>The driver of the sedan it turns out to be an 18 year old girl who just graduated high school and got her license and her car
>Multiple broken bones and blunt force trauma

I have a lot more graphic stories if you want to hear 'em

I feel for you bro. I've had to do CPR on 4 people, saved maybe 2 of them and the other two would have probably been ok until emergency services arrived The last one I did really fucked me over for a few weeks though - I knew he would've died if I hadn't done something.

Assuming you're a paramedic or EMT (whatever they call them in US), you guys are legit heros and so professional too. I used to want to be an EMT but having all this happen to me I don't know if I could handle it mentally, especially seeing people's guts splattered all over the pavement.

Respect to you, user.

Story number two
>Dispatched to local residence for a patient claiming to have swollen arms and lesions on them
>Me and my partner talk about how we think this call is probably bogus and shit
>Arrive on scene to poverty ridden shithole and walk out to a shed where the patient is living
>He opens the door and my first thought is "Oh fuck"
>His left arm is wrapped partially in stretch bandage and is twice the size of his right arm
>patient claims he dropped a box of horse shoes last week and didnt go to the doctor about the cut
>he is pale and sweaty, both signs of shock caused by sepsis in this case
>attempt to establish IV access on the patient and transport him to the local hospital
>Drop him off and go about our day
>Get called back to the ER to do a transport from there back to a nursing home
>Show up and BS with the nurses
>Hear a code blue in OR 2 get called on the intercom
>Me and my partner follow the nurses to the Operating Room
>They were amputating sepsis guys arm because the infection had spread into his chest and he went into cardiac arrest
>Doing CPR on him and working him
>Surgeon still now finish the surgery and sewing up the stump on his arm
>Guys arm is just sitting on the table next to us
>After a round or two of drugs they get the guy back
>Continue surgery
>Patient goes into cardiac arrest again
>Work him again and finally finish the amputation
>Dies shorty a few hours later

These types of idiots need to be jailed for life.

I'm a firefighter/EMT-IV Tech
I love it. There is no better high than running a crazy call or saving a life. I have done CPR more times than I can count and have seen hundreds of deaths (partially due to prior job assisting coroner with removals) so I'm just used to blood and gore at this point. I went on a call last month and had to come home and shower the blood off of me and out of my uniform because it had soaked my entire pant leg through with blood and ruined everything in my pockets. I was still finding blood and chunks of face on my boots for a week.

Agreed. The guy in question did not get charged. Maybe a citation but he didnt get arrested.

Well again, much respect and love to you people. Thank you for all those you people have helped, including myself at a number of 'bad times' in my life.
Be safe and keep it up user.

Interesting stories. Continue user.

Story number three
>Dispatched for a structure fire
>Dispatch reports a person trapped upstairs in the home
>police arrive and make entry and evacuate one homeowner
>They try to make entry upstairs and are unable to due to fire spread
>when they showed up they could the the person beating on the window upstairs
>I arrive shortly after the initial first few units and gear up to go inside
>Go inside and back up the tea trying to head upstairs
>house pathway is fucked, making our task nearly impossible since you can only enter upstairs from the back of the home and downstairs from the front with the exception of a door that leads to the bottom of the stairs to go upstair
>but we couldn't open because it blocks the stairway
>we just back them up through a small opening in the door
>Get directed outside to hit the fire through a upstairs window
>We fight fire for more than an hour
>Finally overhaul the fire and are still attempting the cool the room for a few more hours
>Coroner investigates and we make a human shield to block the pubic from watching the body be carried out
>body is charred black and burnt all over
>Flesh is torn in multiple spots
>Skull cap is popped off due to the heat and left the skull empty without a brain
>Blood pooled in the bottom of the skull
>Girl who was burnt to a crisp turned out to be someone I went to elementary and high school with

any stroke/heart attack stories? What were the victims like in terms of symptoms/behavior (stroke and heart attacks are my phobias)

Fuck.

I know it helps to talk about this stuff OP so go ahead, share your feels with us. Also have some virtual anime hugs if it helps.

damn dude. fellow EMT here. Quit when i got a call where a junkie stabbed his kid ~10 times and defecated on him. hell of a fun job before that though, props to you man sticking with it

Appreciate it.

