Say yes to every opportunity. (Within reason of your personal morals)

have you tried holding down a job?

I do not really have personal morals. Sometimes I dream wondering around the world away from the modern construct of society.

i have had 5 jobs over the last 2 years and they all last 2weeks before I walk out

Great. Look into the psychology of happness, and how to become of good mental health.
This will enable you to do more, well feel you can do more, which is what is mostly holding you back.

Look up mindfulness and practice it if you can.

Want more?

What makes you walk out?

I have tried mindfulness it works but it hard to make a habit of.

Are those books?

Switch to water only for beverages, try to eat healthy or at least get some greens and fruits in, and go for a walk / jog every day, 20-30 minutes and ideally in the morning in the sunlight. Something to increase your heart rate a little.

There's a bunch of books on mindfulness. My psychologist gave me one awhile back and i thought it was pretty good.

try killing yourself

you should take at least 23 days of continually doing something to make it a habit. Consistancy is good.
So is trying and trying again. Obviously not doing the same thing if you fail, but learning what you did that didn't work out, being practical and as much of a go getter as realistically possible.

Have you tried couselling for your depression?

Try nofap

they are concepts. In future, if there's anything you don't feel you know, literally google it.
8.5 time out of 10 it will tell you straight away.

Understanding yourself better and the world around you can be key to improving mental and emotional health, hell, even physical health too.

Any questions?

>use internet and YouTube to learn how to form better habits
>identify habits that will help you

OP Listen to this user.
Now, I know with depression is can be very difficult to figure out how to improve.
I suggest you try a variety of things, google the question, read wikihow articles that you think are useful to you, and a therapist may not hurt for this either

Almost forgot the last physical part: get your sleep on a normal pattern. And you do need the sun, so no night-owling.

Now for the mental part:

When you feel yourself start to go down one of your depressive rabbit-holes / mood swings starting, acknowledge it and interrupt it. That's not the same as stopping what your feeling, it's just being aware of what your mind is doing.

If you feel like an extra challenge then write three positive things about yourself before bed.

That's all for now. Baby steps.

You're stronger than you think. You can overcome this in time. It's like building muscle.

Look into cognitive behavioral therapy. I'm 30 and I was depressed for 16-17 years, over half my life. It helped.

It's possible to climb out of the hole.

Join the army become a cop.

What about staying positive in situations you can't change, or not giving up on goals you set?

staying positive in situations you can't change, comes with being realistic about what you can and cannot do.
If you cannot affect the outcome - don't worry about it - it's beyond your control. Not everything that happens is your fault.

I fail goals I set myself plenty, but I don't give up. Again, being realistic about what you can achieve, being specific enough with that you're trying to do, and having a way of measuring your progress help a lot here.
Often, I have set myself tasks that were quite vague. Then I don't really feel up to doing them cos I haven't got a way of figuring out for sure when I've accomplished it.

Anything else?

Come out to rural america. Help out different farms and do odd jobs or start a small business. Be polite. Work hard. You won't be rich but it's a living, and its peaceful out here.

faggot

Do you have Kik? I'll chat with you im 21 in a similar kinda situation

How good are you with women? Everytime I fail with a girl, it's hard for me to pinpoint what I did wrong. How do I learn how to get better, just trail and error?

I've had some girlfriends, settled for the last one and been with her 3 years now.
I sometimes feel like I compromised with her instead of continually searching for someone who was better.
Of course, one can always keep on looking forever.

You acquire value, through gaining skills, confidence, resources, etc and make yourself worth having. Not hating yourself and gradually coming to respect yourself is a big part of that.

Stephan in this vid puts it very well.

Getting into exercise, developing a body that you yourself are actually proud of, and generally becoming the best version of yourself you can possibly become is good too.

In the vid I've added in this post, most of the advice is said by around 15 minutes in, but I encourage you to watch all of it.

In the meantime, bump the thread! No one here can help you if this 404s

bumpity

Lol, fuck off with this gay Facebook shit

Thanks a lot bud

Practice socialising, try to improve a bit continually. make it as much a regular thing as you can so long as it does not significantly intefer with the recovery and then strengthening and improvement of your mental health.

Friends are good for that.
Don't expect to get all these things right away, or even be able to.
- you cannot climb a mountain in one MASSIVE step, no. One foot in front of the other, one step at a time. That's how you get decent progress. By keeping on going, at the pace you're most capable of.

Psychedelics. Listen to Terence Mckenna and Alan Watts. Enjoy your time here.

No worries. Anything else? Any other questions?

I know mate but the thread was gonna 404 so I just spammed images from the folder I had closest to hand

go to the gym, set a goal, get strong

Another thing OP - everything is going to cost effort. This is likely to seem very scary, especially to someone with depression atm. But the more effort you put in, along with all the other advice, the more used to putting effort in you will get, and the more you will be prepared to put into anything.

Have you tried dick?

OP I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you copy everything in this thread and paste it into a text document or save everything said here in some way.
You can refer back to it in future.
Don't lose hope, learn to be patient, keep putting effort in, be realistic, etc.
Good luck.

I usually only lurk on here, if I come here at all, which isn't that often anymore, so we probably won't meet again.
I wish you all the best.

One way ticket to the east my friend. Not a tourist but a settler of sorts. Avoid mainland-Chinese backed countries adopting communism. Avoid the worse parts of middle East. Have fun, and thank me. I traveled to the Philippians for some 4 years at 19. Best decision of my life.
