>she leaves, i notice the windshield is foggy af but dont pay attention
>heading home through a Dark street, windshield still foggy
>BAM

>realize i just crashed my car against another parked car in the street in front of a house
>panic like fuck, try to drive away
>Car wont move, front wheel broken
>Panic intensifies, call parents
>Parents come running, they just ask if im Hurt
>"No i was driving at like 30km/h"
>Car that wont move in the middle of a street at 4 am
>somehow, no nearby houses noticed anything
>Call insurance
>"Sorry, your insurance doesnt cover towing"
>Wellshiet.png
>Mom remembers neighbour Who owns a tow truck
>Wake up neighbour, get the tow
>Meanwhile, ring the doorbell of the car owner
>Guy in his 30's opens the door, dad gives contact info and apologizes
>Car gets towed, go back home with parents, somehow they're not even mad at me
>Heavy guilt and Feel like useless shit, cry like a bitch
>Go to bed and post it on Sup Forums

So, how much of a beta faggot am i, Sup Forums?

It' happens. Just man up and tell them you'll be more careful next time, if they even let you drive the car. Should've turned on the defoggers right away, or open a window to stabilize the temps between the inside/outside of the vehicle.

You're a colossal faggot for not just using your defroster.

Shit happens dude. Don't feel so bad. It's why we have insurance in the first place

>in car
>talked with her for about 2 hours
faggot

Wow, you're pathetic. Are you 12? If this is the most trauma you've had you are in for a world of hurt. Also the fact you tried to flea makes you a worthless piece of shit.

First of dude she talked 2 hrs with you??? Come on she wants the D.

Second, shit happens.

Your fine dude, shit happens, you might have disappointed your parents a little, but they were young, did stupid shit too, they get it.

First, CHECK `EM
Second, how old are you? I mean, shit like that and even more will eventually happen to you - such is life, Sup Forumsro.
At least it was not a DUI, police arrest or any other stupid shit like that. Try to help your parents with the repair payments and get back on that horse - go balls deep in that bitch you talked to for 2 hours

Couldnt agree more, hence im feeling so guilty. Trying to run away from my problems makes me despicable

For fuck sakes. Since when has Sup Forums become a support group for faggots.

>somehow they're not even mad at me

Because (from their perspective, since they didn't see you try first to drive away) you did the right thing: call them and see about a tow and presumably not bitch or wig out about talking to the car owner and apologizing. And when they saw you you weren't partying with friends, you weren't intoxicated, and you weren't too tired to move. At that point rational parents would say to themselves, "We need to encourage this response when he's in an accident and discourage the alternative -- him *not* calling us."

Thank you so much for the support, i know im a whining twat, but the fact that i tried to run in the first place makes me hate my guts. Ill try to be a better person from now on

the only reason i didn't cry at my first accident was because my buddy was there.

This is gonna suck for you for the next few years. (insurance and stuff) but you'll learn that its only things and doesn't matter. After about a week or so you'll be over it. But after like a month you'll be hit with that ramifications, like how much this is all gonna cost.

30 km/h is not very fast, right? im in the US so i don't know this shit.

Sage

And also they both would have crashed their car like that once when they were your age. The easiest reason for young drivers to crash is some form of obstructed vision, since they don't often know how obstructive say even a little fog can be.

...

About 19-20 mph
I already told my parents i want to pay for all the costs, even so doesnt change my shitty atitude

exactly

>derp can't see
>keep on driving
>accident lol
>its why we have insurance

no faggots. if you can't see you don't drive until you can see. imagine if the accident were fatal - no insurance for that.

the apologists in this thread are so fucking retarded it boggles the mind, i can't believe i have to share the road with you.

I could literally have just wiped it with my arm... But no..

>im in the US so i don't know this shit.

Dude, if you've been to high school and had to run the mile.... *Sigh*.