Story number four
This is the call from last month where I got soaked in blood
>Dispatched to a suicide attempt at 3AM
>Dispatch says a 91 year old male shot himself in the head with a firearm
>Per RP (reporting Party) the males face is badly injured and he is still breathing
>Arrive on scene within 5 minutes of the call. law enforcement had to have been there in under 3 minutes from time of call
>Walk in and see the medic unit who beat me to the scene trying to get an IV while the duputy suctions the airway with our gear
>Blood is fucking everywhere, you are stepping in it without a doubt no way around it
>We have some go get a backboard so we get we can lift him to our gurney without injuring him more
>I take over suction the airway while the medic gets ready to intubate
>Guys face is blow apart from the upper jaw down
>His lower jaw is gone and in pieces
>Can see pieces of jaw bone with teeth attached sticking out of parts of his face
>Suctoning his wound but I can't keep up with the bleeding
>He has a constant pool of blood in the back of his throat
>The smell of blood at this point is really strong
>Medic intubates the guy successfully and we get him to our rig
>Start finishing out assessment and hook him up to the monitor and prepare to transport
>Call for airlift to meet us at our local hospital 10 minutes away
>Head to local hopsital while bagging him with the bag valve mask
>Arrive to the local hospital, chopper still a few minutes out
>Due to a providers misinterpretation on medical laws we stay in our rig to avoid entering the ER and causing a paperwork shitstorm due to not following hospital to hospital transfer rules
>Helicopter arrives and airlifts the guy to local trauma center where he later died in surgery

We run those calls fairly commonly.
Strokes you can watch for by looking out for Facial Droop, Arm Drift, and Word Slurring, as well as a few other possible symptoms.

I agree. All ears OP

Here is a story for a heart attack we had a while back
>Dispatched to a CPR in progress at local fire station
>Medic unit is out on a call and is returning to station
Firefighters wife who is an RN is waiting to bring him dinner when a car drove up
>Woman in passenger seat having a major heart attack
>She drops dead in front of the RN
>Starts CPR
>arrive on scene after the medic unit, the patient is loaded in the ambulance by now
>work her on scene until we get pulses back
>tell husband we are headed to the hopsital
>he says" alright I'm going to head home and feed the dogs first then I will meet you there
>patient is only alive because her heart is being electrically paced after getting ROSC (return of spontaneous circulation)
>She codes during transport again
>Start CPR again
>I'm doing compressions on her and she is opening her eyes and looking around trying to grab at us because the CPR is perfusing her brain with enoguh blood for her to become conscious
>She is looking at us and grabbing out
>When we would stop for a pulse check she would go unconscious again
>Get to local ER with pulses back
>Dies about 5 minutes after our arrival at the hospital

>Be cop
>Slow sunday as usual im just patrolling looking for shit rats
>Get call to local mall
>Dispatch tells me theres a female running around the mall naked.
>Lights n sirens
>Dis gun be some fucked up shit
>Show up just as security is putting her in cuffs
>See something hanging off her forhead
>Its a fucking dildo, super glued to her forehead
>Try my fucking hardest not to laugh
>Have to section 28 her (Mental health arrest)
>Bring her to the hospital
>Waiting with her inside a private room with partner
>Wait 5 fucking hours for the doctor to show up while this bitch rambles on and on about how satan has chosen her to be the new Dali lama.
>Doc walks in and says "Oh look you brought me a unicorn"
>Fucking almost die laughing

that was last week...Got more stories if anyone interested.

kek, yes more of this sorta thing, thanks.

Story number six
>Dispatched to a motorcycle wreck at about 10pm
>Reporting party says bike lost control and went off the road, motorcyclist still down
>arrive on scene and back board the guy and get him into our rig
>Cut his clothes off
>Patient says he wants to puke (sign of head injury)
>His head struck a stump after his helmet came off in the wreck
>patients scalp is peeled off and his skull is expose and crushed inward
>Multiple scapres and bruises all over the rest of his body.
>we paralyze, sedate and intubate him
>call for airlift to meet us our local hopsital
>meet airlift there and he gets sent off to a trauma center

Jesus christ, what an awful way to die. I really hope that never happens to me or anyone I know

how often are heart attack and strokes fatal anecdotally speaking?

ouch ;_; is he deaded?

