have seen?
If David Lynch was asked to direct Batman V Superman or Suicide Squad, what do you think we might have seen?
A retarded series of disconnected images and sounds with everyone praising how great it is because it doesn't have a plot.

btw check out the clip at 0:11 seconds.
It reminds me of something Lynch would have done with the way it is reversed.

Let's hope this scene is in the movie edited this way
A damn fine cup of joe
christ
Something good.
He would've been canned from the project during pre-production when the studio heads realize the mistake they made in hiring a unique voice rather than an interchangeable puppet.
Which of Lynch's movies don't have a plot?
Remember, you're talking to capeshit fans. They don't know how to follow a story.
Everything except Dune and the Straight Story. He even says up front he's never heard anyone understand his movies the way he understand them. If they had a plot at least some people other than himself would get it. Alex Jones interviewed him and tried to ask him what Inland Empire was about and he just refused to say anything other than "it's about a woman in trouble" in response to every question he asked.
nothing because he would have said no.
I know he would have edited Batman to have a real sinister evil face on him in one of the scenes
>taking the symbolism way more with Batman stepping into the shoes of his parents' killer
If anyone has seen Lynch's works: they know he likes to have a scary face somewhere.
Can you imagine Batman with that face running in 2x speed up to the camera with loud distorted cries and laughter?
That Batman and Superman fight scene would have been real fucking terrifying
>Blue Velvet
A boy and a girl investigate the mystery of a dismembered ear that is found in their quaint suburban town.
Boom, there's your plot. It's super simple to follow as well.
>Alex Jones interviewed him and tried to ask him what Inland Empire was about and he just refused to say anything other than "it's about a woman in trouble" in response to every question he asked.
Sure, that's his right as a creator to not have to spoon feed his audience. It's meant for insight and analysis, giving a clear cut answer ruins the point.
He make the same movie than Snyder?
pls kys
but literally every Lynch movie except MAYBE Inland Empire has a very clear plot. Come back when you're done with middle school
>that's his right as a creator to not have to spoon feed his audience
Saying something other than "it's about a woman in trouble" isn't the same thing as spoonfeeding. If it had a real plot he would've talked about it.
That's because no one takes Alex Jones seriously. Also Lynch likes to troll the audience which is why I can't wait for the new season of Twin Peaks.
They will get lynched.
>its a im a huge faggot and think all David Lynch movies have no meanings episode
>cant even handle Eraserhead
Fuck off.
Even Eraserhead?

>Which of Lynch's movies don't have a plot?
Anyone who says his movies don't have a plot are just saying that because they don't understand the genius of Lynch.
Lost Highway is the most easiest film out of his nightmare series to understand.
>Guy murders wife because he is angry at her secretly going to a porno club being his back as she stars in pornos. He then murders all the porno producers before arriving back at his house and saying "Dick Laurent" is dead to himself before the cops show up, chase him down and he is exexcuted.
If you rewatch Lost Highway, you notice in the very first scene when you hear the doorbell and the "Dick Laurent is dead voice" you always hear Fred's car take off and the police chasing him.
This is because Fred is in "limo" during the first scene of the movie. He is just remembering past events. When he enters the body of the younger guy, he is simply reimaginiong how he met his wife and Laurent (who has a different name in this universe) before returning back to normal in the 3rd act as it shows him taking Laurent out into the desert and killing him.
The movie is not in order. Lynch purposely edited the scenes so they do not make sense after each other.
But Lynch too put bits and pieces in the film which mind-fucks anyone like myself who believes he understands it such as the fingerprints of the guy Fred enters in the second act - his finger prints are discussed by the cops in the 3rd act. I believe this is Fred still "telling himself" he really did enter another persons body because anyway the final frame of the film has him trying to morph back but in reality the morphing is just all in Fred's head I believe as the electric strikes on his face are from him being electrocuted and dying and the "Highway" represents him stuck in Limbo or something with the crimes he has done.
>But Lynch's films have no plot
>the "david lynch is secretly a genius messing with everyone" meme
He's just a mentally ill guy who found a niche doing outsider art like other schizophrenics and autists sometimes do.
What's not clear about the plot of Eraserhead?
Eraserhead is about a guy in a shitty marriage, in a shitty world, with a shitty baby. Everything else is window dressing. Lynch movies have very simple plot lines. It's all the other stuff he put in that confuses people
Eraserhead is extremely simple to get.
ESPECIALLY Eraserhead, you fucking idiot
a lot of silent trembling
Fuck my spelling errors
>guy is forced to look after his mutated baby whilst his wife leaves him and not being able to handle it, he kills the baby while throughout the movie he dreams strange dreams such as that lady singing who keeps him company
How can you be so dumb to not understand a movie like Eraserhead?
"a woman in trouble" IS the plot though. A bit simplified, but any narrative can be boiled down to a few words, that's the whole idea behind loglines. That's all you need for the basis of a great story and narrative, if you know what you're doing.
>Alex Jones
There is why he didn't wanted to respond.
>MAYBE Inland Empire
Inland Empire is a 3 hour epic containing many short stories. These short stories are crammed and glued in another so it doesn't make sense (Lynch purposely doing this to mind fuck his audience) the way you watch it from start to finish - similar to Lost Highway.
Lynch is the master of poetry
Something with Batman being a literal bat and Superman being some kind of super rapist.
They also never actually fight.
>They also never actually fight.
Have you seen the opening of Wild At Heart where Nic Cage beats to death a black guy?
Of course Lynch would include a Batman and Superman fight but it would be way more violent and we'd prob see Batman smashing Superman's head into the ground with his brain's scattering everywhere before Superman regenerates

Somebody watched Upstream Color

...
Lmao
It may sound mindblowing, but I think it's just competent storytelling. Put down the peace pipe once in a while.
>competent storytelling
What did he mean by this?
So the same movie?
Seriously you actually don't agree with my Lost Highway plot?
dune 2
You sound like a teenager on the internet trying to explain a Tool album or Donnie Darko.
>I've never seen Elephant Man and Straight Story
I probably should have said "film making" considering you may argue that he treats his """films""" like a moving work of art.
>I've never seen Elephant Man and Straight Story
I actually haven't
I can only wish
They already made a Dune 2 (the mini series which follows Books 2 and 3)
Very underrated
lynch did eraserhead, right? that had a pretty straightforward plot.
ignore the trolls who pretend Lynch doesn't have a plot in his films.. you have to be insane to believe that.
Snyder is GOD
I want to go to a reality where he directed RotJ
You seen this fanedit trailer? Makes you wonder what the film would be like if Lynch directed it

That tremolo reverby picked bass sound in the Twin Peaks intro them is the best thing ever.
this?

I just recorded that now kek
Nothing because thats not what Lynch does you fucking child. Now go watch The Straight Story ten times as punishment.
never heard of it. is it good?
