What state are you in that nurses make decent money? In the midwest here, they barely make above minimum wage, people think the health services should be a calling from God and don't pay then shit, it's awful.

I can't argue with that. I'm glad a picked a career valued by this state.

Software Developer

It's not $800/ day or a salaried position. I only get paid for what I "bill" for the firm each day. I also do indigent defense for juvenile court and paid $500 per client. That's easy money for me, and most of the time I'll make that $500 for doing like 30 min of work. A lot of lawyers complain about their work but I'm here to tell you, it's a license to fucking print money.

Artist, I make 80 dollars per hour.
Don't get excited, my average yearly income
Is only 35,000 dollars U.S.
I'm still poverty level
Truly a starving artist.

You poor cunt. Must have been hard getting into ED training. Go find a corner, you and your shitty 200K per year job.

Did you not match this year or something, brah? I hear it's getting hella tough to get in.

>200k per year job
Maybe if I only work 2 shifts a week.

Texas isn't the midwest, Texas is Texas. They're basically their own fucked up nation in terms of economy.

Where I'm from only dropkicks do ED. No 'match' only a 'yeh sure, you can't get into anything else'
Lowest paid specialty in the hospital setting. Yeh go figure.

Texas has a great economy you retard

That's crazy? Where is that, if you don't mind me asking? In the good old U.S.A, EM pays solidly better than most specialties on a per hour basis. Full time shift work is only like 32-36 hours per week. Nights and holidays suck, but you don't have to take your work home with you. One of the fastest growing in popularity among med studs here.

19

So he doesn't age, or he lies about his age? He's been 37 for fucking years.

Also, how boring is his life to have to post this at the same time everyday?

Pay is definitely great for EM in the states. Respect is slowly coming around - some old docs have prejudices from back in the day when shitty internists ran EDs. Now especially in academic centers EM is its own department, puts out its own research, etc.

17.10$/hour
Just done my education.

Here's hoping it swings in that direction here at home. My SO will do ED training next year, I'm trying to convince her otherwise.

underrated

It's good honest work. In the U.S. it took some pioneers in the 70s and 80s to elevate EM into the specialty that it is today. If she decides she's ready to take the plunge, I hope she helps build it into something respectable on your island!
