Post a film you're on the fence about watching, other anons encourage you to watch or not watch said film
It's good
I like the fucked up ending
That's all I remember I watched it like 6 years ago... maybe I'll watch it again now you reminded me
holy fucking shit dude just go watch it. it is fucking brutal.
>watching gook shit
Not even once.
>the taxi scene
Kino at its finest
korean movies are a meme
The only torture porn movie that didn't feel forced or meaningless.
...
It's Korean Tom and Jerry.
Her.
Downloaded months ago haven't watched still
here's a better poster, you mong
what the fuck?
what are you afraid of?
it's an action thriller that runs for like 2 hours (i think)
watch it or don't numb nuts
Has probably THE best buddy movie banter in creation, also Halle Berry tits.
Its very good but the hero is invincible which dumbed it down for me a little but still great film
>tfw i had this on vhs
>remember the scene where willis was talking to the bouncer making fun of his wife
OP , youre slacking if you havent seen this...fucking incredible, and im not really that much into korean cinema
Suck my peepee you tough guy
shots fired!
Great fucking movie.
Watch it. It's great.
I genuinely hated this movie
it was fucking trope piled on top of trope piled ontop of trope to the point that it felt more like a korean remake of Scary movie.
>literally the opening scene
>"hey Main-Character, it's me your beautiful wife!"
>"let's make cutesy jokes and talk about how happy we are together"
>"things have been busy lately so we haven't had as much time for each other though..."
>"so I wanted to call to wish you a happy birthday and sing you a cute song to embarass you!"
>"oh no my car broke down
>"hang on a nice suspicious looking man is coming to help! I'll talk to you soon!"
>aside: "my loving husband does not know I'm pregnant yet, I'm waiting to surprise him with this happy news!"
>"hello dark homeless-looking stranger yes I am having car trouble!"
The whole fucking movie is like this, it was insufferable. But then again I'm probably just fucking autistic since I have literally never seen anyone else complain about it or even point out that it is nothing but a bunch of hastily cobbled together clichés instead of actual characters. Literally all I see is people saying how awesome it is so this is definitely not the predominant veiw. Might as well fucking get it over with OP
I absolutely hated almost everything about it, but it's one of those movies like Forrest Gump that gets talked about so much it's probably worth being familiar with. You might even enjoy it, who knows.
...
I have never seen someone complain about this movie but I completely agree. I don't know why people recommend this. Most of the heavily recommended Korean stuff is actually just garbage. Everybody watches Oldboy, but Chan-wook Park's stuff is pretty lazy (the first sympathy and oldboy being the only worthwhile gangster-type films). Then people watch Bong Joon-ho which is fine. Then they get to Kim Ki-duk, which is only slightly worthwhile if you skip all his shocking bullshit and just go straight for the romance/drama. A few people make it to Hong Sang-soo but literally every single movie he makes is exactly the same and there's like a dozen of them in every best-of-korea list. I have never seen a Korean movie from someone other than these directors that is not a total piece of shit.
Its slow pace isn't really warranted, but the story does become interesting at a certain point. It's worth watching for the special effects alone.
There's no telling what anyone will think of this movie, as you can see by the lack of responses.
>"We cooked all the fish we used in the film and ate them, expressing our appreciation. I've done a lot of cruelty on animals in my films. And I will have a guilty conscience for the rest of my life."
pretty based desu.
also chan-wook park might be overrated (i think oldboy is garbage actually) but mr. vengeance is a masterpiece.
It doesn't give you any new information that you don't already know about ShillBill Volume 2 and it's all "acted", and bad. It also ends with not 1, not 2, but 3 shitty patriotic songs set to images of eagles and cowboys and kids eating hotdogs and shit.
Basically no.
It's great as long as you can deal with the fact that you aren't supposed to like all or even most of the characters. It can be a bit cliched at times, but it's well written and acted so it's not particularly an issue. If nothing else, it's really well paced, so it doesn't feel near it's length which is only like 2 hours, and like said, it's talked about a ton, so you should be familiar with it. Although it's definitely a better movie than Forrest Gump in nearly every way, or at least not as painful to watch.
If you have trouble establishing and dealing with relationships with people, which since you're posting here you definitely do, you will get a lot out of this movie even if you don't love it. Also good if you like feeling things, because if nothing else it's very sad at times.
It's an underrated buddy cop comedy written by Shane Black. If you liked Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, The Nice Guys, or Lethal Weapon, you'll like it.
This movie was really good OP
Any good?
I've had it downloaded for so long, and I really don't know much about it.
its kind of comfy
Edgy to the Max, but the cinematography is excellent and so is Choice min sik
10/10 movie
I'm new to foreign films, what is this the title for this?
...
>10 word title
this still triggers me. who are you, fall out boy?
Come on. Already dwnldd it.
...
its really comfy
>wanting Sup Forumss opinion
>the board that does nothing but watch capeshit and discuss box office grosses of said films
>Chan-wook Park's stuff is pretty lazy
You motherfu-
>(the first sympathy and oldboy being the only worthwhile gangster-type films)
Nevermind, you get a pass, I can't be mad at anyone who recognises Sympathy for Mr. V
mulholland drive
>oldboy being the only worthwhile gangster-type
are you high? thats a pleb test. And by the way Sympathy for Mr. V can such Mrs V dick
This is one of mine that I have downloaded but can't convince myself to watch
It's one of Nolan's best movies, although I'm not sure that's saying much. It's not as good as Memento, but it's better than Inception. If you like either of those movies, you'll probably like this.
