I think any time Graham Coxon was allowed to step up to vocals Blur released one of their best songs:

A Little Help from My Friends
Say what you want about Ringo, but I actually like his voice.
First Pixies song I heard was Gigantic, definitely felt weird when I heard more of them.
Same thing happened with Beat Happening, I heard Godsend before anything else.
I wonder how many people know Martin Gore is actually the mastermind behind the band

Also love his live versions of Shake the Disease and But Not Tonight

Almost all my favourite Oasis songs are the ones with Noel

Always wished Mike Mills was given more turns as vocalist. He had a great voice.
Queen - Someday One Day
youtube.com
"Funny how the pages turn and hold us in between..."
>forgetting ALL I'M SAYIN PRETTY BABY

One of my favourite Clash songs.
+1, great song
Nah, that's legit one of my favorite Pixies songs and I was singing it this morning at work but hearing Gigantic first and then stuff like Debaser or Dig For Fire was...an interesting experience.

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Noel only ended up doing lead vocals at all was because Liam had a habit of just not showing up to gigs, or showing up and heckling from the sides, so he had to learn to fill in
Mark Lanegan is boss

>Tender
>You're So Great
>Coffee and TV
Absolutely. Blur's albums, in general, got better as Coxon gained more influence in the bands songwriting.
Also
>rednecks
How can you not 'ave a giggle with that song?
Ringo is overshadowed by everyone else in the Beatles. But he's still a fantastic singer/songwriter in his own right. Saw the All Star band about a year and a half ago, he's still got it.
>Rolling Stones
Love the songs Keith sings on.
>Weezer
When Brian steps up, the results are pretty good. Love the bridge in "El Scorcho"
>Velvet Underground
Nico has such a great voice. "I'll be your Mirror" is, imo, the best love song ever written, and she kills it.
>Foo Fighters
I'm not sure if this counts, because it's only live, and a cover, but Taylor Hawkins has done a few Queen Songs, and a Led Zeppelin Song, and he sounded really fucking good.
>TVU - After Hours

>TVU - Femme Fatale

2 of blurs best songs.
does noel really count? I mean yea liam is the main vocalist but noel has always had a large role for lead vocals.

There's other great Barlow ones, but this is his best IMO
Hello Eau Claire is nice, but hardly a stand out on that album
Caralee Xiu Xiu is definitely best Xiu Xiu though
I've always liked Dickey singing in the Allman Bros. He doesn't have Gregg's soulful voice. However his delivery is definitely honest which adds some variety.

Pavement - Kennel District
Hell yeah. In the Fade is boss.
Mark Lanegan is great, those are definitely some of the best on those albums. A Song for the Dead is also one of the best driving songs of all time.
Nirvana - Marigold
Sung by Dave Grohl and possibly kurt on drums I heard.
Too bad Joe Cocker's version is infinitely better.
Lou wrote I'll be your mirror though, Nico didn't start writing her own lyrics until The Marble Index
A couple of system of a down songs are sung by Daron. Pretty cool.
I hate Scott's voice, but it's as not bad on that one. Kannberg gets shit on in Pavement threads a lot. I think they would be better received if his voice was better.
I didn't mean to imply she wrote the lyrics, I guess that was a little broad, the way I wrote it. I was just talking about how good her voice is on that song.
Indeed. Not sure how I feel about Daron's voice. I think it's better in small doses. It's a good contrast to Serj's
WES BORLAND FROM LIMP BIZKIT,

Not sure if this really counts since Team Sleep is a 'super group', but Chino is their usual vocalist so I think it does.
Nah, it's Hugh

Debaser's probably the best Pixies song without Black Francis on vocals, but La La Love You is up there too:

I wonder if Dave Lovering is intentionally sounding like Morrissey here.
The Clash were known for this trope, although it could be argued that Mick Jones was co-frontman with Joe Strummer anyway.
Still, Paul Simonon (bassist) and Topper Headon (drummer) sang on a couple of their songs.
Simonon:

I'd agree 100%, hard to believe some people don't like it.