OP here, here is a funny dildo story
>Guys around the firehouse in a prank war
>One guy gets a pink dildo that lights up when moved and places in the officers radio pocket on his turnout gear
>They get called to a head on MVA with entrapment
>Patient ins seriously injured and highway is getting shut down
>Fire Engine LT goes to reach for his radio
>Whips out giant flashy dildo in the middle of a busy road shut down by a serious accident surrounded by bystanders
>Chief looks over and sees this and is not happy

Fire/EMT-IV tech here, I have seen more people die of seizures than I have heart attacks or strokes personally speaking

Top fucking kek

>I'm going to head home and feed the dogs first

Massive respect to you guys, I'm a fellow spic who got hit by a car when I was 4. Although it wasn't life threatening, you have no idea how safe I felt because of the seriousness the EMT's had and how they worried about my life. Good luck user!

>Multiple scapres

Fuck, bro.

My helmet fell off the engine and was hit by a car once.

Not sure

Story number eight
>Dispatched to a chest pain call 12am
>Guy says he has blood clots in his heart and has an appointment 130 miles away at local uni to get it checked
>run this call and get the patient to sign out AMA against medical advice or non-transport ,whatever one it was
>While we get him to sign the paperwork a call gets toned in our response area
>CPR in progress on a 14 month old
>Haul ass to scene and arrive as 2nd medic unit, 2 command units on scene as well
>walk in and see parents on the couch
>Father is holding the mother who is sobbing uncontrollably
>see a doorway where everyone is
>Can see a small pale set of legs laying on the ground moving with every chest compression
>I stand outside and wait to get swapped in
>Get swapped in for CPR
>Start doing compressions on this baby
>kid is pale and lifeless
>Work him like any other code
>I get swapped out and start bagging his airway
>When I was doing CPR I felt like I could feel his lungs expanding under my fingers with every artificial breath
>The kids brother who must be a toddler is sleeping in his crib a few feet away
>Never get pulses back
>Call local ER for declaration of death, not required but for documentation purposes to cover our ass
>We all walk out somber like slowly one by one walking past the parents as they slowly start to realize what that must mean
>Step outside while the lead medic explains the situation
>Kid is pronounced dead

>Get a call that theres someone waving a needle around at the hospital threatning to stab people with it
>Show up, grab the bean bag shotgun and walk into the main entrance of emerge
>Guy standing there with a needle
>"DROP THE FUCKING NEEDLE GET ON THE FUCKING GROUND NOW DO IT GET ON THE FUCKING GROUND NOW DROP IT OR ILL BLOW FUCKING HEAD OFF" literally what I said to him
>Guy looks at me like a deer in headlights
>Keep yelling at him "DROP THE FUCKING NEED AND GET ON THE GROUND"
>Guy starts crying "Stop swearing at me!"
>Me very softly: "Drop the needle and get on the ground....please..."
>Guy drops needle and lays on his stomache
>Partner cuffs him while Im still drawn on him

Had a good laugh about it after and its probably one of those you had to be there to really appreciate it.

ty for sharing all this i definitely like these kinda stories

ill keep reading as long as your posting user, keep up the brave work you're a hero

I left my iphone on our fire engine bumper while en route to a call
>Realize this down the road and stop
>My phone is still there thanks to my case having grip

Best story so far.

Seriously thanks user. Couldn't do it myself. Shits badass and fucked up.

o fuc i responded before i read that im not into stories about babies dtying just about intense car crashes and shit jesus christ thats crazy

P.E.F.Y.C.
Pre extricated for your convince

What happened with the kid? Is it normal for toddlers hearts to just stop unexpectedly?

Got one thats short and sweet. My first ever call. Jogger hit by semi, almost complete amutation midway down the leg below the knee. Leg was being held on by about an inch of skin. I guess i can give the story if anyone wants to hear it.

>91 y/o suicide
like why man? comon, the ole' scythe was just about around the corner anyway.
what a selfish prick. fuckin geezers man. pricks.

Fuck that just hit me hard, I have a 14month old now. I'd probly hang myself if that happened to him.

