People say they like the first one more, and I completely disagree. The Moriarty v Holmes showdown is great.
Looking forward to the 3rd
John Nelson
Beautiful movie.
Nathaniel Reed
Obligatory.
I genuinely feel bad for people who saw it in theaters, the list of cut scenes was ridiculous.
Jonathan Peterson
>People say they like the first one more, and I completely disagree
What?
Carter Lee
Yeah, Jared Harris was damn good. I really hope they bring Sebastion Moran into the 3rd one, I loved that actor in the role.
Jason Brooks
I'm watching this right now, Batman is an unstoppable force in the movie.
Dominic Mitchell
This was a trip to watch. I don't even understand what the fuck is going on, but there is something brilliant in watching people monologue for 120 minutes intercut with brutal murders and Michael Fassbender saying Jesus Christ 5 times per minute.
Owen Johnson
It's great until 1:30 ish mark. Doesn't deserve such low ratings but 3rd act was poorly executed.
Anthony Jenkins
...
Landon Edwards
People say the first one is better. But I think the second one (as user posted) is better in almost all aspects. It's just more enjoyable as a whole, I don't understand the general preference for the first one.
Isaiah Bell
I completely agree. I did not understand the mass backlash for it. Richard Roeper was one of the few critics to love it. I wasn't bored by it at all and found it fascinating. My only real issue was Diaz, but that's mainly because I don't like her in the first place, but she was especially terrible in this. Jolie could've pulled it off better imo
Sebastian Gutierrez
RIPD, Speed Racer, MoS and BvS come to mind. I'm sure there are more if I actually checked what critics think.
Michael Hughes
The first one was better in respect to Holmes himself, as RDJ portrays him, anyway. But Game of Shadows was a better overall film with a strong supporting cast.
That's how I see it, anyway.
Leo Carter
Oh, also Waterworld and Super Mario Bros.
Aaron Hill
Eh, this list is kinda fucked >Watchmen, Cloud Atlas, War of the Worlds, Oblivion Definitely underappreciated critically >Master and Commander, Prestige Underappreciated by the public >Interstellar, Skyfall, Prometheus Only underappreciated on this board >Kingdom of Heaven Underappreciated *director's cut* >Freddy Got Fingered Just shit all around
Jacob Gomez
>RIPD eh, it wasn't good but wasn't complete shit. Just MIB with a new skin basically. >Speed Racer Never saw it desu, but I've heard it's not bad >MoS, BvS I liked both but they have a shit-ton of problems. Still need to see BvS ultimate cut. Watchmen's ultimate cut is GOAT so I'm optimistic
Owen Collins
Transformers: Age of Extinction is a masterpiece of obnoxious, dumb action movies, and I don't care what anyone says. I feel like all the negativity surrounding this movie is from butthurt manchildren who are mad it isn't exactly like their shitty, 30-year-old toy commercials, and morons who think being endlessly cynical makes them seem smart.
Austin Sanders
It's have to be this a shame as it was very clearly a passion project
Just watched the ultimate cut last night. It's really great. I was shocked by all the important stuff they cut. A lot of it fleshed things out and ties some of the characters and plots tighter together. A lot of great Superman moments were lost.
And Speed Racer is fun on a bun.

it got good scores but its still vastly underrated.
Anthony Jones
How many times did you see it? Because the first time I just thought it was fine, but on repeat viewings I grew to hate it.
The asian robot was beyond insufferable to hear. And the whorish product placement actually got to me like it did in the new Spiderman movies. Marky Mark opening the beer bottle for no fucking reason on the guy's car and drinking it was so fucking stupid, out of place, and clearly done for money. I grew to hate it without anyone's advice. It just wasn't good, and this is coming from someone who really likes 1 & 3.
Andrew Hughes
>Dobby's death ;_;
Leo Miller

