Artic Monkeys

They're are a great band but Britain has too many good bands to pick one ultimate. Blur would be up there though. Arctic Monekys as well.

beat me to it

Biffy Fuckin Clyro

>This nigger doesn't even know about television personalities

Iron maiden
Motorhead
The beetles
Radiohead
The Who
The Clash
Queen
Pink Floyd
Muse
Duran Duran
Dire Straits
Def Leppard
The Verve
Oasis
Led Zeppelin
Manic Street Preachers
Travis
The Cult
Deep purple
The Police
The Prodigy
Dragonforce
The stone roses

Not saying Blur is worse than ALL of these but think about what you're saying. Blur is nowhere near the top of the list.

Hey op you misspelled Bush

>fucking art school ponces

Blur don't have a single fully-descended testicle between them.

>The beetles

>The single most popular band of all time is somehow bad

Must be nice being contrarian

Gorillaz and the good, the bad, the queen are waaaaayyyy better. Coffe and tv is an amazing video and good song though

Iron fucking maiden

>Dire Straits

Iron fucking Maiden

Arctic monkeys better than the Beatles? Are you retarded

Oasis my man

The Beatles are shit fuck you sperg

Black.
Sabbath.

IT WASN'T

AAAYSSAAAY

There is no band called the Beetles, retard,

Of all time? If so it is not Blur and it is The Beatles but if it is bands that are still technically together I would say Led Zeppelin (they played in 2013) but if it is band that still regularly tour then it would be The Stone Roses.

Fucking metaltards.

JOY DIVISION

THE SMITHS

THE PRODIGY

/THREAD

hurr durr, it's Nirvana, you cunt.

Past? That would be the beatles, followed by pink floyd.
Present? That would be jake bugg, followed by the artic monkeys

My friend, for a second just sit back and try to use your limited imagination. Imagine being a teenager in grey, depressing, economically fucked 60's Britain. Nothing has really changed since the war, the politicians, culture and future prospects are identical. You have to do national service to try to maintain an empire that the entire world can see is falling apart. And then, from a shitty background in a shitty city just like yours, come the Beatles. The first new thing to happen since people started listening to Jazz. They blew culture out of the water and jump started a global revolution. I promise you, everyone from Adele to Snoop Dogg to Immortal have been inspired in some way by The Beatles. Educate yourself and get some fucking culture, pleb.

Nah m8, just plebs. Majority of metalheads I know listen to and accept all kinds of music.

user is correct its blur plebs

One direction omg :3 wtf is blur xD

...

Two words
The. Doors.
Best 60s band.

Saw them at Download, and again in January at the O2. Not the best concerts I've been to, they were lacking in energy due to the fucking titanic amounts of chemicals they've taken over their lives. But I'll never forget seeing them.

This guy gets it

The Doors, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, The Kinks, Pink Floyd.

Those were interesting times.

Babbys first step into britpop

ha haha, good joke. They were so popular in The UK that they had to go to the States where their shit would actually get air play.

You are forgetting the zombies my good man. Which happen to be the best band of the 60s

Apart from all the others. They only had one good tune.

I am not sure we are thinking of the same band here

They did "she's not there" and what else?

Diffrerentfag here. Time of the Season was another big hit. They were pretty fucking good t.b.h.

Blur? Not a single ounce of talent in any of them. No idea how they are successful. Gorillaz on the other hand, there's a talented group...

>Kasabian
>Artic Monkeys
>Oasis
>Kaiser Chiefs
OP there r to many good English bands for ur pathetic blur

They ain't The Stones though are they?, never as big as them and never had as many hits.

radiohead, queen, led zeppelin, the beatles, the rolling stones.

>blur

BRITSIH bands. Not copycat Americunt bands.

Mon the Biff

This guy clearly doesn't understand the word ''greatest''. These are ''very good'' bands not ''great''.

Are you dense sir? We went off topic to talk about other good bands. Calm your tits.

When did we go off topic? This thread is British bands.

The Clash, solo artist-Billy Bragg

Biffy fuking shtehole smell yer maw ya fanny

Billy who? Billy shag? Billi silly willy?

Ok, why aren't you complaining about or ?

Get the rod out of your arse and stop policing threads for posts you don't like

Mon then, I'll burst ye

I saw that Nirvana post- it is included in the idiots who can't stay on topic. I'm not policing threads just staying relevant to the actual main discussion, it more interesting than just a universal debate about bands.

Stop being all butthurt cause I called you out for not noticing this was a British only bands: retard.

No one's mentioned Depeche Mode or The Stranglers yet?
>i am disappoint

you couldni burst bubble wrap you melt

Television personalities are brittish, what are you on about?

These were all me. Have you actually contributed other than to bitch about me and Doorsanon?

Stranglers were great until Hugh left, feels bad man

Imo The Who kicks ass

This is true. And I'm not into his solo work even though I've tried numerous times. Burnel and Greenfield are the two reasons I like them still (I play bass and like any kind of prog keys)

Yes, I have. It's not bitching its merely a factual correction, get over it.

Same here! JJ's bass playing was so beautiful and clean man. What's your favourite Stranglers tune? It's cool you can play bass, I can't even read music lmao

Obv The Smiths are the best band of the 80s, period. For 90s, is it Blur? I prefer Suede.
Current greats: Bugg, Monkeys, Teleman.

Prefer Goirllaz over Blur.

I can't read music! One of the first bass lines I learnt was Peaches. But I prefer strange little girl, no more heroes, bear cage. Years ago a friend of mine tabbed the whole back catalog for guitar. He even had the band message him about what a good job he did. Top guys, wish I was old enough to have seen them.

Either way I'm still incredibly envious! All of those are great choices, Strange Little Girl and No More Heroes are personal faves. Sick that your mate heard from them too!
I only saw the Stranglers once and that was with Baz rather than Hugh because I'm only 20 lol, JJ was still brilliant though

>tfw no Genesis in this thread

Not "the best" but definitely up there.

Pic related

...

20? Fair enough I was a fan at 20 but it was music I grew up with. Good to see kids have good taste. Their message is still relevant too. At least if you're a bitter, Northern ex-socialist that doesn't want to vote UKIP like every fucked in the social club like me. YouknowwhatImean?

Good shouts, guys

>These were all me.

Go to reddit. You get a username and upvotes for the trash you want recognition for. Faggot.

Know just what you mean man, it's good that we can join together over good music! Have a great day my friend :)

The Smiths for sure.

Cradle Of Filth

Are we talking all time? I would have to say LYNARD SKYNARD FTW. That one song... Tom Sawyer is a master piece in itself. I just wish their lead singer had not died if aids

>British

It's Gentle Giant. God agrees.

Yeah probably Maiden for me, or Wishbone Ash

Yes.

Lmfao I only saw the image and didn't know it was Blur but knew it was a bunch of guys from the UK due to their wonky, moderately inbred facial features and huge fucking ears

The correct answer is Black Sabbath you bunch of shitdicked horsewankers

Who the fuck are the beetles? Do they drive VWs?

Bananarama

They got/get more prime flange than you though

Blur is an awesome game.

Wait, band?

Arguably, yes

They were still better though.
