As for me, I like the idea of cloud rap, the vaporwave aesthetics, and even this new wave of really aggressive trap rappers, but I haven't came across a rapper actually worthy. There's Bones who can't produce his own tracks and his lyrics are terrible and uninspired. There's this xxxtentacion who has some potential but absolutely no quality control, and those few tracks I consider listenable aren't longer than 2 minutes. So it's a shame.
I would say cloud rap is the new nu metal