I almost cried the last time I watched it

I know everything associated with this movie franchise is cancer but I genuinely enjoyed both the books and movies
Xavier Mitchell
The movies are top notch except goblet which I still enjoy. I havent read the books since i first did but for what they were I enjoyed them too. I like the films more, theres plenty worse cancer than wizard fantasy.
Owen Rodriguez
I love Goblet, Phoenix was the weakest for me.
Dominic Ward
I like yates. I think its great and much better but its all up to taste. I like the atmosphere of all of them though
Wyatt Russell
Books are better simply because the movies cut out so much.
Ryder Clark
i disagree on many many points. not only is a lot able to be cut in 5 and 6 but i felt more emotionally invested and liked the tone of the films, i think they got everything across from the books to make them all work as standalone films and part of a series. i dont compare them to the books, completely different medium with different necessities. i can find more enjoyment in the nuances of the filmmaking and acting. but thats me
Connor Miller
Post more shots of the gun, only part of that film I actually liked.
Leo Thomas
There was a lot to be cut. Deathly Hallows Part 1 is actually a great adaptation. DH is the only book besides possibly goblet that could have been split into two. Theres no midway point in OOTP and HBP to have a meaningful climax. Dobbys death works with the entire themes of the film, it actually has progression
Owen Murphy
As someone who read the books after the movies, I see your point but the essence of the series is how it all comes together and the books give you the full picture whereas the movies only focus on the main story of Harry. As you say both completely different mediums with different necessities.
IMHO I'm a book before film guy so my opinion is heavily biased towards literature.
Alexander Torres
...
Elijah Reed
Gotcha I enjoyed how they focused on harry more as the series goes on, I think it makes sense for the filmmaking you have to have some cohesion and not throw too much extras and other characters. This will always be the trouble with book adaptations, I think HP succeeded in telling the story of harry potter though and I felt the filmmakers did a lot to try and make it as dramatic and comedic or theatrical as they could
Evan Reyes

First one was better
Joseph Collins
I wanna say that's the point, but I'm not actually sure about that.
Jackson Carter
Literally a 10/10
Alexander Harris
interstellar was trash
Jeremiah Hughes
Its the fight with the devil doomsday that ruins everything. Wonder Woman isn't fun to watch, and what was Lex Luthor going to do with doomsday if Batman had decided to kill superman? Theres no off-switch to creation. At the same time watching goons knock other goons into buildings has its own value, even though batman has to hide himself for most of it
Justin Nelson

Aiden Myers
Loved it in the theaters, loved the Ultimate Edition. Zack was punished for not following Marvel's "rules" it's as simple as that.
Chase Myers
Someone likes Eva Green and MEW. Good taste.
Austin Clark
I don't buy into this waifu shit, but Eva Green is my waifu if I had to pick
Andrew Richardson
5.5/10 feels about right. maybe if it had someone other than tom cruise and some less generic or just edgier dialog it could have been a 7
Isaiah Powell
bad taste half of those films can go
Benjamin Watson
how do you dislike this movie
Leo Rodriguez
Suicide Squad
Ayden Taylor
you have to go back
Joseph Anderson
>Underappreciated by the public >Interstellar What? Everybody and their mother sucked that movies dick.