All right, a standard track is 400m, right? 4 laps is a mile, so that's 1600m in a mile, or 1.6km. So you can do 30/1.6, or just remember 0.62 miles in a km (or ~0.6), so 30*0.6 = 18 mph

awe you have a family to help you out what a hard life, fuck off

dude, calm down. its fine, happens
speak with your Parents
say them how sorry you are
and how gratefull you are that they react so calm
you will feel better, and they will as well

Google is your friend

>be me
>lives abroad
>father back home is poor, sometimes cant afford even to buy heart medicine
>i make almost no Money
>frineds invite me to a Casino to play Poker
>ok 20 € i can spend
>stay till 3 am
>loose that night 100 €
>feel like the biggest shit on Earth

You're pretty stupid man, how the fuck do you hit a parked car?

What kind of idiot drives around if he can't see out his windshield.

I hope your insurance goes up like a motherfucker.

I swear you should need to take a common sense test to be allowed to drive.

>imagine if the accident were fatal - no insurance for that.

Luckily most of these types of novice accidents, like obstructed vision and blind spot and traffic light timing shit, are very low-speed and so almost never cause injury of any severity. It's when kids (or anyone) do stupid and/or illegal shit like driving intoxicated or with rowdy friends and blasting music distracting from the road or speeding and weaving, and particularly on an uncrowded highway or while off-guard on an empty back road, that shit gets fatal.

My two accidents in a car in high school were both at 3 mph, both obstructed view, and I am being 100% literally serious. They also caused ridiculous damage to the other vehicle because I hit them in the side which crushed all the panels.

Oh man.. gotta love summerfags even earlier

You're just stupid for not defrosting. Won't make that mistake again now will you?

Another fucking idiot who never should have been given a license.

I think you should legally be allowed to a kill a person who put your life in danger with their car.

>Casino to play Poker

You mean blackjack? I know there's some casino "poker" games that have no bluff or skill or anything, but the odds are horrible.

Anyway, are you under 25? If so that can almost be excused as a young and dumb mistake that happens once and never again -- you know now that you are vulnerable to not sticking to your pre-arranged gambling limit.

If you're older and/or you've made that mistake before, well then fool you twice...

Stupid shit like this is basically a rite of passage. This will make you a better driver as you sure as FUCK will never drive with a foggy windshield or poor visibility again.

You've never once had a car accident of any sort? No fender bender? Never hit a bumper? Never dinged a car parking? Never accidentally rolled onto some private-property grass when pulling out of somewhere?

OP after crash

I have a similar story my man
>be me, just got license & a car
>ex calls & wants to bang
>gets in car realizing there's a parked car behind me
>"easy"
>ends up backing out under a huge rock causing my front bumper to get stuck & rip right off
>panicking trying to fix it
>realizes the bumper is half way off, barely drivable & mom comes home soon
>successfully falling bumper from mom
>goes out next day & comes home crying saying I got into a wreck
>calls insurance
>get a new bumper in a matter of a week
>goes

*hides

Yikes I didn't grammar check my post my apologies

the next time an event like this happens, you will subconsciously remember the shame associated with trying to flee, and you will stay and own your actions. this was a learning experience. 21 is still young. you'll be fine.

Misjudging a parking spot and putting a scratch on a bumper is a little different than

>My two accidents in a car in high school were both at 3 mph, both obstructed view, and I am being 100% literally serious. They also caused ridiculous damage to the other vehicle because I hit them in the side which crushed all the panels.

Driving when you can not see where you are going is criminal negligence.

ok so
>when kids (or anyone) do stupid and/or illegal shit like driving intoxicated or with rowdy friends and blasting music distracting from the road or speeding and weaving, and particularly on an uncrowded highway or while off-guard on an empty back road
and you have
>obstructed vision
that makes it more likely for
>shit gets fatal
because you can't see to avoid it

not being able to see and continuing to drive is inexcusable. just pull over and sort that shit out. once i took off one of my socks to wipe the windscreen - no accidents here, 17 yrs of driving.
