soundcloud.com/user-245109103/dnalsi-llod >reminds me of $uicideboy$ >around 1:40 give it a listen please :) I also just recorded a version with vocals on it should I post it ?
listened to Echo, at like 1:28 that drop sold me like a salesman. Chill af i can dig (being stoned is probably a factor contributing too.
dude real sad hours i fw this. It reminds me of post punk mixed with a flavor of our modern days production. You got a download from me. Vocals are casual as fuck, i love it. Stay at it.
baby, you had me at >shoegaze check yo subscribers for sad.shadow

Thank you very much for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I listened to your stuff, your voice really suits the style you're going for. Keep at it.

Dude, are you doing everything yourself (video and audio) ? Your work is great
soundcloud.com/user-400673921/opportunity >Heavy Trip hop Downtempo Kind of Bruh this gave me the willies I'm digging the vibes but there's something shady about those drums I genuinely love this, I need moar This is too hard man it's not even fair
Evan Gray
The drums are shady because they are just the crappy digital drums in Garageand. I don't own a drum kit, and I didn't know anyone at the time who did. I know it sounds crap, I just hope it didn't ruin the whole song. Thanks for the feedback.
Jason Gonzalez
Nah not at all man it's still lit just stuck out a little bit is all
Bought some samples a few days ago and worked on this for 2 days, really digging it even though it's still a WIP, gonna program som bridges and better transitions.
Anyone in need of sample packs, serum presets or massive presets? I got a stinking huge collection of both bought and pirated stuff, usually bought what I couldn't find online. PM me on soundcloud if ya interested.

Awesome, I really wish to learn how to make ambient trap, tried many times but it never sounds as I want.
What DAW do you use? Samples, VST, instruments?

dude, your music isn't great but it's fun as hell. try filling out more of the freq. because overall your tracks seem just a bit flat
i like the synth tones but not the vocal sample on wind runner it starts to feel really disjointed halfway thru idk but i suppose that was the purpose
not a v funny joke
not a fan of the intro sample drum progression is a lil too simple for me maybe sped up i'd like it more
sounds like it's trying to be spooky but it comes across as cheesy bc all the instruments sound like dry midi keyboard sounds same with the drum sounds .. the 808 is kinda incessant
not the guy to consult when it comes to brostep not a fan of yr bass sounds or the piano the drums sound like they're from a vengeance pack
This is a good time
intro is v .. soundtrack-esque the string synth sounds very .. synthy and cheesy the drums arent v lofi but it sounds like they have a lot of reverb on em
i'd really have to be in the mood to listen to this full tape but i like what i hear from skimming around yr most recent collab
i really enjoy the intro and the sample on melayang .. but the drums could be a lil darker or maybe be eq'd to match how lofi the sample is *shrug*
U need to sound more confident or something .. really not a fan of yr vocal delivery on the chorus almost sounds like Bladee
it sounds like u cut all the high frequencies on yr most recent track and it's upsetting my ears the synth and drum tones on jamsession2 are very dry sounding
same as above 808 is very full and wide, maybe needs to be mono'd also .. not trip hop
very cool soundscapes .. just a couple of yr sounds are lil too ableton-stretchy but altogether its cool
the synths and the chord progression are kinda cheesy the reverb on the snare is very intense
the vocal snippets on yr most recent track are too much 4 me
not a fan of any of the synths halfway thru on wip4 .. just v random
made this little beat. was gonna jam a lot more guitar than that loop, but I broke strings
Owen Stewart
cheesy synths .. arpeggio sounds automated drums could use better mixing and better effects also a less repetitive pattern
rly dry drums .. synth patterns are all over the place and v random sounding
also very dry drums .. weird 808 pitch automation your hihat sample sounds like a crash cymbal not a fan of the synth patterns or tones
it'd make fine background music for a main menu i suppose but the glitch sounds are pretty cheesy the drum pattern is too simple imo and the looping at :40 is too repetitive
Yo ye sick
chord progression is .. very simple beat pattern is .. very simple drums sound too MIDI the guitar is too cheesy 4 me
....now where is the jungle
Mason Bailey
amen break, gunshots, anime jungle semi-continuous mix, 30 minutes long recorded to tape, ripped from tape
FL Studio 12, the 808 is from Aryays Lion Kit 2 with an overdrive during the chorus. Its free on his fb page if you like it. Used massive for most of the synths, nexus for the bells and root note bassline. The choir is just vanilla directwave "ooh" with some effects and mastering as well. The ambient sound comes from routing mixer channels to a separate, proprietary reverb with a 3-5 millisecond delay, stereo as wide as you can get, no bass, little bit of high, more wet than dry. If you can get the reverb down and not have it sound too muddy/saturated its pretty easy to get a lot of things sounding ambient.
I mean, from skimming, it sounds like this might be some cool shit and Im gonna listen more right now, but why do you make it sound like there is a concrete wall between me and the music?
James Stewart
>speed up track 25% >record to tape >rip from tape >slow down track 25% genius
fr tho it's because some of them are remixes and some of them are demos and i'd rather not upload either in full quality
Drums seemed a little too forward for me, try doubling up on that violin sample and pitching it down an octave to give it a little more heft
Easton Reyes
>it'd make fine background music for a main menu i suppose but the glitch sounds are pretty cheesy >the drum pattern is too simple imo >and the looping at :40 is too repetitive
Yeah the beat is gonna get more varied, and I dug deep into my glitch folder for all these sounds, IDM/Glitch is what I love to do.
Actually I'm gonna run it through Stutter Edit now and make some bridges/transitions out of it.

