>Poortugal

cant be arsed to answer, too complex question

lets just say they're niggers

Transylvania is only poor compared to first world countries
If we became independent after WW1, we would have been Switzerland-tier by now

Well I don't know to be honest.

>South Africa

you blew it
you had it all and you blew it

...

Korean culture encourages subhuman behavior.

finns are the niggers of northern europe

>Spain
>Portugal
>Poorer than 2nd best Korea

...

South Korea 34,549
Spain 34,527

Wew

35530 is the cutoff.

>PPP

Wtf I expected Korea to be much higher with their hypermodern cities

For the west to be truly rich, the rest of the world must fail hard and be poor

Jajajjajajajajajja

>poortugal
>sp(oor)ain
kek

Ours is 34,906
South Korea is 34,647

>PPP

>Taiwan
>Poor

?

Do people in the Balkans and Eastern Europe ever get jealous of the Scandinavian countries. Like, they have life on fucking easy mode and everyone is rich as fuck.

stop using Purchasing Power Parity GDP, use nominal to compare different countries

>1501
>Spain happened here

>the average income of Argentina, Brazil, Russia, Albania, Poland, and Bosnia is below the poverty line in America

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

they think that everyone lives like them because in richer countries 'le everything is expensive' meme

yeah, sure, a poor person from the balkans has to starve, a poor person from W Europe and N America can't afford to go out with the lads sometimes

Not expecting better from Portugal (after all more than 75% of Eastern Europe surpassed us in 10 years) but Spain ?

I find this weird.

>Republic of China
>rich

>San Marino
seriously triggered

>use the worst measurement for comparing living standards

You do know that a lot of countries artificially devalue their currency for trade advantage, right?

>poor person from the balkans has to starve,

people in Europe don't starve anymore

The White South Africans are as well off as they were under Apartheid, and the rest (Black, Indian, etc), range from about the same to somewhat better.

To be rich, others need to be poor.

We are full of latinos and africans now

not enough anglos and germanics

Ah I see. The EU treatment

>

:3

It's truly beautiful

>using GDP to compare living standards AT ALL

>currency
toplol

fuck your PooPeePoo arbitrary meme desu

>italy

in Croatia there are people that can't afford food

when you work as a cashier for $400 a month, you CAN'T afford rent+bills+food ANYWHERE.
The prices aren't THAT different

this is why fucking grown ass people that work full time and are 30 year olds live with parents in Croatia.

>there are people that can't afford food

yes but they don't starve

>le rice in vietnam is not the same a rice in iceland

nominal is the correct way to measure gdp.
t. Economics master

there was a kid in elementary school that would buy chips because he had nothing to eat at home

not pleasant

>when you work as a cashier for $400 a month, you CAN'T afford rent+bills+food ANYWHERE.
Christ, and ungrateful shitholes like poland get more money than any single other member from the EU, meanwhile stuff like this is still a problem.
Is it becoming better or is the poverty level stagnating?

we just move there, it's not like we have to hoop some wall or something.

We don't even go yo spain Manolo, stfu

it's been like this forever

most people here blame Croatian politicians, but it's the unions' fault that they don't demand a decent wage 2bh

there are quite a few mothers that work as cashiers.

how they provide for their children, I have no clue

That's because you all go to Mexico

>how they provide for their children, I have no clue

Ask yourself why they have babies

Nominal is the only thing it matter cuz its the economy measured via US dollars. Poorfags countries usually have a noticibily higher ppp than nominal cuz their cost of living and goods are cheaper.

condoms are quite expensive I guess

they smoke a pack of cigs a day tho. Everyone does

You might live fine with 400$ usd in poland but you will never be rich enough to buy expensive shit like laptops and samsung smart tvs cuz these thing are valued in US dollars.

do econoshits have jobs in your cunt?

I want to drop it as soon as I graduate and switch to Statistics (3+2 yrs)

>be poor
>smoke and have 15 children

Dunno I also have a masters in cs so i only work tech.

Pretty much. Poor people are stupid in almost every country.

But my country doesn't use dollars

Bullshit you fucking mug.

But the world does. Try buying a million gallons of oil with pesos (You can't).

A lot of the wealth of rich countries comes from exploiting poor countries.
Can't make billions in profit from selling iPhones around the world if the Chinese aren't willing to work for cents on the hour.

He doesn't use pesos either and you can buy a milion gallons of oil in euro easily.

No you can't you have to convert euros into us dollars and then buy oil with that. It's why it's literally called the "petrodollar".

You don't, other sudacas do

Currencies are merely rates on a computer screen outside of buying from brick and mortar store. Nothing is really "converted" into anything else because it didn't exist in the first place.

Reeeeee

>It's why it's literally called the "petrodollar".
No its not, "petrodollar" refers to these petroleum trading countries making the majority of their foreign currency purchase in dollars through petroleum.
You can easily purchase oil in euro, the 'majority' of crude purchase being in dollar is a completly diffrent matter and has for a long time not been as true as it used to be since many countries have started to put more value on non-dollar foreign currency reserves.