Xavier Scott
You didn't read the post correctly m8
Carson Wright
>Only underappreciated on this board My point is still valid.
Jeremiah Hall
The 7th book was awful. The films were better.
Ryder Jenkins
This board shits on it constantly. I personally love it, but I'm no longer a regular on this board so that's probably why.
Lincoln Harris
This movie right here. An absolute masterpiece in almost every way. The movie is the next step in slasher movies and I would even argue that's it's the greatest slasher movie ever made.
It's absolutely worth watching. The murders are all unique, the villain is iconic, the idea is genius, the protagonist isn't a boring one sided shit who can't think, the flow and structure is so good you feel as though you're watching a video game of an actual well made game of cat and mouse. And the police even get involved. It's just so good.
But if you're going to watch this movie, just immediately torrent it. Don't watch the trailers, don't check IMDB or even rottentomatoes because it spoils one of the cool twist about the movie which makes it unique. Take my word for it that it's great and watch it.
James Martinez
>I love this movie >dont support it in any way >torrent it ok
Anthony Perez
I've already bought the BD. Barely anyone seems to know about this movie.
Blake White
his "acting" is bland generic nothing. fine for stuff like mission impossible, but a poor choice for oblivion
Brayden Brown
He in no way harmed the film
Nathaniel Bailey
best Bond movie coming thru
Justin Cook
I was so deeply affected by this movie. I was thinking about for days after I saw it.
Tyler Morris
I thought it was kinda meh. What do you like about it?
Julian Bell
It touched on so many nice things, like the significance of life and death, and the nature of faith in a higher power. The movie begins with Neeson being a suicidal wreck who has nothing to live for, but because he's put in this situation he realizes that he wants to live after all. The fact that he draws courage from his memories with his father as a child is also very touching. The way that the stereotypical jerk in the beginning became such a likable guy by the end, you don't see that very often. Just the atmosphere and the soundtrack of the movie were excellent. And that scene where he tells the man in the plane that he is gonna die and that its okay is chilling. The problem was that it was marketed as an action movie when its really not. Its something else entirely. I cant blame the marketing team though. People want to buy tickets to see Liam Neeson punch a wolf, not to see something profound.
Nathaniel Cox
Oh fuck I 100% agree. Everyone who talks shit says "muh wolf punching, where is it??" Also they talk shit on the ending which I personally loved. It fit perfectly with the rest of the film. A big wolf fight would've actually taken away from the emotion of the last 20 minutes.
Go read Roger Ebert's review, it's very good. I love the film, honestly one of my favorites ever. Definitely hits a chord with me, Neeson was Oscar-worthy
Jayden Jones
agreed
Ian Sullivan
i need to rewatch this movie
Levi Hall
I like even the shittier bond movies so I may be biased, but ya I really enjoy Quantum. Nowhere near as God tier as Casino Royale, but still good.
Oliver Harris
>the scene where he tells the guy hes going to die and helps him accept it

Also >DO SOMETHING >IM CALLIN ON YA ... >Fuck it >I'll do it myself
Gets me every god damn time.

Xavier Garcia
>when you realise most poorly reviewed good movies have conservative themes or characters
the ultimate Sup Forums redpill
Brandon Harris
>the guy who takes his advice later and lets his daughter lead him to death I was not expecting these feels today I think the ending was fitting. The ambiguity helps the movie a lot. Imo it was never about whether he was going to live or die. It was about the hopelessness of his situation and how he reacted to it. Neeson's performance was spectacular, especially when he was stacking the wallets on the ground. Also the scene where they reveal how his wife "left him" was so subtle and well done. It adds even more emotional impact for me because Neeson filmed the movie after his wife died. He must have been drawn to the story because of that.
Noah Roberts
>good movies maybe like 5 of them
William Turner
Y E S
oh my GOD, that Frobisher storyline absolutely kills me every single time.
Immaculate score. I adore this movie.
Chase Hernandez
Exactly. It's a masterpiece. It actually pains me to hear people talk shit on this film. They completely misunderstood it. This is also the movie that put Frank Grillo on the map for me. He was so damn good along with Neeson. It's hard to believe that the guy who did smokin aces (which I love desu) did The Grey. I love talking about it, but I swear very few people seem to "get" it.
David Carter
smokin aces is another underrated film
Noah Williams
Are you me?
My dad dragged me to John Carter since he liked the old books and I had zero interest. I came out so fucking satisfied, way more than him even. I love it.
Oblivion I totally agree, M83 killed it with that soundtrack. The title song is so fucking good, I still listen to it often. Tom Cruise really can't do wrong by me anymore. He is one of the greatest gifts to scifi, plus he seems like such a fun friendly dude. I'm glad this board generally appreciates this film as much as me.
Noah Stewart
Bruh that's almost word for word how I explain this film to people. Especially the bit about his wife. That's what kills me about this film. With that in mind, you can clearly see that Neeson almost isn't acting in some of the scenes. The "do something" scene might be my favorite bit of his from the film altogether.
It's a damn shame the general public couldn't appreciate the emotional journey and instead just wanted Wolffighter: The Film. Thats what I expected it to be, but was so pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be what it was. It's easily in my personal Top 5.
Wyatt Cooper
makes no sense. underapreciated when? time of its release? if so how do we measure? box office? critics?
