I started feeling like that at 19. However I simply couldn't find the motivation to top myself so I just kept existing just to pass the time.

You may start losing the will, but don't give up the fight. 23 year old fag here. Life currently consists of setting up an intervention for my alcoholic mother on Easter, ironically enough getting people drunk for a living the days before, of, and after. A lot more fine details if anyone wants to listen in. Cont?

Your isp is now legally allowed to do whatever it wants with your internet browsing data, your government can now see all your browsing history simply by requesting your isp to hand it over. This is the only way to stop them ipanon.com
I started centuries ago when I was 14 and never got out of that mindset
Yeah dog. Why come?
youre just at a point where youre ready to switch it up. find a new job, move somewhere, take a trip, leave your family, whatever. this is the only life you get, stop wasting it waiting for shit to get good, and fucking go after it.
It's not normal, but it's common.
It's normal these days. Doesn't mean there aren't people put under conditions 400 times worse than yours every single day just pushing through the bullshit and still wanting to live, but yeah. It's normal.

This.
And it makes more sense than it looks like, because, for example, if you're struggling for your life on a daily basis, hunting or whatnot, to get through the next days, you don't really even have the time or energy to consider other aspects of life, right? Hard to develop something like anxiety or depression when your basic needs aren't even met and you have to spend so much energy trying to make it through another day.
Typically, physical maladies are common when basic needs aren't met, but just as they are and other forms of needs arise (emotional, self-realization, attachment, etc.) so too do the maladies progress from strictly physical to psychological as well.
Physical ailments were the rule in the past and are still the rule in the more underdeveloped areas of the world, where life isn't so "sure" and you can easily be snuffed out by a lot of means, including things that should've been so easy to erradicare by now like famine, but in this new technological world where leisure is much more common and people pursue more intellectual goals, psychopathologies are in full rise, which is very troubling.
I'd wager that the most healthy option for our species would be to somewhat regress technologically, make life a little less simpler, try to reach an equilibrium between the emotional/physical needs. Currently, it's out of control and people often lack the knowledge or self-discipline to reach that equilibrium.
But on with possible solutions: usually, a clear increase in various physical activities does wonders for people suffering with psychopathology. Physical pain is nowadays "healthier" and more manageable, so it's a decent alternative to psychological pain.
