>herewegoagain

we are really not okay

Frankie's lying in hell

Yoooo subway song by The Cure had me fucking shook

Fucking this

THAT moment on No One Is Ever Going to Want Me spooked me pretty good.

Jumpscares: The Album

...

They should have left the mask on him .

>we are
>really
>OH
>*glass shatters*
>AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

>ANYWAY, MUUUUUUUURDER, THEY SAY

this really spooked me the first time I heard it

>end of uneven compromise is 2 minutes of harsh noise

that's EAI or some free improv records love that shit it's like a movie

I know this band is kinda shitty but I found the song Diabolical by them fucking hilarious because they deliberately made the song quieter than the other ones on the album. So when the listener turns up the volume, at the end they just make it suddenly SUPER FUCKING LOUD and it clips and everything. They actually got complaints of broken speakers, absolute madmen
youtube.com/watch?v=EhAFS_WpvqQ

This scares the shit out of me everytime I listen to it.

Godamnit I love this album but I really hate them for this shit

Steven Stapleton is fond of these.

I would also consider the scream on Zos Kia/Coil's "rape" as a jump-scare.

THIS.

THIS IS THE FUCKING AMBIENT ALBUM I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FORE

I AM GOING TO SEARCH THE IMAGES BUT I DEMAND YOU TELL ME THE ALBUM ANYWAY NIGGER FFFFF

I HAD A PLEASANT-AS-FUCK CONVO WITH SOME RANDOM ABOUT AMBIENT MUSIC AND HE LINKES ME THIS AND IT'S GREAT AND THE ALBUM COVER IS DIRTYCOMFY FFFF ALBUM NIGGER TELL

youtube.com/watch?v=_CywZmGkDao

AH!! AH!!! AHH!!!! AH!!! AH!! AHHH AH

>If I could start again
>A million miles away
>I will keep myself
>*BWAAAAAAAAANEEEEERRREEWWWW*
I would find a way

YEEEESSS KEVIN DRUMM IMPERIAL DISTORTION I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SHIT FOR MONTHS

the white album - beatles

imperial distortions

yep, got it, many thanks though.

I just needed a hint. Happily visual search is so much better than ten years ago.

Yep, walking through my neighborhood at night while listening to it scared the shit out of me.

YouTube core

>EHH
>AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHEHHH

>album is a jump scare

i was riding my bike to school listening to that and i fell off my bike in front of a car because that scream startled me so much

ANYWAY

>music player shows the wavelength thing of each song when it plays
>lets me see where the sudden loud parts are
>tfw still get scared when I know they're coming

New fleet foxes has one on track one

Basically Foetus in general

yah beat me to it

>"You Have Lost Something, Your Life"
>The traffic noises in DNA.

>MYNAMAJEFF

this

>not seeing the gunshot coming from a mile away

Thats the two minutes that got me in to noise

First time listening to this I was laying in bed. Jumped up and turned my bedside light after hearing the screaming at the end of The Haunting Presence.

>that fucking demon growl at the beginning of Hypogirl

...

Brand New - Luca

I've always wondered why no one has EVER mentioned that

...

>AIYEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

tight and frankenstein girls are both unironically great albums

everything after that kind of sucks though

that shit fucking scared me on my first listen
I was on the edge for the entirety of The Bends after that

>the synth explosions on the first track

i miss generico :(

yeah i think this scared me shitless more than any other jumpscare in anything has

...

The transition from irresistible to sunbather

this really scared the fuck out of me

Holy fuck this every single time

The part in capitel III when the door slams. Catches you off gaurd every time

the bends gets spooky at the end too

Samurai Sword

yeah but it's not really a jumpscare

>2 minutes

Dude, it's literally less than 30 seconds. I still think it's the best use of Harsh Noise in any song ever.

the beginning or their S/T scared me the first time

>*knock knock knock*
>they won't let me out...
>*knock knock knock knock knock*
>...LET ME OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT

wait which song???

*of

>On life's highway, God with theeeeeeeee
>...
>WE NEED VICES

>It's Clipping Bitch--EEEEEAHSDSLND6;.>FASKGKKGBIPHN@)#^$(I)@#$@34'6t.@W

This is the one that literally made me jump, that immediate, sudden transition to the harshest song Brand New ever did kinda blew my mind.

>nice chime noises
>15 seconds of loud static

The part in Like Herod where everything gets increasingly softer and progressively quiet until barely anything can be heard, and then
>BUH DUH NUH NUH BWEEEEEEEEEEEEE BUH DUH NUH NUH REEEEEEEEEEEE BUH DUH NUH NUH WEEEEEEEEEERRRRRR BUH DUH NUH NUH WEEEEEEERRRRRRR

You shouldn't have told him. It's scarier when you don't know when it's gonna hit.

when the harsh drums come in at the end of part 3

yeah, you're right. i regretted posting it as soon as i did it

Heh, funnily enough, my sister got scared when she heard the beginning of part 4

jesus fucking christ, i've listened to this album dozens of times, i just never have encountered getting jumpscared by this album. I'm just curious as to what is scaring you guys

came here for this

oh wait nevermind, now i know.

That shit really made you guys jump scare?

LMFAO THIS SO FUCKING MUCH WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING

Scott Walker does this like fifty times across Tilt and The Drift and it scares the shit out of me every time

they were thinking they were gonna scare the shit out of a bunch of people and they were right

>Telepathy

Oh yeah, I remember that.

haha i remember when that album came out! nearly forgot thanks for the reminder. a great selection of b sides!

>THIS IS

I nearly shit my pants first hearing it.

The first track off punish, honey by vessel

>volume lowers from april and the phantom
>"katy's got no friends at all"
>untitled starts

listened to it in my car the first time and turned up the volume, damn near hit the brakes

>Let it shine, let it shine, let it--
>*BANG*

>But if I don't, that's all
>...
>BWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM

I give this band a pass because they knew they were shitty and were just having fun. Jimmy is a cool guy

Listening to that part going 140 at night is fucking heckers dude

Proving once again that AnCo is Random for the sake of being random: the band

wind chiiiiiimmmmmeeesss
*whatever the fuck that noise is*

these got me good

I was going to post Tilt
>that moment on The Cockfighter

The biggest jump scare in classical music is probably in the first movement of Tchaikovsky's 6th symphony.
>gradually gets softer and softer
>bassoon solo written pppppp
>...
>BAM

>the dogs at the end of Aumgn

Take your pick.

I don't know why but jumpscares are terrible in movies but great in music. WTF

End Position is full of them and it works beautifully every time and only helps build atmosphere. Whenever horror movies do it, it's shitty and annoying.

Can someone explain?

If you haven't listened to Nahvalr (another Dan project) do so sometime, I won't spoil it for you but there's a moment that made me jerk awake and spill my drink when I was on an airplane
What a perfect pleb filter, I still remember listening to it for the first time and turning my earbuds way up because I thought they weren't working properly for the first few seconds, then getting absolutely raped
I recently learned that it's supposed to be a thunder sound. If you listen closely you can kind of hear the rumbling afterwards. (I thought it was a gunshot at first)

...

I nearly pissed myself when I heard Slipping Husband for the first time
