reccing bourbon princess. some pretty noir jazz rock shit. really decent.

youtube.com/watch?v=mbiQ8QVjKHA

oh and also want to rec Pink Turns Blue. They had some great stuff early on in their career, their first two albums in particular are almost flawless in my eyes. Lots of great tracks on both. Just released a new album last year that's pretty good too.

youtube.com/watch?v=FT9lwMakwv8

Excellent choices.

Carpathian Forest did a cover of A Forest that's actually pretty good. They did a version of the theme from Nekromantik as well on the same the record.

you know, this general could use some variety in the op picture
so far theyve only been edits of bela lugosi's dead
a little variety wouldnt hurt

youtube.com/watch?v=FuFLj7nsXdw

This and some Peter Murphy or cure

patty was so qt back in the day. i know andy was just using her to sell records but hot damn

OP here, can't into editing so unless I get other /dark/ edits it'll be this photo.

i'll contribute some more in future editions.

Please do.

how do i get into horror punk?

misfits
mister monster
blitzkid
the rosedales
left for dead

only worthwhile bands out of the genre imo

pretty spooky

...

That movie is awesome.

This should probably be on the sticky, just saying.

fuck this is great

I mean't OP, not sticky.

Also, what do you guys think I should check out next?

Asylum Party, Sisters of Mercy, DCD are all tied for what I recommend.

that chart is really solid now that i actually examine it.

this is great but variations of that bauhaus ncover should forever be /dark/ op

Horror punk isn't a real genre, it's just punk with horror movie lyrical themes.

...and 50s doo-wop influences, and heavy metal influences, and horror film soundtrack influences. It is also much cleaner, calmer and more riff-oriented than most punk.

Are Murderdolls considered Horror Punk?

Murderdolls are considered shit

>in the flat field more essential than mask
how

thanks, just checked those bands out and they're shit
do some of you guys seriously consider horror punk equally good to other genres listed in op?

I don't but this is the thread for it.

Not really. I have no idea why half of those albums are on there.

Paralisis Permanente, ghotic rock with some post punk vibes from Spain. They were really popular back in the 80s until the singer died in a car crash in 1983.

This is actually a pretty terrible chart.

Red House Painters- Down Colorful Hill

would you consider it /dark/???

>you will never be in the industrial/neofolk friend group

I feel this everyday desu

Anyone like Mass?

youtube.com/watch?v=yiB41sfPIfM

I love horror punk but it's dumb as shit and most are just misfits clones. But if you don't like misfits there's probably something wrong with you friend :^)

for the 3rd time can I get some ethereal wave reccs

Lycia - The Burning Circle And Then Dust
Trance to the Sun - Atrocious Virgin
Cocteau Twins - Treasure

I've heard all these mate

Black shirt, black skirt...

then don't be lazy and look up the labels that released these albums for similar artists.

No

Wednesday 13 is borderline horrorpunk. Murderdolls are more like horrornumetalcorebullshit.

Cheesiness is a big part of the appeal. Fuck you for dismissing Blitzkid and The Rosedales. Those were legit good recs.

Just start your own. It's literally folk music, everyone can do it.

I want to do this, but I don't know anyone that would want to play in a industrial/neofolk group. any tips? talk to people at shows maybe?

>pic unrelated

Surely you can find a friend who plays the guitar. All else you can do on your computer.

The first best step is to head on over to libgen.io and read all the evola/mohler/jünger/spengler books you can find. Then head on over to /x/ and get runic with it.
