I feel like Sup Forums started to go downhill in 2010 and progressively got worse

This may sound cheesy, but for me it felt like our version of the 60's. It was our own small counter-culture movement. And it belonged to us.

And like the tied-died t-shirts of the 60's, elements were adopted by popular culture.

Now, I'm resentful of this... It doesn't feel like it belongs to 'us' anymore. Now it's a watered down fad that children are latching onto & leeching dry of any significance.

people didn't treat replies like facebook likes or upvotes. now with traffic higher than ever people come in and see all these shit bait threads getting replies and think that's how it's done.

now, with the file size cap, which I'm betting is in part to make the boards more mobile friendly, it's only going to get worse

Main thing I used to like that is largely gone are the occasional random thread.

There are still those threads today, but 99% 404 without a response because we need 25 dick threads,15 threads dedicated to ugly hags people stalk, and countless spammers that don't get banned or threads purged.

Sup Forums has always been the true heart of Sup Forums. It was once where societies rejects came to flurish. Each a faggot in their own right, but because everyone was a social reject, it resulted in some god tier threads always full on interesting shit.

These days Sup Forums has been rendered to a bunch of fap threads, and get threads. These have always been a part of Sup Forums. But they were never EXCLUSIVELY the content until upwards of a few years ago.

Sup Forums tends to be at its best after midnight EST. Threads can last awhile and sometimes be interesting and unique. Middle/high schoolers gotta be in bed before then so post quality increases.
