What sorts of combinations of unique opinions do you have?
Carson Morgan
Philip Glass is a complete hack and gives the entire movement of minimalism a bad name The Ramones are one of the worst bands of all time, and the fact that they were so influential made pop music as a whole worse Death Grips are the single best band to debut in the 2000s, and Niggas on the Moon is the third best hip hop album of all time Biosphere is a huge hack and anyone inspired by his work (including Tim Hecker, OPN, Lawrence English and Ben Frost) is either a hack or a potentially good musician wasting their talents
Jaxson Williams
Judas Priest vs. Iron Maiden is ehh, they're about even.
Kreator opinion is correct.
The Doors you could at least make an argument for.
Velvet Underground opinion is right.
Everything else is edgy contrarian horseshit even people who watch MTV in 2017 can tell you is wrong. Try harder next time
Cooper Jackson
>Judas Priest is better than Iron Maiden >Kreator is the best Teutonic thrash band These are true. I add: Ramones are one of the best bands ever 70's punk was best punk New York Dolls were a good band and johnny thunders is a genius the 70's was the best dacade for rock music never mind the bollocks is interesting but not the best ever Molested's "Blood Draum" is one of the best death metal albums
Levi Gray
Sex Pistols are the best of the original punk bands
Andrew Turner
>Death Grips are the single best band to debut in the 2000s Nah, that would be Toxic Holocaust.
Jackson Evans

Hudson Miller

Brandon Moore
Abbey Road is the worst later Beatles album
Brody Sanchez
Torrenting music is wrong
CDs are too expensive
Playing live can destroy the artist's creativity
Lyrics are important as they represent the sound, either have good lyrics or none at all.
Listening to one genre or music is a waste of possible enjoyment.
Reviewing music is pointless as enjoyment from music cannot be objectified universally.
Parker Gray
>Doolittle is massively overrated >Trompe Le Monde is better than Doolittle >Oasis are garbage and Dig Out Your Soul is their best album >Pearl Jam aged like shit and are garbage for the most part >Colplay's first EP and Single are 10/10 >Sex Pistols are garbage >13th Floor Elevators are garbage >mbv is better than Loveless >Ceres and Calipso in the Deep Time is garbage
Benjamin Gomez
Agree with all the points, especially the first one. I try to avoid torrenting whenever possible, especially for smaller bands.
Nathan Wilson
>Torrenting music is wrong >CDs are too expensive This truly is the duality of man
Aaron Hernandez
>playing live can destroy the artist's creativity how so >reviewing music is pointless half agree. sometimes a good reviewer can guide the listener to hear things in more nuanced ways though
Cooper King
That was the only point I thought back upon, I think I put that because some of the "underground" artist's CDs go for about 15-30 quid here in the UK, and sometimes there's also sometimes customs charge (I bought a Tamaryn shirt+cd combo and due to customs it was around 40 quid). So maybe SOME CDs are too pricey. Especially some atmospheric black metal CDs with like 4 repetitive tracks.
I was watching this Agalloch interview on youtube and the members all stated that they had to limit their instruments, complexity and ideas to fit a live environment for an honest, representative show, I can just imagine perhaps other bands have familiar dilemmas which limits the capabilities of an Album to play live realistically.
Henry Garcia
>Philip Glass is a complete hack and gives the entire movement of minimalism a bad name
Josiah Diaz
Viking Metal is 100% a genre, end yourself.
Gavin Perry
Devo's first album is excessively overrated
Abbey Road is the most overrated album of all time (not a bad album)
The Brown Album is better than Frizzle Fry
The Mollusk is better than Quebec
The Cowboy Bebop soundtrack is the greatest OST of all time
Death Grips is still one of if not the most interesting musical acts to come out of this decade
Adrian Kelly

Satan is better than Judas Priest or Iron Maiden Helloween's first album beats any album after it. Power and thrash metal beat death, black, folk, viking and progressive metal any day. Filosofem beats any album Varg ever did. Rainbow Rising beats any rock album from the 70s or 80s. Sabaton's Carolus Rex is the best power metal album of this decade. Wasted Years is Iron Maiden's best song. Kreator is overrated, Sodom and Pessimist are not. Manowar and Gloryhammer beats Rhapsody, Blind Guardian. Rust in Peace beats any other album by the big 4 except Ride the Lightning.
Logan Reed
>Rust in Peace beats any other album by the big 4 except Ride the Lightning.
Yep those are the top 2 right there
Luis Nguyen
>>Pearl Jam aged like shit and are garbage for the most part whos denied this
Ian Rogers

Mason Stewart
>No gorguts
Jaxson Turner
Thrash metal for the most part is boring. Most hip hop before 2000 is boring. Father john misty is a hack. Death grips are one of the best acts of the 2010s. NIN lyrics are more conplex and thematic then most people give trent credit for. Classical music is boring because it lacks personality and emotion.
Ryan Perez
Why do poeple like clsssical music? It lacks everything that makes music special in the first place, no personality no emtion just a bunch of grandious technicality that all sounds the same. Its like buying a chair from IKEA and putting it together with the instructions, while it is still a chair that works as a chair it lacks the fine tuned details and craftsmanshis that you would see in a hand made chair.
Anthony Powell
>Philip Glass is a complete hack and gives the entire movement of minimalism a bad name This is a fairly popular opinion... more radical (and more accurate) would be "Philip Glass and Steve Reich." I agree about Biosphere, though >Father john misty is a hack you got one right at least
Luis Russell
>Satan is better than Judas Priest or Iron Maiden >Filosofem beats any album Varg ever did >Wasted Years is Iron Maiden's best song >Rust in Peace beats any other album by the big 4 except Ride the Lightning all true >Power and thrash metal beat death, black, folk, viking and progressive metal any day Incorrect on black and death, prog an viking are just trash Only one of these statements it's true
Asher Cooper
>The Beach Boys are infinitely better than The Beatles >infinitely
Isaac Bell
Doom, sludge, and death are the only good genres of metal
Parker Gonzalez
>Power and thrash Metal beat Death and Black Metal Fuck no.
Elijah Bennett
Unironically rustled
Nathaniel King
Steve Reich is the most disciplined composer of the minimalists. His ideas weren't as radical as stone of his peers but his execution of those ideas was unparalleled.
Parker Perry
nah
Luis Anderson
It was ruined from the start.
Jacob Hall
But user I like rap and can appreciate Pet Sounds and King Crimsons discography
Joshua Butler
Slayer is leagues better than nearly every other thrash band
Jayden Gray

>Ramones are one of the best bands ever The best punk band for sure.
>Torrenting music is wrong Not if you can't afford it or the music isn't available in your country. >CDs are too expensive On release, yes. >Reviewing music is pointless No, it's good to listen to other people's opinions, but you also have to defend your own. >enjoyment from music cannot be objectified universally This is true.
>The Cowboy Bebop soundtrack is the greatest OST of all time It's great.
I like listening to EDM which most of Sup Forums considers as trash.
Anthony Jones
>I like listening to EDM which most of Sup Forums considers as trash. It's not even real music
>Philip Glass is a complete hack and gives the entire movement of minimalism a bad name Good to know. That would be why other hacks like Ravi Shankar and David Byrne worked with him, right?