Any specific stories you guys want to hear? I've got quite a few
Story number nine
This happened a few days ago
>Dispatched to a possible shooting
>Reporting party called 91 and said he did something very bad
>tells dispatch he shot an officer 3 times in the chest killing him and says he killed his wife 0 minutes prior
>says there are 2 other officers outside calling for him to come out
>Guy says the cop is in uniform and gives dispatch the officers name
>our local PD has no units there but that doesnt mean it isnt a fed or DOC
>We stage a few roads down
>Cops start swarming the scene in this order
>A few county SUVs and a few State Patrol units
>About 5 minutes later another 2 sheriff deputies show up and just behind them is an MRAP with 2 more deputies behind it
>they zoom by
>another 2 deputies come zooming by followed by an APC with a ram
>Another sheriff goes by along with a Coms van
>about 5 detectives or undercover state patrol and county deputies show up
>Guy gets pepper sprayed
>He was full of shit
>Not sure what his reason for lying was

Not what the cause of death ended up being. Not normal or common. Most baby deaths end up being SIDS, homicides or head injuries

My friend who is a local coroner deputy made the joke saying she self extricated.

Fuck I meant to say 30 minutes prior. My keyboard sucks balls

my cousin's 92yo father in law just shot himself. he had cancer so i guess he figured he'd just get it over with. The difference between him and that other guy was that he knew how to use a gun and so all they found was the corpse

probably wanted to suicide by cop, or was mentally challenged. Or both lol

>Dispatched to structure fire at 3am on a Sunday
>Get to structure and all that's left is a small bit of the frame
>Size scene up
>Notice fire spreading across yard so we pull hose and extinguish
>Start working on house
>Notice a few dogs running around that appear to have recently had pups
>Continue fighting, contain fire to foundation
>Head around back to check on another attack team
>Everyone stops for a few seconds to listen to water supply.
>Hear dogs barking really close to us, a group of pups.
>Start looking around and eventually realize that it's coming from under the half-burned porch
>Fellow firefighter power stomps the porch making a hole.
>See three pups so we grab them and hose them off, take them to the homeowner.
>Homeowner says that's all from that litter but there should be another under the front porch
>Look at front of the building and realize that the whole fucking porch was burnt to a crisp before we even got called out
>Start looking anyway

Needless to say, we never found those pups and the house was a total loss. One of the hardest fires I've been to so far.

Story #10 and #11, both dead body related
>Called to help remove a corpse
>Guy has been there for about 4 days in his house with the space heater on
>Guy died of GI bleed from being a chronic alcoholic so there is blood everywhere
>His corpse is purifying and rotting
>Discolored mutiple colors of purple, green and yellow
>feet are mummified from being by the heater
>I grab his legs while partner grabs shoulders to get the guy out of where he is
>in a small Winnebago? in the eback bedroom tucked in a corner with nu sheet underneath to drag him
>While moving him you can hear the fluids of decomosition gurgling in his throat as gas exits the body
>His skin is sliding off underneath my gloves and I can feel it like I have none on because of how thin they are
>I am in full tyvek and masked up
>Get him out and get some fresh air
>Try to remove my tyvek suit and my gloves rip
>They were taped to my sleeves and wont come off and are too tight and need cut off
>fml

>#11
>Called for the same
>Body found, been there about 5 days in the summer heat in a house
>Sitting on the couch, bloated, black and purple
>Various sized blisters ranging from small to fist sized all over his body
>Put body bag under his feet and slide him off couch
>When I grab his sweat pants all the blisters under his pants pop and drain blood and fluid into the body bag
>Every one on his body popping at the slightest touch
>Worst fucking smell of my life

Kek, wish I could've been there to see that one.

Fucking christ that's nauseating just reading about it.
More please.

Not really a "first responder" but always there when the real police aren't.

