Probably searching for some youtube vids of Icelanders trying to teach..

Why would you want to learn Icelandic?

>Spoken by less than half a million people
>All of them know English

why do want to learn this language? i believe the overhelming majority of people from iceland speak english. icelandic probably will disappear in a couple of years.

why the fuck would you want to move to iceland living in Australia?

Watch lazy town

>spend years of brutal effort learning Icelandic
>go to Iceland
>try to speak to a native
>they laugh and speak to you in English anyways

This, the most realistic representation of everyday life in the island. This video also.

Pretty sure either some government website or Háskóli Íslands have some online resources for foreigners.

>learning a meme language

Is Iceland in need of foreigners?

Not unless you've got some specialized training, skill or education that nobody/very few people in Iceland have.

You know reading icelandic isn't a problem but hearing it is a whole other experience, I do understand everything said(except for words that are linked to old words which isn't commonly used here)

>icelandic probably will disappear in a couple of years.

all the more reason to learn it
