Never listened to any of this stuff

Love this. I just made a playlist for a long drive over last weekend that included songs from both of those Dinosaur Jr albums, The Cure, The Mountain Goats, and the Violent Femmes. I like Candy Claws too.

In contrast I think I haven't heard a single one of these albums.

Are you Brazilian or something?

I'll post an old 4x4 so I can participate, but I guess I should really make an updated one that reflects more of what I have been listening to recently.

not a 5x5 but you get the gist

Romeo Void - It's A Condition
i've seen your charts so many times man, started listening to heavenly bc of u. Good shit

>BROCKHAMPTON
Listen to their new singles first if you haven't yet. They're leagues ahead of the album.

Would you describe this chart as "diverse" or would you say all the selections are orbiting around the same thread of taste?

You kinda just put mostly well-known-to-enthusiasts and highly acclaimed albums. If I were you I might pare it down to the ones that are more specific to you personally for a 5x5 or 4x4 or whatever.

+CHON

Newborn Sun is great, kind of hyped for any future things given their last two singles.

Doing it wrong
tapmusic.net/

Yes Im brazillian

...

Oh yeah, Sunny Day Real Estate, Don Cab, Ride, Neu!; all great. Nothing wrong with Jimmy Eat World or The Smiths. Probably got the best Weezer album and the best Clash album. I guess Revolver is your favorite Beatles? I used to say that, but then I went through a period where I listened to them a lot and found that I preferred Rubber Soul.

But I don't have last.fm

But how did I know?

i just now got last.fm

>3x3, 4x4, 5x5

I don't have any of those on hand. Here's my top ten, though.

...

People are going to assume this is bait

Rubber Soul is a close second but it's neck and neck between those two.

I know.

in no particular order.

>more like this please, i'm on a binge of math rock/ noise duos hit me w more
Oh shit man, you really are.
I have a flowchart here, but I can also rec a few off the top of my head:
>Dakota Dakota
>Algernon Cadwallader
>Invalids
>You Slut!
>LITE
>The Speed of Sound in Seawater
>Wot Gorilla?
>The Continuous Battle of Order
>Marvins Revolt
>Pele
>Time Columns
>Their/They're/There
>Giraffes? Giraffes!
>And So I Watch You from Afar
>Mutiny on the Bounty

I assume you've heard of a lot of these, but when I was discovering math rock I was glad to find that there's a pretty deep bench of competent acts.

Ik mines pretty pleb.

Yeah, pretty pleb. I see that you are at least trying to venture into different genres of music, so that's a good sign. Is there a particular direction you are interested in exploring more right now?

I'm trying to get more into new wave right now, I mostly grew up listening to Southern rap and whatever dadrock my father was playing. I've started on the basic post-punk/new wave bands but it's entry-level at best right now.

Great, I think you'll find that a very rich avenue for exploration. The new wave is one of the inflection points of pop culture IMO, in that you will find it to have been influenced by almost everything that came before and to have been an influence on quite a bit of what came after.

Have fun listening to The Cure, Depeche Mode, Bowie, Joy Division and New Order, The Flaming Lips, Sonic Youth, and of course Elvis Costello.

I've already listened to most of Joy Division, New Order, and the Flaming Lips. I'll check out the other ones you said.

MOSAIC.WAV and Lulu damn are you my
