heres mine. I produced, recorded, and mixed this. I'm primarily concerned with how my mix turned out from other ears. Will return feedback on SC or on here
Thanks man, I was really sad when i wrote that so i wrote it to cheer me up
Cameron Harris
"Sour D" has such a chill beat. The rapper featured isn't that great though. Nonetheless, the beat is fire! I love how you just have fun with music. Awesome style. Awesome sounds, still listening to the rest of the songs
Jack Collins
thanks, you got some really cool and heavy trap stuff, i like it a lot. your ludwig track is really well put together and clean
appreciate that man, yours is cool as fuck too. it's nice and upbeat but there's a unique vibe to it for sure.
thanks dog! that means a lot! just listened to yours - you weren't kidding when you said justin vernon-esque. the first track sounds amazing.. those wide background vocals are executed perfectly. keep it up

Got somewhat new single from our upcoming debut I'm mixing. I think it'll be out within the month
>psychedelic, rock, indie, noise, jazz, experimental
soundcloud.com/vhsvibes > guitar demos, indie tunes >house >hip hop idk what i make at this point --------- will be making revision post in a few as usual : )
hey that was pretty nice, i really liked the synth sound choice and especially the chord progression. I also like how you configured the reverb. Keep it up! i felt like you didn't put anything in the track that didn't need to be there. everything had it's place.
Woah!!! what'?? Is this a sample or your original? Did you record/play the instruments on here? I don't get the context.Honestly it sounds fantastic. It's very 'musical' and it's like it's speaking to me trough the groove. It's well arranged and the only thing I would maybe add is some sort of flute solo or something like that over the second half to make it a bit more progressive. Great sound
providing feedback/making friends/reposting/all that good shttuff on soundcloud!

Thanks a lot bud, I really appreciate the love and feedback. I pulled samples of the keys, horns and cut up the drums from a few different songs then played bass and the marimba sounding line myself!
Chase Morgan
keep it up, you really put it together well, i thought it was a band.

been trying to work on live performance skills. how are these sounding?
Welcome Starts of really beautifully When it gets to part where its single strums starting with “Welcome to the show” I don’t really like how stark it all is. The harmony that comes in is helpful but I think the song is missing something.
Galveston Love the country guitar that comes in. The end of this track really shines.
Beautiful Maybe the best song on the album. Only thing I would change is in a couple of spots when you are singing really high it sounds slightly too loud and it’s kind of grating. Love the lyrics. Reminds me of Neil Young actually.
Bermuda rust Love the contrast to the rest of the album thus far. Keeps it fresh. Again this track has old country influences. I think it’d be really cool if you added feedback to a couple of spots on this one. It would really fit.
The Sparrow Song This is goddamn feral isn’t it. Like tribal. To be honest this one doesn’t really do it for me. I find it a bit too long with the instrumental at the end because it doesn’t really go anywhere. Sounds like a band practice.
Shadow Boxes Wow this is ethereal. I’m really digging this one. The first half of this song might be the best thing on the album. Not a huge fan of the long instrumental second half and the singing at the end.
Cherubic Barbarians This is way more straight forward than the rest of the album. I like how you keep changing it up. Bass really carries this track. The end of this track with all the weird harmonies really shines. Love this one.
Ocean on the Peak Channeling Sufjan, love the beat on this one. Again your voice reminds me of Neil Young here.
So Long Like the guitar part but the singing on the beginning of this particular one isn’t doing it to me. The part is way too high to sing in that octave and it sounds like youre singing in your nose. The second half where you drop an octave sounds 1000% better.
Overall I give the album 7/10

Also I forgot to mention that the album art is absolutely hideous. It's gotta go for real.

For some reason I can't access your page to pm you but I really love your production. However, I would be disingenuous if I said I liked the vocals at all. I'd try out a different aesthetic for them, because I don't think inherently your performance is bad or lyrics, but the effect you have is grating. Also I feel like your production could be crazier but you're reserving it so you can get the lyrics across. I feel like you could do both. This me

alternative rap with an emphasis on lyrics. my second 9 track tape, released it 3 days ago, very proud of this one as I feel that it's a solid improvement over my first. happy to be steadily finding/developing my own sound (but will be working with different types of production soon).
>drums sound like an out-of-phase artifact-filled mp3 >everything is in mono except the reverb >mix is unbalanced
Bentley Wright
Yeah wish I could have done more about that. It was an online collaboration. I took the guitar and drums and cleaned them up (the original audio was much worse) and Solo's with my mandolin over it. All in all I'm pretty happy with it all things considered