Watch it right now if you really love Spielberg. If you don't, there are still worse ways to spend 2 hours I guess, but you might not be that into it.
>mulholland drive
Naomi Watts masturbates. Do you need to know more?
Pretty good, is fairly hit and miss but even if you don't like it as much as some people it's still worth watching. Nolan's a good director but a shit writer and this is directed by him but not written, if that's worth anything to you. There are better things you could watch, but a whole lot of worse things you could watch too.
>It's one of Nolan's best movies, although I'm not sure that's saying much. It's not as good as Memento, but it's better than Inception. If you like either of those movies, you'll probably like this.
thanks. what keeps me away from that movie is the XIX shit. but i will give it a try.
Mr. V is a masterpiece and Mrs. V is meandering bullshit that only gets by on decent direction when the story and acting is awful. You are the true pleb, user.
>that scene when they decide how to kill him and then how they clean up.
fuck you, sir.
Thank you.
It's a pretty great movie. One of the best movies to come out of Korea. Solid 8.5/10.
>the scene where the deaf guy realises the little girl has drowned whilst he was burying his sister
Right back at you, you piece of shit.
Paris, Texas
>the scene where the deaf guy realises the little girl has drowned whilst he was burying his sister
and? thats all you got? you mean nuffin to me. a mediocre movie for simple ppl.
you dont like "A Dirty Carnival"?
Everyone says it's shit but I've been curious as to how it could have one over Brokeback Mountain
Also curious about this
I really liked this one
say Sup Forums do you know something that goes in the same direction and is actually really good
drop that shit and watch better Crash
I have, it's great, just curious about the other one
The other one is just oscar bait.
it's really bad, don't bother
Saw it in theaters, was very mediocre. Overly melodramatic just for the sake of cheap emotions. Not worth your time.
I loved it, but know what you're getting into first. I don't want to see you on here bitching about how it doesn't have a plot tomorrow.
It's not a conventional movie, it's a very bizarre and psychedelic lesbian feminist art film. If that sounds like something you'd enjoy, then watch it.
>the assassination of jessie and james by howard the duck
...
Good cinematography, good acting, gets a bit boring and slow, the ending sucks.
I've had it downloaded for almost a year and still haven't watched it.
You should definitely watch it.
PSH and Phoenix are both fantastic in it
Crash is Oscar bait but imo I thought it was well done oscar bait. I didn't mind it much. Most despised it and for understanding reasons. If you have a tolerance for that stuff then check it out, if not then stay away from it
Really good film. Bale does a great job
Boring. watched only half of it. Maybe the second half is better. i dont get whats the idea behind that movie.i wouldnt recommend
Good but i am affraid it got out of date. Too many movies of that kind. Of course Bale carries that movie, because the script is average
Looks interesting but not too sure
heard that the shootout scenes are well made
...
If this somehow isn't bait, you need to watch this as soon as possible
sorry Sup Forums, no bait
just a Sup Forumsirgin who doesn't know good kino
Sort of dumb, really predictable twist they give away way too early.
If you're considering watching Heat at all you've probably got better taste than 95% of this board tbhonest
OP, fucking do it. God damn that movie gets twisted.
You meant NOT watching? everyone has seen Heat. what are you talking about?
I can respect the opinion of the guy who said he hated it, but I have to say I don't share that sentiment. It's very well acted, pretty clever at times, pretty funny at times, and overall a pretty well rounded movie. I would seriously recommend it, at the very least it won't be a waste of time
Nobody on this board has seen any movie they talk about, they're all just shitposting and you know it
LOL
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter...And Spring
Best korean movie
>People shouldnt like stuff I dont like
Okay lad
How is it?
Fucking great. Definitely watch it
Tangled
>really predictable twist they give away way too early
...
It's one of my personal favorites. But it's really a love it or hate it type of movie. It's hard to judge.
If you do not know a lot about Hillary's corruption and failures then I recommend it. However, go on Sup Forums for about 20 minutes and you'll know most of the stuff this movie tells you about.
It's got great acting and some of the best cinematography of the 2000s in my opinion. I highly recommend watching it.
If you like Nolan then it's a yes. If you don't then I don't know if you'll like it.
Comfy, but quite forgettable. Stranger Things did it better.
Some find it boring but I think it's some of PTA's best work.
Give it a shot. I love this movie.
Heat is fantastic. The shootouts are amazing, it's got some interesting character philosophy and development and visually it's very impressive. Highly recommended.
I still am super pumped for The Handmaiden
still can't force myself to watch this. i know it's probably great, but just can't start
Same. I heard so many good things about it, and I know it's a masterpiece but I have no idea when to start with this. I barely watch movies longer than 150 minutes.
I saw the devil is probably one of the weakest of this popular stretch of SK drama/copfilm/action films. Mainly because it doesn't escalate. It starts of violent and grim and it remains violent and grim throughout, so much so that it gets predictable and repetitive. Also, exhausting. Couldnae be bothered finishing it tbf ham.
Dont. I heard all the good things about it and end up watching a long ass movie about tribal arabs, arabian weaboo, filled with gay undertones.
But it had some cool desert shot tho
Go watch english patient instead.