South Korea is neoliberal

I've researched quite alot on this topic and I don't believe the petrodollar system would collapse. Eventually America will always have the world's largest economy and the largest consumer base of which countries will export to. Basically the US is the only relevant game in the global economy and the US dollar with always be the world's reserve currency. I know countries like china have started to push their own currencies as a reserve currency but they cannot back this with their house of cards economy.

No, use real GDP

I wonder how shit will go down in the next centuries though

Corruption.
Instead of building roads / schools / hospitals, you can just buy yourself a palace
it's all
Still need to take control of federal channels, so that the population does not rebel

>I've researched quite alot on this topic and I don't believe the petrodollar system would collapse.
Petrodollar has very little to do with the actual dollar as a currency, its just called that because when it became "a thing" it was the dollar people internationally traded in a lot.
The petrodollar system can't really "collapse" because its not a constant thing, it waxes and wanes constantly.

>Eventually America will always have the world's largest economy
The U.S will stop having the world largest economy within the next decade barring extraordinary economical developments.

More relevant though than that, the common reserve and trade currency isn't determined by the largest economy, but by which currency is the most reliable and most useful in international trade. And in terms of relibaility and trade many other currencies are already becoming more important and will continue to do so. Its not really a matter of replacing, since none of these will have the dominance the dollar used to have, but it will be a lot more diversified currency market.

Real GDP is used to measure growth actually

Because some aren't.

Even if the petrodollar system collapses in maybe the next 20 years it would'nt make much of an impact on the US dollar. If you look at shit like tesla electric cars are becoming cheaper, more prolific and economical. This will decrase the demand of oil when supply is high. Countries like saudi arabia and Russia are on borrowed time.
Oil prices are going to stay low and eventually it will be irrelevant.

The US would voluntarily let their oil business go in the shitter?

Top tier fanwank Hans

>implying rice is important to the icelandic diet

Probably cuz in the end of the day free market will always favour the consumer's choice for more economical and better things.
It's like how whale oil went away and got replaced with petrolium in the 20th century. Even with lobbying you can't go against pure economics and free market principles.
t. Thinking about getting that 30,000 dollar telsa car when it comes out

based

Why aren't all canadian posters like this

I wish I was 1/5 as competent

utterly wrong. Are you some kind of nigger?

Fantastic posts

>America will always have the world's largest economy and the largest consumer base of which countries will export to. Basically the US is the only relevant game in the global economy and the US dollar with always be the world's reserve currency

this is factually wrong, I hope you're not this guy

I read a fuck ton bloomberg and stratfor.
Basically dont fuck with US cuz in the end of the day, you need it more than it needs you.

China/India won't become richer than the US in the next 10-20 years m8

Depends on how you define rich,. China will become a bigger economy within the next 6-7 years. India will take a lot more time to catch up, but give it 20 years or a bit more and they will too.
The U.S,. doesn't have a particularly good or efficient economy, they are merely the worlds largest developed country, thats literally all they got. When India and China catch up in development, and there is nothing stopping them from doing so, their economy will become bigger because of larger pop. and more resources.

so what? you want mexico to go back to when it was socialist?

China has HUGE housing bubble that will make 2008 sub prime look like a great time m8. Also you have no idea how much corporate debt these chinese state own corporations are accumulating coupled with a down turn in exports.
China is fucked.

>more resources

It's like comparing Italy and the UK in the '90s, we used to produce a lot of cheap shit, textile, machinery, low tech manifactury and eventually topped the UK in those years. Our output may have been high but the market economy underneath was severely underdeveloped and lacking capital. The '09 crash and '11 debt crisis hit us so hard because our system can't (and choose not to try to) compete with more advanced countries

Weak demand, low tech investments, heavy public intervention and shitty regulations

They are though
Whites benefitted heavily from the privatization of the post Apartheid government.

Crime is an issue but one south Africa always had due to how their cities were formed and previous government policies.

When it was better? Yeah

I'm sad though, I like chinks and they kinda deserve a spot among the big guys after all the shit they went through

Hey Caunck user, how much do the laws effect and promote business and economic growth? Is there any significant difference from Italy and America?

>It's like comparing Italy and the UK in the '90s
Its not even remotly comparable because the UK and Italy are a lot more similar in demographics and resources than U.S and China or India.
Its a ludicrous comparison. China doesn't need to reach anywhere near the same development or tech standard compared to the U.S. to have a bigger economy simply due to its massive population.

>Weak demand
A important issue for a country that needs to produce more than its population can consume like european states, but not one for a country whos own population is one of the biggest global markets. Chinese population gets wealthier with every year and thus becomes a bigger and bigger market on which the chinese companies have a utter stranglehold courtesy of the goverment. This domestic demand gives them a huge competitive edge.

They might end up with a larger economy for some time but it won't last, chinese growth is impressive also because they opened up fairly recently

Quality over quantity

Because they are all stupid,bro.
