can't decide on pic related, they're all my favorite

Anything from the pre-Neko era. Cause anything Neko and after, while having great lyrics, just sounds like shit.

Sky Ferreira

She looks like the camwhore with the dragon dildo I fapped to yesterday

did she has a penis?

I guess she counts even though Melt-Banana is a band and not just Yasuko.

Fav song: If It Is The Deep Sea, I Can See You There.

i love her so much

youtube.com/watch?v=-odF-y1nQvw

Why PJ Harvey is so underrated on Sup Forums?

everything

There's no hype about her anymore and she's not classic yet.

>posting Danz on Sup Forums for deviants to defile her

she cant write a song to save her life.

But I love her music...

Do you tune into her radio show? I enjoy it

Patti Smith

Horses or Radio Ethiopia

I listen to it from time to time.

Did you hear her cover of Is It Like Today? It is as good as her own songs.

Bjork - Aurora
youtube.com/watch?v=CZn-2lOe9Kk

Broadcast - Tears in the Typing Pool
youtube.com/watch?v=0WVVWXcbBJs

Frankie Cosmos - Sad 2
youtube.com/watch?v=Uw9PKoe0t2U

Grouper - Lighthouse
youtube.com/watch?v=Cm4fk2bZbno

Speaking of deviants, let's be real, she will never be popular here. That's a good thing.

I enjoy her covers, the mac demarco one was better than the original. I really like her don't speak (no doubt cover), she doesn't make enough sadder-sounding songs like that and she totally should

Are you also cautiously optimistic for Cody & Danz - Only The Hits? Friendzone was all right

Joni Mitchell
youtube.com/watch?v=0YuaZcylk_o

Toni Halliday

Tough to come up with one favorite song. So many.

Curve- All Of One
youtu.be/9kLsLnZkBQE

Curve were bloody amazing.

youtube.com/watch?v=tZ7_ufLazwM

Indeed. One of my favorites.

Everyone knows boa for their Lain anime opening song, but this is one of the most addictive songs from their 90s album which no one knows about

youtube.com/watch?v=7CEYjQAp3cs

I love her voice and style, when she goes "OOoohhhoooAOOAAAOaoaoaohhh" after some verses

They're so underrated. Their later output is even more underrated. Gift for instance.

youtube.com/watch?v=-nte5qXB1PE

Gift is a great album. Check out Open Day at the Hate Fest if you haven't already. Way of Curve has some great unreleased material. Great, solid discography.

On the Wheel (from Way of Curve)
youtu.be/BPuWiNA9KAk

I know all their discography, including B-sides and Toni Halliday's collaborations (do you know she sang on Leftfield's Original?)

youtube.com/watch?v=SILVQpqmH7U

Yup. Did a Christmas song with The Killers too. Lol. Nice to see some love for Curve here.

You know about SPC ECO and Chatelaine?

youtube.com/watch?v=mHJ5EjL83no

youtube.com/watch?v=kV9sNmujCPk
TEN FEET TEN FEET TALL

best in thread

Kim Deal for me, when she fronted The Breeders

youtube.com/watch?v=hgOg4NGCYR8

Of course. SPC ECO are still doing music while Chatelaine seems to be a one album project. It seems that Dean Garcia wanted to reform Curve but Toni refused to be involved in the music biz once again. Shame.

youtu.be/kPshx-3AFKo

This is better than MBV: youtube.com/watch?v=Q9Plourz3Xs

That's funny you say that because I read about that just the other day. Shame Toni seems to be done with the Music Biz. Her husband is Alan Moulder too. You would think she would be around it all the time with her husband being a bid shot producer and all. I dunno.' One band I would kill to see live. I had a shot years ago on the Come Clean tour but didn't have the funds.

Again posting an American friendly link to a great Curve song
youtu.be/SN5E-FYzm8c

In case you're still around

I have a feeling that Curve will sink into obscurity and their memory will die with their old fanbase. A tour right now could bring them a new fanbase. Shoegaze is quite popular these days (MBV, Lush, Slowdive, Ride reunited). If people don't know who you are, you're not relevant, simple as that.

It's not like they were ever hugely popular to begin with (which I never understood). I get the impression that Toni doesn't like to tour. Sad. One of the most underrated bands.

Yes, they weren't really popular. But they had some minor hits in the UK charts.

Superblaster sounded accessible enough to be a big hit.

hard to choose just one song but i love this live performance. she has been topping my aoty lists for three years straight.

Grouper makes the most brilliant mushroom trip music ever. Had the best trip of my life while listening to AIA Alien Observer and Ruins.

>female musician
they're just called musicians

Marvel of the century

Frances Quinlan of Hop Along
10/10 songwriter and one of the best singers of the decade imo

youtube.com/watch?v=uE1yVuVYd8I

>"musician"
>doesn't play any instruments

It's not required to play instruments in order to be called a musician. And btw vocals are considered instruments too.

>Tonia

Blondie, you fags

???

Prefer Fuzz but good taste user

also this

Fuzz is in my Top 5. Lovely video too.

I just find out that KOM_I of Wednesday Campanella is a friend with Danz,

this. she kind of reminds me of jenny lewis but with a better voice and better songwriting

...

...

>Luciano Pavarotti wasn't a musician
Troll logic yo

björk - pagan poetry

>be danz hiptser
>following her since 2011
>still retard Spectronic as her true masterpiece, a perfect record all the way through
>can never bring this up because it'll out me as a huge nerd because we're actually somewhat friends now

Debbie Harry
>Heart of Glass
>Will anything happen
>Rapture
>Union City Blue

Spectronic is a nice EP, but Davos is her real masterpiece. The evolution from her early EPs to Davos is quite substantial.

youtube.com/watch?v=nIADfbyudL8

I'm incredulous, they has so much good press they had to have been more popular than you suppose

They were quite heavy and industrial-ish to be popular. Successful industrial bands like NIN are the exception, not the rule.

better production and songwriting but spectronic just had a certain charm

nothing earlier or later has it

her aesthetic peaked there

I think you're seeing that EP through nostalgia lens. Not a bad thing, though.

Speaking of her EPs, I think that Electronic Fences is her best EP.

Jenny Lewis probably isn't the best comparison. Jenny's vocals are clear, clean, and tend to have some sardonic tones to them. Frances range is pretty maxed from cutesy highs and soulful, raspy lows.

was about to post
>not milk
but you're my man, nigga

grimeth gets tons of hate here, but I still love some of her better songs
youtube.com/watch?v=JtH68PJIQLE

Also the girl from Purity Ring was fantastic, shame they shit the bed on their second album
youtube.com/watch?v=zTv48HHZFn4

and last but not least, Karin Dreijer, she should be at legend status for the stuff she did as part of The Knife and as Fever Ray
youtube.com/watch?v=WoKkncKvNo0

>and last but not least, Karin Dreijer, she should be at legend status for the stuff she did as part of The Knife and as Fever Ray
She's quite forgotten these days.

I think EF is not her best EP because all she did was remaster 4 old songs, even if it does contain the most iconic version of her most iconic song

I also think you're a waifuposter and should leave Sup Forums

youtube.com/watch?v=kMo_l_-2KMs

i think in the early days she wouldn't let anyone else write any music, so early stuff might as well be just her

I am also a fan of Carly Rae Jepsen but Taylor Swift is still my top one.
Though Carly Rae Jepsen is a pretty close second.

You better leave. Now.