Saving this, I got FL12 installed but haven't tried it too much, need to learn the hotkeys and really read the manual or checking some vids, I use Renoise 3.1 and do some finalizing in Audacity for most part. Attempting to learn Reaper now, I really need a good sequencer.
Thanks for elaborating.

I finished composing the basic arrangements of a progressive rock tune i came up with that took me a fair short amount of time to do but i still have to track rhythm and lead guitars. There's no phrasings/melodies yet because i have to bring my guitar to the music store because my neck needs some straightening and i'm waiting for a return of defective bridge pick up that i bought last year. Then when everything is fixed on my guitar, i will track the final parts of the song, add some more drum fills, re mix and re master it
Feel free to give me some honest constructive critism, thanks!
>If you can get the reverb down and not have it sound too muddy/saturated its pretty easy to get a lot of things sounding ambient.
Oh yeah, I bought Eventide Blackhole Reverb and it's simply amazing. Consider buying it. pluginboutique.com/product/2-Effects/17-Reverb/2855-Blackhole I usually duck my reverb with some looping sample or usie olumeShaper4 and set it on morphing sine (adds a sweet LFO effects on the track).
Combined with EpicReverb(best free reverb there is), ToraVerb by D16 Group and Ambience by Smart Electronix(Which got free quite recently, it used to cost 11 bucks) I i think I'm all preperad for reverbing.
Well-made, but imho sometimes you sound a little insecure or nervous when singing/rapping. These are all problems people have in their early days, i'm sure, don't worry yourself none.
track deleted?
Well-made; but you should get a better mic. I have a behringer c1u. It's affordable and has decent, studio-like quality. what mic do you have?
i refuse to react to anyone else not reccing
Parker Clark
Use a different bass and try to "segway" the synth in rather than just put it in like that. I see what you're going for, but that synth "loop" at the beginning isn't a thing you can just do without some expertise
Just some electronic i put together in my spare time
Very nice blend of distorted and glitched drums with soft and melodic synths. Also that bass is wonderful. Love the way the synths come in at the beginning and take over the bass with the light bells in the background, so wonderful. Distant and compressed vocals compliment very nicely. Absolutely amazing how the later synths fade in, with that gritty one in the background. Absolutely fantastic track.
I like the hard tone, altough i feel this song could use some rhythm through something more higher pitch. i fw this tho
Austin Baker
just released my second 9 track tape a few moments ago.. alternative rap with and emphasis on lyrics. very proud of this one as I feel that it's a solid improvement over the first.
>dream pop, hypnagogic, electronic, ambient i'm usually good at returning feedback
very well produced -- usually there's not a lot of thought that goes into the production of this style of edm but it seems like you know what youre doing bird up i really like your flow a lot -- this is the only lofi hiphop release since the first lofi.hiphop beat tape that i actually like will probably listen to the whole thing later. lmk if you wanna collab
I like this so far. gonna listen later, I like break stuff though. might reccomend using a different break drum though, experiment around with other samples
this is okay for Lo-fi, but honestly you should invest in some actual gear. using albeton stock sounds is fine though I use them all the time
will listen later because I always like those slow beats with those goddamn nice voice and harp samples. seriously please share those samples because they're super fucking nice
I'm not a fan of using CR78's or like 808's on a guitar track, also your voice is a tad bit annoying, no offense. I would just mix your voice in a little better with the rest of the instruments though. its def not a bad song tho.
this isn't bad, just work on production value, like mastering and making those drums pop, though this would be a very cool video game soundtrack though
Awww shit clicked on "obvious" I already like this, will listen to more later. the only thing I will say is that when the drums hit, I feel like they should be wayy more prominent, but the composition is fucking great and incredible.
listened to a couple tracks off of this and i really dig it -- you have a really good voice to match your style of writing with which is usually not the case for a lot of people who do all of the instrumentation/writing on their albums
>the only thing I will say is that when the drums hit, I feel like they should be wayy more prominent,
already been remixed and remastered for the album release
