helo this is tront
i make indusitral musics
do u want some?
I asked this in the other thread but i'll ask here as well.
i dug out my backlog hd earlier today and i've got bunch of the newer "retro" flavoured synth stuff (Gost, Volkor X, Perturbator, etc). I haven't listened to any of it yet, going to do so tomorrow. Anybody have an opinion on this kind of material? Also, any specific artists/releases you'd recommend?
Which is worse? Power electronics that masquerade as Martial Industrial, or Neofolk that masquerades as Martial Industrial?
VHS Glitch and Dead Can Dance.
what is this and where can i get more like this?

Probably PE, PE is its own style represented by unrelenting aggression and sonic feedback distortion and it doesn't fit the cold and internalized atmosphere of martial industrial.
>VHS glitch
this looks cool, thanks.
Already all over DCD. Haven't heard their latest album, am I missing out?
Also, Brendan Perry's solo stuff is great. Ark is an A+ album.
all od DCD is great
also try Project Paula
rec me some /dark/ albums to listen during the winter while its freezing and theres half a meter of snow
THIS ALBUM IS FUCKING SHIT
MARTIAL INDUSTRIAL POWERLEVELS
>atmowank
Les Colonnes de l'Éternité
Thule Sehnsucht in der Maschinen Zeit
Predella Avant
>basically trailer music
L'Effet c'est Moi
Legionarii
Triarii
Arditi
Across the Rubicon
>TRVE VOLKISCH DISCO POWER
Von Thronstahl
Preussak

