production's great, i'd say the vocal delivery needs some work but it's pretty good overall

was unsure at first but it turned out pretty great

i had some extra bass parts that i ended up scrapping because they did nothing but blow out the low end and sound like shit (regardless of mixing), plus i didn't want to get caught up in the XXXTentacle knockoff wave of bass boosted sounds.

i feel that way too, only thing is i'm not quite sure how i can fill them out more without overcrowding and muddling everything together. Doesn't help that i'm still not too skilled with piano, so most of the theory behind it came from composing stuff on my guitar and then trying to copy it note for note through my MIDI controller.

compression & EQ can and will sort those issues out for you. it sounds like the chords have a lot of excess bass on them that you can roll off with a highpass filter, then you can afford to push them louder without muddying your mix

I use the Pokemon Black & White 2 Soundfont, and on this laptop I use FL but on my rig I use Finale 2014.5 and Cubase