>be me, 2013 bright and unbelievably warm winter night
>it's 3 am and it starts to completely blizzard
>I get a dispatch call saying that one of the cities buildings intrusion alarm is going off
>I chalk it up to the heavy snowfall
>I'm only 7 minutes away so I pickup the dispatch and take it
Fastforward 6 minutes of me driving in 6 inches of snow in my Ford Explorer
>I arrive at the main entry to the cities property
>I notice a beater Honda parked right next to the main fence gate and could see the padlock securing the door on the ground
>I black out and run the plate through the cities plate list
(It's like the police database but it's filled with all government registered vehicles for our properties and vehicles that we've came in contact with)
>plate is clean and does not come back to anyone. This raises my suspicions
>I get out of my vehicle and go up to the vehcile with my handgun halfway out of its holster
>I look inside and see some file storage boxes
>I go back to my vehicle and radio my situation to dispatch
(At this point dispatch contacts the local homeland security division to help me with searching the building, this is standard procedure when city property is being stolen)
>Dispatch tells me that it will be another 10 minutes until homeland security arrives
>my vehicle is parked in a very open spot so I decide to drive into the empty parking lot and wait
>I can hear loud banging on the backside of the building, so loud that it's heard over my radio in the vehicle.
>another unit with my company overhears the radio chatter and decides to stop in, as he pulls in a black male comes around the corner and sees us parked
Our vehicles look like local law enforcement, he only difference is we don't have a light bar on top of our roofs.
>the black male retreats back inside, me and the other dude I was with saw the whole thing
cont.

hes a big guy

how hard was it using the bvm on a dude who's face was obliterated? getting that seal must've been a bitch

uh, the hell is up with his junk boss?
hung like a bear or what looks obscene if ya ask me.

just because shes 18 and graduated doesn't mean shes innocent. fuck her. also yes moar.

He was breathing himself up until he got intubated

Swollen with fluids. The body pictures is a prop but is 100% realistic

Story #12
>Dispatched to explosion
>Reporting party said 2 males are injured
>Call is about 20 miles away
>respond lights and sirens
>Local fire department units are on scene
>Two patients are burned all over the front of their body
>Both have signed hair all over their whole body and sloughing skin on the fronts as well as blistering
>Both patients have serious skin sloughing on their fingers and airway burns
>Both get intubated and given pain meds
>First patient refused and threatened to sue us if we gave him an IV or put a tube in his throat
>Still did both and loaded them both into separate helos while the engines were still running
>They tried telling us that they were smoking and some kids came up wanting to smoke and threw something in the fire pit that exploded
>A few days after local ATF and State Patrol Bomb Squad units raid their home and find multiple explosive devices

Do you need some sort of training or sumthin? I'm in a rough patch right now and might be interested in trying your kind of job

I hope you're not serious.

>me and the dude I was with radio back to out dispatch saying that we are going to go inside and secure the building
>dispatch radios back and says only the storage area intrusion alarm is going off, so we know that they are in 2 sides of the building
>we enter the first storage area, we see a black shadow run across to the other storage depot area
>we shout telling the shadow to stop
>the shadow continues to run inside the next storage area
>I give chase towards to shadow and catch up to him very quick
>i corner 2 black males at a storage container
The place is literally a giant indoor storage area the walls are lined with private locked units
>one of the males tells the other one, "oh shit man the cops are here"
>I then draw my weapon on them and order them to get on their knees with their hands up
>the black male I was chasing ends up following my commands
>the second black male refuses to follow my commands, he is faced away from me with his hands in his pockets
>I give the male serveral commands to follow my orders
>I then tell the other dude I was with to draw his taser and prepare to take him down forcefully
>the kid then faces towards me and puts his hands deeper in his pocket
>he then pulls out what appeared to be a a dark metal object from his waistband
>I fire 5 consecutive shots at his torso
>he falls to the ground like a ton of bricks
>the other black male starts crying yelling, " you shot my brother" x8
>I go up the the male I shot, he is wheezing and coughing, I secure what was now a phone with a clip band
>I radio to dispatch saying we need medical and police here ASAP for a shot male
>I preform emergency treatments, trying to stop the blood
>other dude cuffs the black male, who is now know to be only 12 years old
>after 5 minutes homeland security arrives and we administer further first aid to the male, we put a chest seal on the kid and wrap up his wounds the best we could
CONT.

Cool story user, keep it coming.

Sweet thread, i always wished we had an ems board on here.

