I'm 100% expecting her to adopt a new, original identity for herself.
It makes sense both thematically, for a character based around wanting to be like her hero and growing up and realizing her heroes not so great and learning to appreciate herself, and from a business standpoint. Sell a new character through the legacy of the old one, establish a fanbase, then give them a title of their own, turn them into their own profitable franchise.

That's what I'm saying.
Her first arc is literally saying her number 1 wish is "I want to be you" to a hallucination of Carol, then realizing she doesn't want to literally be her, but she still adopts the identity of Ms Marvel for her superheroing. Now she's realized, she doesn't actually like her hero and hates her now. From a narrative perspective, it seems logical that she'll abandon the Ms Marvel personna and become her own hero.
