1. that's not what Americana is
2. you have to go back

That's interesting

According to the wiki, everything he listed can fall into the idea of "americana"

if you've ever played a Bioshock game (especially Bioshock Infinite), that's basically what the aesthetic they use is.

Americana refers more to nostalgic imagery from the past, it's not really at all related to modern redneck stereotypes or anything modern at all.

>cousin fucking is normal in america

only thing i like about burger desu

>cousin

ew what the fuck man, sister is ok but cousins are fucking weird

So a mix of nostalgia and history but with a focus on physical and well-known items?

This is published by an university in Hungary, very interesting.

Yes

Yes.

its something Donald trump wants to bring back

1910s, 1930s, 1950s, 1970s
The odd years are all good, the even years suck here.

1920s economic collapse/prohibition
1940s America had to use their military
1960s hippies/vietnam/fighting communism/civil rights
1980s High interest rates, Iran/Middle east/Opec
2000s Mortgage crisis. WW3 (global war of terror

>1929 collapse ruins the entire decade
Prohibition was gay but at least we got Americana things like speakeasies from it. The 1920s would have been a fun time to be an American. The 1890s are also severely underrated.

it's like nostalgia for American things from past decades