>EMT working at a private transport company.
>Show up for a CCT transport to a stupid doctors appointment from a SNF.
>Patient is legit vegetable, but a massive one, so what...like a squash? Sure. Patient was a squash.
>Squash is on a vent via trach, CCTRN doing their thing chattin up the RT while we package up the produce.
>Get squash swapped to our vent and sheeted over to the stretcher.
>Everything so far is going smooth.
>Hangin out in the hallway while CCTRN gets more paperwork
>Glance at patient for a minute standing stretcher-side.
>"uh hey guys, her lips are blue"
>well shit.
>Squash decides to code right there.
>Scramble to get Squash back to bed so we can do more effective CPR while simultaneously getting medics enroute.
>Jump on compressions while RN manages airway.
>Glance up to see my partner standing in the hallway like a deer in headlights.
>Give him that look like "are you gonna fucking do anything?"
>Partner is lost in fuckery land.
>We do a solid few rounds before medics on scene.
>Medics work around us administering meds and doing their advanced fuckery.
>Manage to get ROSC back from asystole right as base is just about to pronounce.
>Medics take over, package, and dip out.
>And that was the day I prolonged a full code vegetable's terrible existence because their family didnt have the heart to make them a DNR.
>Neato.

Not a whole lot of crazy traumas in small private transport, but we get our fair share of medical and psychiatric emergencies. Psych calls are the most lulz you can ever have. Literally ever.

Good for you man. You're a much better person than most of the retards on this site.

>"yea man taser this guy if he don't respect my authority"
>shot him 5 times

Also....
>12 years old
H-huh? the hell are they feeding niggers!?

is that a Saturn?

>Live in rural community.
>Respond from home on a 48 hour roster. Vehicle is similar to picture, not the exact same one though.
>Chillin with girlfriend. Went to take her home, have to take the car in case of job.
>Just pulled out of driveway and job comes in.
>Pager goes mental, MDT flashes it's horrible red.
>Dispatched to a "vehicle accident".
>Haul ass, gf freaking out.
>Get to job, car sitting in ditch. Obvious body in the car. People just hanging back looking.
>Approach car, body leaning against seat, the pillar between the doors had been cut. (imagine the spot between the front drivers door and the rear passenger door if both windows has been wound down had had an axe put through it)
>Body has no head.
>Head in the ditch about 10 meters away.

This dude had tied some fencing wire to the spot between the two windows, tied the other end around a tree and then looped it over his head and floored it. Sliced his head clean off and ripped the wire through the pillar.
Apparently his wife left him.

The part circled in red is where he tied the wire.

I have a lot of training.
I have:
>3 FEMA Certifications regarding incident command, really simple stuff online
>4 State Certifications that are internationally accredited for firefighting, and hazmat this was about 5 months of academy
>EMT Basic Certification (4-5 month course here) which is good nationally as well as local protocol endorsements allowing me to obtain IV access and IO access with additional training and different continuing education requirements to maintain my cert.
>Wildland Firefighting Cert which was a week or so to get
>Plus classes and other training such as extrication training classes where we cut cars all day for days straight in all sorts of scenarios
>continuing fire training requirements every month as well

Know what you are getting into. This job is competitive and is not for the faint of heart of for pussies. You will be forced to make life and death decisions and be held responsible for any thing that goes wrong as well as assume the risk of lawsuit when treating patients You may be summoned to court to testify for cases and must be a character in good standing and have integrity because you are a highly trusted professional. You will see, do, smell, feel and experience things that most never get to see or never would think of in their worst nightmares. PTSD is a real risk you run too due to the exposure to constant trauma and tragedy. I wake up with night sweats every night at work and flashbacks to old calls a lot. This job will change who you are. Go ride a long until you see the highs and lows and then decide. You wont know until you're in the shit.

That's just sad, she'll be fucked up for a while because some retard doesn't know when to pass.

Thanks for the work user

She was pronounced dead on scene

>skull smashed in
>oh he wants to puke... ok boys we have a head injury here

Dude, take a full size asprin daily and quit smoking. Also eat a can of sardines daily. Chicken of the Sea are the least gross.

Fastforward 3 minutes
>city police arrive along with a sprint EMS truck
>the EMTs basically tell us that this kid is dead and won't make it to the hospital
I had put 3 rounds in both lungs and 2 just near to his heart
>the other kid was completely frantic saying that we murdered his brother and just started yelling
Fastforward 10 minutes there are about 13 different police officers on the scene,
>I get asked a bunch of questions from the officers and all the standard shooting involvement stuff
>I was literally shaking out of my body, I couldn't keep still, one of the senior officers came up to me and offered me a cigarette
>he told me, "user, I know you made a tough decision, and I know you didn't want to shoot him. You made the right call and we are all here to support you"
>a gang detective arrives and tell me that this kid was wanted for felony attempted murder
>all the responding officers congratulated me saying I did a good job getting rid of this scum.
>I'm just shocked with all he support I'm getting, this has never happened to me.
Fastforward a week
>I get cleared of any wrong doing, there was a security camera which caught everything on camera
>I get placed back on duty 3 weeks after it happened and continue my same route

I couldn't sleep for the next 4 days after I had shot the kid, I went from remorse to anger, I was a complete mess and I still remember the smell of the gun powder in the air and the kids eyes and I shot him.

