Floyd best albums, you can argue whichever one you like

It's a tie for me between this and Three Imaginary Boys.

true

...

yes

...

That's not kid A

>loveless isnt the best mbv album
>the bends is the best radiohead album

the bends is a shit show of boring alt rock
fuck it

mbv's objectively best album is Isnt Anything. Loveless is style-over-substance wankery. Its good but not the best MBV did.

whether kid a or the bends is best depends on when you were born

you only think its style over substance because it's more of a textural album than isnt anything. it's far more about the layers of guitar noise, the way they interact with each other and layering of vocals. the pop songs might not be as well written but they work as best as they need to.

Josh Homme's best

Tom Waits - Rain Dogs
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Metallica - Ride The Lightning
AC/DC - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
My Morning Jacket - Z
Talking Heads - Speaking In Tongues
Queen - A Night At The Opera
The Morning Benders - Talking Through Tin Cans
The Cramps - Off The Bone
Gorrilaz - Plastic Beach
Eagles - Greatest Hits lol

Yeah and?

Surprised this hasn't been posted yet

I unironically enjoy this album

but Conqueror exists
agreed

easy

Me too, obviously not his best but I like the awkward early Bowie, from the 60's - 1972 ish before he was famous and still finding his styles

How can you think this is better than Perfect From Now On?

Some like Foxtrot or Lamb better, but this is the one I keep coming back to.

That side 2, man.

tru

>album

The Cinema Show is the best Yes song they never wrote.

The bends and planet telex are probably the best two songs you could start an album with

who would agree with me on this one?

It has the Painkiller cover 10/10

Everyone knows the best MBV album is Ecstasy and Wine

Sky Blue Sky > A Ghost is Born > Being There > The Whole Love > Yankee Hotel Foxtrot > Summerteeth > Star Wars > AM >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Schmilco (seriously what the fuck was this)

>Sky Blue Sky > A Ghost is Born > Being There > The Whole Love > Yankee Hotel Foxtrot > Summerteeth > Star Wars > Wilco > AM >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Schmilco (seriously what the fuck was this)
FTFM.

Only Pablo Honey is worse

YHF is at the top baby you're all wrong

YHF was a visionary album which suffered from poor, lifeless studio performances. Those songs have a lot of potential which was only realized once Wilco updated their lineup, the addition of Nels Cline being particularly key here.
I can't help but feel the studio performances on YHF were dull and lifeless after hearing much better musicians play those songs.
Sky Blue Sky is an impeccably performed album with great songwriting and audiophile quality production. I will never buy into the idea that an album executed this well is somehow lessened by its sound being "dated." Good music is timeless.
AGIB wasn't nearly as dull or lifeless in its studio performances... I suppose watching the YHF documentary explains this quite well. Jeff wasn't in a great place during YHF.

I'll add that if YHF contained studio performances equivalent to the live performances of those songs I've seen/heard with the Sky Blue Sky and onward lineup, I'd probably rank it #1. It was Tweedy's most creative, unique album, but it was executed poorly IMO.