Kreuzweg OST

80s Laibach
best album art of all time?
Literally any coldwave
listen to dungeon synth in those conditions desu
then i guess i have two more albums to check out tomorrow. cheers
not an album, but this EP is really great. The chick on it does vocals in Draconian and has another dark electronica solo project I haven't given a shot yet. She sounds a lot like Chelsea Wolfe on this record.
youtube.com
top tier album
want to rec TriORE as well. Collaboration between Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio and Triarii. More accessible than either project, I thought. Still good though.
John Carpenter's Lost Themes is still the best.
Synthwave or Retrowave or whatever you want to call it is awesome. The whole genre is overflowing with creativity right now.
Some artists I like a lot:
Perturbator
Dynatron
Gunship
Carpenter Brut
Dan Terminus
Com Truise
GosT
John Carpenter's Lost Themes
Mega Drive
Cosmic Sand
Try woods with light and with love
i've got it lined up in my queue, along with the sequel.
thank you.
man i'm excited for tomorrow. i've got the entire day off and i haven't listened to music in months (got clean, nothing could hold my attention for a while).
Apparently the guy who does Derniere Volonte has another project called Position Parallele that released an album this year. Haven't heard it yet but this track seems promising.
youtube.com
Clan of Xymox: Medusa
Pieter Nooten and Michael Brooks: Sleeps With The Fishes
Cocteau Twins:Treasure
Lycia: Cold
Tamaryn:Craneskiss
Lebanon Hanover: Besides The Abyss
Kek
any good neofolk so far this year?
hey dont be mean
Who comes up with these?
if you read and agree with Julius Evola, you're a fucking dunce
Is there a band like The Cramps but not technically shit? I love them but their riff gets a bit old after a while.
Within the Depths of a Darkened Forest (the album) by Autumn's Grey Solace
or literally any Lycia album.
Your shitty collage cover will never beat Alien Sex Fiend
>be into metal, prog and psych mainly
>never venture very far out of my comfort zone musically
>decide to try out some new genres
>look on RYM what's highly rated this year
>this looks interesting
>mfw it's amazing
Any more like it?
that ain't dark
sounds dark and industrial to me desu
Tront Rezner
why you insult the genre single handedly created by trent jurgensons
Kek
I'm looking for something thoroughly disgusting and unforgiving to give my head a good cleaning with. Stalaggh and Incapacitants used to do it for me, but now I need something heavier, louder, and more violent.
Lycia
What are some stuff that similar to The Downward Spiral or Pretty Hate Machine? what bands should I look for?
I tried skinny puppy already (like their two first albums I think) and didn't really dig it that much, what more should I try?
I usually go through phases of getting really into FLA and now I'm in another one. I think this album has went from my favorite to least favorite and back probably 5 times
Tactical Neural Implant is second on my to listen to list rn (right after Moon's Milk)
maybe godflesh
Why do you think that?
Enjoy
Because fascism is an ideology for manbabies
NOT Godflesh. Godflesh is austere, harsh, slow and devoid of NIN's pop appeal.
It's overrated too.
Maybe try early KMFDM. Specifically Money.
Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft - Alles ist gut
Ministry, my man.
Go chronologically - the first album is straight synth pop, everything afterwards gets harsher and harsher until it devolves into straight industrial speed metal.
Also, Killing Joke in my opinion.
I think Implode is their "best" album, but I listen to their earlier stuff more often.
+1 on Ministry. I listened to them chronologically and it was great to see their progression (or at a certain point, degredation imo)
Yeah, the Bush trilogy was basically the end of the band I'd say. Those three are still great mind you, but nothing good came from them after that.
But Julius Evola didn't like fascism for its emphasis on the masses and called the Brownshirts a bunch of peasants.
Who cares
Literally the best horror punk album there is.
This.
Julius Evola was just another German Nazi who got rekt when the Soviet Union took over. I don't get why he isn't in the dustpan of history yet.
The new Art Abscon is nice, although he is at a steady pace movin away from neofolk musically. It's not officially out but I found it leaked on slsk.
Don't be so hard on Evola. He was a pretty cool guy. And caling him a nazi or fascist is factually incorrect.
>he's not a fascist or a Nazi!
>he is just a nationalist traditionalist racist who hates Jews and supported the SS!
Fuck off, alt-right.
Mussolini loved the guy. Even if he wasn't technically a fascist he still sucked
Recommend good music you fags.
all of current 93
>I am not a Fascist, I am a super-Fascist!
I have a very special plan.
This album is the equivalent of seeing a really scary silhouette of somebody in your room and then you turn on the light and realise it just your lamp. Hell, some parts of this album is downright beautiful, like the piano part in the middle of The Schmürz (Unsullied By Sucking).
Godflesh has some of best riffs i've ever heard.
underrated you mean
This. Homotopy to Marie creates some of the best, creepiest atmosphere I've ever heard in an album
>black
>nip-
>KSSHSSHSHHZZZZHSHSHSHSZHZHHKKKK
>-ples
are the angelic process /dark/
Funny, I was just about to post them.
Are there any other shoegaze bands who seem to straddle the border with industrial and also killing yourself? (I guess arguably I Am A Lake of Burning Orchids and Have A Nice Life and other Enemies List artists could qualify.)
Some of ambersmoke's stuff is like that but he's pretty spotty quality-wise.
Rezfeel >>> Tront
I remember that guy. I really was enjoying one of his albums until he put in the sample from killing cats from Gummo. It wasn't even a brief one, it went on the whole song. I couldn't take it that seriously after that. I guess knowing the source of the sample didn't help.
I typically hate when people describe artists as pretensious but some of his stuff feels that way. I remember hin having some decent albums but some of hus stuff really falls flat and sounds amateurish as hell
he wasnt a nazi you fucking retard
I get what you're saying. "Girls In Merzbow Shirts" is a pretty pretentious song title, and even has that same bassline that all doomgaze songs have and even the same GarageBand HANL drums.
Could you retards post some links so I know if I'll like this general
Hitler
>hated democracy
>hated Jews
>supported the SS
Evola
>hated democracy
>hated Jews
>supported the SS
Yep, no Nazis here.
wow you're a genius
Me
>drink water
You
>drink water
we're basically the same person

I actually love Houses of the Molé, but it's nothing compared to Land of Rape and Honey or Filth Pig
I never liked Ministry.
>implying invoking the superfascist quote meamt I said he was a Nazi
Nazis and Fascists are different.
I too like Evola, apoliteic music and political discussion but please keep it out of this thread.
Listen to my nice recs instead:

They will never be bested.

How does a man procure a low-key goth gf of the sort that doesn't look like an over the top Hot Topic/Tumblr goth but still gives off vaguely goth vibes? You know the sort of girl I'm talking about, they look pretty normal but still come off as brooding and standoffish in that typical goth way.
go to shows
do drugs (optional but helps)
have long hair and muscles
i lived with a girl like you're describing for about a year. we never smashed except one time when we were both really drunk. most of the time we just did heroin together. i miss her.
pic related, her ideal dude.
>Type O Negative
>World Coming Down
One of the first bands/albums I ever got into.
I don't even think I was into my teens when I saw this on TV one night, or I might have been like 13 years old at best. By the end of that week I already got my hands on World Coming Down and October Rust and that was pretty much where my whole interest in music began. Good times.

A girl of this exact sort was one of my best friends in college and one of my favorite people in general. She got me into a shitload of music and art in general that I never would have gotten into on my own. She killed herself several years ago.
