Idk who originally did this song but I listened to it once and it sounded like ew. Metallica breathe'd new life forces into this dusty old song.
Scatman is a unknown treasure

cigarettes after sex cover of keep on loving you
the cramps cover of i cant hardly stand it
actually all of the cramps covers
every single song he covered was better then the original
This is one of my personal favorites. If you listen to Dylans original, you'd be impressed by how much Jeff improved on it by keeping it simple but powerful youtu.be
Ulver's cover of Black Sabbath's Solitude

this is goat^
also, im torn on bad company, the ffdp version is heavier and more energetic, but the original is really good in it's own right.

I seriously hope no one actually believes Cash's version is better than Trent's.
Cash's version sound so forced, so generic. Like it's someone trying to sound sound just to sound sad.
Trent's version is pure emotion and you can feel the pain in his voice. You know when he wrote it he was in a very dark place and pouring his soul into that song was his catharsis.
Talking Heads' version of Take Me to the River.
the superior Man Who Sold the World cover is the Midge Ure version

I hate this version so much. I can't fucking stand it.
It's the most cliche and generic shit I've ever heard.
>hurr durr lets just sing it softly with quiet music
>surely no one has ever done this before
Sounds like every other attempt at being seen as deep.
ITT
all songs ever written by bob dylan that were covered by other artisits
Nah Dylan's version is better, sounds more genuine. But this version is good
I don't know if this counts as a cover or a re-imagining.
