is it true that germans can't pronounce "squirrel"?

pretty good krautbro

Not too bad.

In English (English) we tend to say litch-re-lee as opposed to liter-rar-ly if that makes any sense at all. You pronounce the 'e' where it's more silent

>litch-re-lee
no. i hate that. stop doing that

litter-ly

said as read

I think thats incorrect

leech a rally

You and me both

lirrli

it's fine, it's just the amerilard lazy version to your pronounciation is probably actually most "correct" in standard english of the three.

Do americans pronounce that tt as closer to d or r?

If I say it quick it's a d and if I say it slow it comes out as a t. So if I want to emphasize it it comes out as a t.

do "mirror" next

vocaroo.com/i/s1OFHQFrA6J0

well technically is skipping one syllable
however when said the 3rd syllable is shadowed by the 2nd and 4th

the ra of li ter ra ly is lower and can transition into a pause between ter and ly since they are so different

the movement of the tongue goes into the same shape regardless of sounding out the syllable in between the transition

yw so if it's too hard you can skip it
you shouldn't sound like d in this case

"squirrel"
