i got completely tanked before they went on and a couple of songs into their set i took off my shoe and threw it at one of the gallaghers. god knows why. i remember it was a green chuck taylor all star
when the song wound down noel made an angry comment about it. liam, who seemed to be in better spirits, held the shoe up clearly for all to see and—affecting a very funny accent and making sure to articulate every word for the dumb yuros in the crowd—said "shoes on stage, band go home"
