It is dead. Unfortunately for that first guy "We're in an age of capekino", this movie was just never popular enough to warrant a sequel. People want it but not enough of them.

Knowing the present state of things, Dredd will get a PG13 Netflix deal and never swear and only kill 3 people throughout a 10 episode season, one being the "big bad guy".

Yeah, but it won't. I think honestly if anyone's hope is for a nice gritty dark bloody Dredd show to exist (and seriously Netflix is like the only shot) we need the The Punisher show to go well. I never even finished the second season of Daredevil because The Punisher left, even though I know it's briefly. I think they're realizing people want that level of intensity and not the typical "do no evil" bullshit superhero nonsense.

Yeah and I think that's a problem that can't be solved. Only guys will like Dredd. So there cannot be a stable show, Netflix needs a sequel to Dredd.

It can almost be the exact same movie, just with a different drug that puts Dredd and Co in more risk. It can be some uncovered neighborhood block "under attack".

Sone of the people that worked on dredd also worked on EX MACHINA another movie I liked but didnt have a male lead for female audiences to lust over.

Dredd was awesome solid plot,the effects and sets looked awesome

Well that skinning with the slo-mo was quite possibly one of the worst things portrayed in movies not specifically meant to be gore. Not necessarily the actual scene but the concept behind it.
