Hey, everyone, 4thony chantano here: the internet's busiest music nerd, and today we'll be reviewing Bitte Orca by Dirty Projectors (guitar noise)

FAMED indie outfit Dirty Projectors *pushes up glasses* are back with another jarring and biting release following their interesting attempt at a "cover" album of Black Flag's classic 1981 record Damaged. Now as many of you may know, I wasn't the biggest fan of this experiment by frontman David Longstreth, but there's no denying the aura that seems to follow whatever the Dirty Projectors outfit puts out. Coming into this record, I was curious what direction David would take the sound in, and I must say, he's really coming into his own on this record. This album features brittle guitar, beautiful vocal harmonies, dissonant percussion, and of course, David icy vocal style, which sits nicely above the mix. Though, while we're on the subject, I must mention, the mixing on this album (starts laughing for no reason) is questionable. It's like it was recorded over a school intercom system or something. Anyway I'm feeling a decent to strong 8 on this one TRAN......SITION, have you given this album a listen? If so, did you love it, did you hate it? What would you rate it? You da bess youdabess, what should I review next? Hit DAT like, if you like, and share this review with your grandmother if she's into DP.
