I dare any of you "patricians" to make a list.

Malkmus said himself that there was less insecurity and more free flow on S and E. I feel the same way. Crooked Rain is much too accessible on purpose.

If anyone wants write ups on any album I'd be down to give my shitty fantano esque opinion.

this is shameful

no I will not share my top albums so you can ape my taste loser

> thousands of albums in existence
> new stuff comes out every single day
> will never hear everything
> it's all the same entry level indie shit that everyone has heard in your top 200
honestly pretty sad

I've read through it, OP. These are all great albums but there's nothing unique or original on this list. It's like saying your favorite movies are Citizen Kane, Pulp Fiction and The Godfather. It does not reflect on your true personality in my opinion. Just listen to more music and you'll realise what's the stuff you really like.

this

Tell me, based on my list what exactly would you suggest for me to break free of my plebness.

I've listened to most of your guys uber underground albums and they're usually just weaker sounding versions of the same genres that I like. I have many of these albums but none of them made the list.

I think you took the Sup Forumscore and p4k-core way too seriously. All of this screams "flannel, beard, thick rimmed glasses, a bad vinyl setup and a music blog."

Also, needs way more bleeps imo.

If you haven't already,

Steve Reich
Steve Roach
Autechre, chronologically
Venetian Snares
Residents

I love the Residents. But haven't heard the others.

And I can't deny that I don't like bleeps music. Also I dress like a lazy person not someone trying to fit in.

check out record labels and read books on genres and stay away from Sup Forums and r/indieheads

Denovali Records
Art as Cartharsis
Graveface records

>not a single non-english album
holy fuck this board is so shit

Can you write that again but this time without a triple negative

Can is on there.

Also I like Long Season but not enough to make the list.

I dislike music with "bleeps." But I sort of enjoy Boards of Canada.

>no hip hop

I understand when people don't think hop hop/rap is as fully fleshed as other genres but:

Nas-Illmatic
Kendrick-GKMC
Kendrick-TPAB
ATTQ-The Low end theory
Death grips of any type

You have a personal bias against rap that makes your list invalid.

yeah that's a fuckin gay as shit list op. I could bet hundreds of English sterling that you are below the age of 21

deff 16

pretty good taste for the most part. personally, i could never rank my favorite albums in any particular order so i give you props for the effort.

fuck off, we are talking about music over here

I'll list 25 and they're a little out of order

1. TMGE - Literally any of their first 4 albums

4. John Coltrane - A Love Surpreme
5. Kendrick - TPAB

22. Naked City - S/T
23. QOTSA - S/T
24. PW Long's Reelfoot - We Didn't See You On Sunday
25. Jesus Lizard - LIAR
How's my taste? Pretty shit, not a lot of variety

i'll give a top 25 that's better

1. Stunt Rock - Regret™ Instruction Manual Issue Two: Letting Go Versus Holding On
2. Kanye West - College Dropout

Shut the fuck up

bump

hey op i respect your taste and the fact that you've gone to this much effort to compile and rank your favorite records! who cares if you haven't bogged down your list with esoteric bullshit to impress Sup Forums so long as you're real with yourself about what you like

I enjoy rap and hip hop but not nearly to the degree that I like these albums. I feel the same about Classical and Jazz.

Beat Happening and a bunch of rap. Damn your taste must be good.

yeah, its almost like 16 of the albums aren't rap or beat happening. could have just commented "my music taste is too narrow to know most of those artists lol"

Oh I wanted criticism. How else am I gonna find the best albums out there.

Just turned 21. Its less common to like older music than for dads who heard it on the radio.

Fine What do you recommend from your list based on my pleb taste.

>Rubber Soul at 12
Nigga that isn't even the best Beatles album, let alone the 12th best album ever

Definitely best Beatles album.

Few albums have such consistent quality with a perfect touch of their pop sound and the experimentation to come without all the later albums psychedlic indulgence.

In My Life
Noweigan Wood
Nowhere Man
Dry My Car
You Won't See Me

All 9-10/10 songs

I recommend you listen to the top album on there, "Stunt Rock - Regret™ Instruction Manual Issue Two: Letting Go Versus Holding On".

Best thing I can compare it to is if The Books made a cohesive album that was based around depression. although The Books are shit compared to Stunt Rock so maybe not the best comparison but idk what else to compare it to.

I had to leave out Faust, The Residents, Frank Zappa, Foetus. So many good artists.

And I removed and then readded Animal Collective like 5 times.

personal biases are an important part of having a personality

>antigravitybunny.com

Holy shit. Not OP but thanks for posting this!

>Station to Station first

checks out. good job op.

>I'll make a top 200 list
>btw I've only heard like 2k albums ever so essentially this worhtless list is 10% of all the albums I've ever even heard

What's the point of making a list and pretending you have unique taste before regurgitating 200 Sup Forumscore albums back at us you fucking retard OP