I have complete respect for a law enforcement officer who has to fire on someone. It definitely wasn't an easy choice to make

Wait, with the intent of suicide. can you shoot yourself in the head with something other than a firearm?

My bad, that's fucked up

Thanks user, but it's only due to me having a decent education which involved CPR as one of the monthly 'activities' at secondary school. Speaking of which, the dummies they use to train are remarkably similar to how it feels when actually performing CPR.

Anyway yeah, from what I've heard, like 75% of people won't do CPR because of fear or panic but thank fuck for the NHS and the professionals who man the phones on emergency calls.

Keep these stories coming guys.

We have had people do it with pellet guns, nail guns etc

made me shiver

thats intense dude, respect

No it's Uranus.

Guy in Dallas did something similar not long ago

Story #13

>Dispatched to CPR in progress about 12 miles away
>Reporting Party states his 15 year old son was found face down, not breathing and has no pulse, CPR is in progress
>Says special needs son was last seen an hour ago when he went to nap and found him facedown in bed
>Work the kid and get him intubated, get an IO or IV, whatever we got, and start pushing drugs
>I go back of forth between bagging and compressions
>Dad is freaking out screaming and throwing things in the other room yelling for his son not die and saying all sorts of things
>Yells at us when we attempt to stop CPR for a pulse/rhythm check
>I am doing CPR when a shitload of blood starts coming out his airway

>Pronounce kid dead, died of positional asphyxia after having a seizure

Dude, you shot a kid. Why didnt you taser him?

Your story is bollocks. Yeah I know what and why shit happens. Im sorry to hear all that but give me a break man. You couldn't even aim under the waist?

You fucking pussy. Sorry not sorry, I'm sure scummy motherfuckers dont deserve much but you deserve a kick to the teeth. Hopefully your guilt for BEING A FUCKING PUSSY makes you doubt your existence.

Fuck this made me want to throw up, I swear people like that are pieces of shit man. At least let people who are still living not deal with your bullshit

Oh fuck, what do Satan trips imply here?

I had sepsis once this story is fucking crazy

>hurr BLACK LIVES MATTER
>FUCK THA WHITEY POLEEESE
>WE WUZ KANGZ AN SHIET NIGGUH

do the world a favor and kys

Yes

What did the kid do to the man? There has to be a logical explanation to make a guy stab and shit on his kid.

>Hurr, why didn't you bullet time shoot him in the hand?

You're fucking retarded. Armed responders are trained to "shoot to stop". Shooting to wound is hollywood garbage that is more likely to get you sued into oblivion than anything.

Also, he capped a nignog. Fuck off Jamarcus.

Listen here you limp dick fuck. I've been doing security operations and LE work for the past 7 years, including overseas. We are taught, trained, and ingrained to shot center mass of our targets we see. It's called neutralizing the threat. Yeah, it doesn't make up for the 5 shots but stressed induced shootings can do that. Something you don't understand and another reason he was let go. Try being in our shoes one day and see what it's like. You never go back from it.. ever.

Tell moar

That's why you were shaking like a faggot?
Over a month of recovery.
You killer, you.

Fucking pansy.

And no, I don't sympathize with crooks and thugs and I am not on their side. I am only laughing at your coward shit. You fucking lesbian go fuck yourself.

who's the pussy?

I have never seen such a faggot

Bad bait is bad

Im familiar with this type shit too man. ER scribe here got several stories too, not going to steal your thunder.

probably saddest one i have was christmas 16. the EMTs brought a kid into our peds center for ingestion after he drank around a cup of bleach.

we asked him why and he said he wanted to "go spend christmas with dad"

his dad had died 2 weeks prior from a motor vehicle collision. the kid was 9. Fucked me up.

But yeah mad respect to the EMTs you all are the realest.
