The tape I made of me and your mom last night.

>he fell for the 4k meme
good goyim, buy what we tell you to buy...
yes yes excellent work goy...

Amazing Spiderman 2

>this pleb can't afford a $7000 4k HDR UHD OLED TV

lmao, fucking laughing at your life right now

>using the internet
>not a goy

epic

Why? It won't be standard for years. Hell, most broadcast is still 720p. There's some 4k porn, but that's about it

Because my 42" Plasma is on its last legs. Might as well get something decent to replace it, so I'm getting the Samsung 55" KS7005

FRIENDS reruns

The NFL just got finished about 6 years ago upgrading all of their broadcast equipment to high definition on all the networks. Do you think they are going to spend billions of dollars again any time soon? Is CBS going to replace all their HD equipment any time in the next ten years?

>I'm a richfag, so I'm entitled to buy useless shit rather than be smart and invest my money

upscaled VHS tapes

>sports

Hahahahahaha

Who the fuck cares about sports

You made the mistake of getting a tv and not a pc monitor.

You get so much more out of it for your pc.

Sooner or later you're gonna have to use that money

Get the new xbone, and then get Deadpool because it looks well in 4K.

Who the fuck cares about tv in the first place. I'd rather play pokemon

>he fell for the amazing spidermeme

Currently no actual 4K content is available. Most is just upscaled 2K.

We're past the point of diminishing returns.

Monitors are shit for movies unless they have built in filters. Also where the fuck do you find a monitor big enough to do a movie justice?

Philips have 40+ inch monitors.

You can do your own filters with many video players.

>It won't be standard for years
well, it's becoming one

oooooh wow....7 movies!!!!

>physical copies
Ya almost had me

dumb faggot

4K TV is not a meme

4K monitors are memes

BBC Nature documentaries

They make real life look like great CGI

Japan and South Korea have started broadcasting in 8k

4k is already dying before is started in the two countries that lead the world in HD.

you my friend have just been raped.

Not one good movie

>We're past the point of diminishing returns.
It really depends on the movie, some look almost the same and others look significantly better.

Dracula in 4k is a good example that takes advantage of 4k.
Here is a comparison:

caps-a-holic.com/c.php?go=1&a=0&d1=6851&d2=6626&s1=64721&s2=62444&i=4&l=1

like i give a shit about gook tv

Can you even buy an 8k TV?

the US barely broadcasts in 1080p

>7000 $ means youre rich

Where the fuck you live? Here it's like an entry level salary for teens.

They are gonna place stations around the country with screens able to show 8K.

PS4 playing games in 4k. so good.

$7000 expendable income dipshit

Would someone spend a year's salary on a TV?

What TV did you get user?

>Year's salary

It's 8200/month for salesclerk at Farm Boy

Samsung 55" KS7005

the revenant
interstellar

Nope. And the neo will only be able to play 4k Blu-rays, not games

wat. source?

>8200/month
8200 what? Jelly beans?

You can't even find 1080p or 720p tvs that aren't complete garbage nowadays, talking about being able to handle motion etc etc. It's seriously kind of shady that all the best TV's right now are 4k when you can't even stream 4k content without a quality internet connection, which is pretty much a crap shoot since there's a lot of locations with bad infrastructure or just a lack of quality bandwith, plus you can't even get true 4k content from a cable box.

The entire internet. At best, it will upscale games to 4k

Cool,are you in europe?

I plan on getting a new tv when I get the money, was looking at the ks8000 and a few others though

What's stopping new games using 4k?

The regular ps4

>wanting to see the gooks plastic doll faces in 8k
I'll pass.

AMD hardware

Why? The games can just play in regular 1080p on those.

That's not how consoles work

>the only thing in 4K is porn

I'm okay with this

There's nothing stopping them working this way. New games just detect which kind of ps4 they are running on. If it's an old one, run the game in 1080p mode. If it's a new one, 4k mode. Easy.

For these 2016 Olympics Japan (I think) will have six places that people can go to watch. I remember reading a pdf about it. Only the opening and closing ceremonies and a couple of the athletic (swimming too?) events will be live. Everything else that's broadcasted is recorded (just judo, men's basketball, swimming, and the men's soccer final iirc). People also have to reserve seats to watch the opening ceremony. It's basically in a pre-alpha stage atm to get ready for the 2020 Olympics.

Still pretty cool though, one of the screens is like 500 in.

>tfw no women's gymnastics in 8K

By 2020 8k will be the standard, enjoy your toaster for while you you can cuck.

Yeah. I wouldn't really get the KS8000 unless you really want a twin tuner. The increase in picture quality is negligible at best compared to the cheaper KS7000

PLEB TIER
>DVD
>Blu Ray

CONTRARIAN TIER
>HD DVD
>4K

PATRICIAN TIER
>VHS
>Laserdisc

8200 dimes?

That would put him at 82,000/month you retard.

...

There are a few movies that were filmed on 35mm or shot above 4K digitally that got a 4K digital intermediate that are on 4K bluray disc right now. Deadpool and The Revenant look amazing. I can't comment on the quality of 4K streaming (like movies on Amazon or shows on Netflix).

>look mom I'm pretending to be retarded on the internet

haha!

I honestly havent seen the picture quality on either, just been reading reviews but thanks. We have 3 months to mess with TV's before we have to keep them here in the states, so I might check out that 7000

True 1080p blu ray is still legit imo

I still remember the first time I saw true 1080p, it's a lot better than regular dvd's. If my 1080p didn't have a bunch of shadows burnt all over it I'd be fine without 4k

1080p blurays can look fucking great even upscaled to 4K with one of those 4K bluray players. I've watched The Thin Red Line, The Dark Knight, PJ's King Kong, and Interstellar on a 4K TV and they looked great, especially the IMAX scenes in TDK and Interstellar. There was a clear visual improvement.

Yeah man, first 1080p blu ray I saw was Ironman 2 and was amazed at the difference. I ddin't even know at the time, that all the DVD's I did own weren't even in 1080p
