I like DIJ a :OTWATM:
that's nice
Depends on what you mean by neofolk.
If you mean "new compositions in traditional folk styles", yes. If you mean "some singer-songwriter jackoff with an acoustic guitar and blue jeans", no. Although I'd like to know more than I do of the former.

I like folk metal too, although, again, not that well-versed.

Bluegrass can be very folksy sometimes, although it's definitely influenced by black music on a whole.

I really would like to see more synthfolk. I think it's within my skillset to make some with a bit of learning, so I might contribute to that.

I don't know enough about the IRA to make a judgement about them, but they surely had the fire, musically, from what I've heard.

I enjoy Cult of Youth, OP.
I don't, but I know I'm gonna like it when I get around to it.
Start out with "Love Will Prevail", it's their best project.
Thanks, user
None of this is neofolk, you retarded sperglord. Go back to r eddit.
The latter is better, neither are neofolk you dorp.
You might like ghostmice though, they're similiar to that IRS band.
Werkraum is fantastic but I can't find anywhere to download their music.
I know where but I don't tell.

1/3 or so of that is martial industrial though.
recs:
Inneres Gebirge
Parzival (only the two most recent efforts)
Spiritual Front
Is this considered neofolk? Either way, it's good stuff.
no
No? Don't think so at least. It is pretty good though. If you like that you might like the album ash wednesday by Elvis Perkins.
ITT some mongoloid idiot think any folk music made after 1980 must be neofolk because he doesn't know what google is.
>here we see a genre fag in its native habitat
Not really, 90% of neofolk is straight up garbage. Death In June has like 6 songs that are actually good.
I doubt you actually listened to his entire discography if that's how you feel.
Doubt all you want, I've listened to pretty much all of it. His discography can be boiled down to a short playlist of essential songs, and they rest can be easily cast aside.
-Accidental Protege (his best song by a long shot)
-The Calling mk 2 and Carousel cover the early period
-But What Ends When The Symbols Shatter (song, not the album)
-Peaceful Snow is a nice little novelty
That's really all you need. Accidental Protege is a GREAT song, but DI6 is more important for the image than the songs. And that's perfectly OK.
