Bump

user...
BBC is a broadcasting company. It's not merely a television broadcaster. It didn't even start as one.

>new

If you've got a studio recording feel free to post it any time, user. I'l wait...

Would someone be able to post the track here when it comes out?

I can't record it but someone else probably will. Someone on the Radiohead subreddit will definitely post it there.

Bump

Little less than an hour to go

Radiohead hasn't made interesting music for over a decade

But the king of limbs and the singles for that came out in 2011 that was only 6 years ago

good news! this song is well over a decade old.

That's because you don't like AMSP

and that's because you're a fucking faggot

^

3 minutes

2 MINUTES!!!

The song that is playing currently is pretty fantastic, actually.

...

I'm ready

Here we go.

OH SHIT

:DDDD

nostalgia

>even when you lock me up I promise

...

dat voice

hahahahahaha is this it its so fucking bad hahahahah

...

I like it

I have missed hearing the mellotron in Radiohead songs.

[OKC sounds]

This is really good hot damn

really good desu

Fuck this could have been on the Bends it's so lush

Very simple but still really good.

Just got a link for the song emailed to me.

That sounded more like The Bends than OK computer.

The drums remind me of little drummer boy, but it's okay because it's a good song

Nice nice

Embedded album art.

Converted it to flac from wav, made no other changes (it's still 24-bit):

There's a slip at 0:35

Nope.

Plays fine here.

I'm not hearing that

Yeah, I redownloaded and its gravy. All good now

Does this date back to the OKC sessions? I really like it. I like the marching band strumming pattern it has, it makes it feel like a funeral march.

Yeah it does, some more info here: citizeninsane.eu/music/okc/ipromise.html

...

Sound's like fucking coldplay

specifically? I can't think of a Coldplay song like that.

Predates Parachutes by 4 whole years.

Coldplay sounds like this.

That's the reason they didn't release this and Lift. It would've made them too popular, and we all know their reaction to Creep...

WHAT THE HELL AM I DOIN' HERE?

i don't belong here....

Would have been better left unreleased.

thanks for the upload. I appreciate your altruism

fuck that was disappointing!

damn good, but I can see why they left it out on OK Computer. doesn't really fit the oppressive vibe that OKC has. those anons who are saying it's more like The Bends are right, but for me, that's a good thing

That was great

Yeah I completely get why it wasn't on OKC despite it being great.
I really would have fit well somewhere on the bends

personally, i think it wouldn't have fit on OKC, but it definitely could have been on the bends

It wasn't really any different than listening to an old live version.

God bless you m8

radiohead is my favourite band but i've never listened to it before. i don't listen to live versions of unreleased songs, otherwise i would have already heard 6 of the 11 songs on A Moon Shaped Pool when it came out and that would kind of suck. when they break up or die or whatever i'll have all these unreleased songs that i can listen to for the first time

Wow, it's literally nothing.

This.

Eh, not really feeling it. Pretty obvious why it was never released.

Not really, Coldplay has way better hooks than whatever this song is trying to do.

I was really hoping it would be slow and somber. Like you're on your knees and begging for a girl to forgive you, but instead we got this little drummer boy shit.

Just listen to em m8. They're probably never gonna record what's left.

Also the old versions of Identikit and True Love Waits were better than the Moon Shaped Pool versions. Ful Stop arguably too.

while i have a bunch of radiohead shits here id like some help
youtube.com/watch?v=Ae0zSbi-WKg
what is this? anybody know where it came from? i found it on youtube and it sounds like kid amnesiac era shit but i dont remember it in any of the singles or ep's

That's not Radiohead lol

It was used on the DVD 'the most gigantic lying mouth of all time' which means it was probably produced somewhere in-between Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief.

wow it smells sweaty and unemployed in here

what?

Hahahahaha wtf you're retarded.

i really like the way it sounds even if what says is true
ive been looking online and i cant find anywhere that radiohead actually wrote it, just that its part of the credits

I have the DVD so give me a few minutes and I'll check and see if it says anything about it being written by someone else for you.

Turns out it is indeed a song by Radiohead. Your best bet for similar content is probably the b-sides from Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief

interesting
thanks for the help

great shit, I prefer it to the version we got on How Am I Driving

??? I Promise wasn't on How Am I Driving

yeah you're right I just associate it with all the b sides and loosies of that era

I always confused it with A Reminder I think, I forgot I Promise even existed until the tracklist came out for this

yeah I probably did that too

where were you when Thom became the leader of the free world

HAHAHAHAHAHA

love radiohead but this song isn't very good.

can see why it was never released.

MOST
GIGANTIC
LYING
MOUTH
OF
ALL
TIME

i'd honestly recommend Tim Hecker if you like how that sounds. try out Radio Amor or Hormony in Ultraviolet.

Full on retard

Wow trump btfo

Would be a great Bends b-side. Probably wouldn't work on the album proper. Doesn't sound OKC-y.

I like it for what it is; an unreleased Radiohead song they didn't release for a reason.

It's nothing special, love Thom's vocals in this one.
