Why couldn't WB just piggyback off of the Nolan Batman movies to kickstart the DCEU?

Why couldn't WB just piggyback off of the Nolan Batman movies to kickstart the DCEU?

They TRIED. That's why Nolan is credited on Man of Steel and BvS. He had nothing to do with them, but WB probably cut him a fat check to use his name. It's pretty obvious that WB was counting on Nolan to be the Bravo Joss of the DC Cinematic Universe, but after making a Batman trilogy, Nolan was probably tired of capeshit.

>Nolan just credited on Man of Steel but didn't do anything
Nah. Him and his brother did alot of work on the script. Hence why the Superman character is shit in Man of Steel but actually a proper character in Batman v Superman

Could they have at least gotten Christian Bale or was he also tired of Batman?

DC saw that Affleck was a much better casting

because then you'd get questions like "where was superman when bane was holding an entire city hostage?"

>Superman character is shit in Man of Steel but actually a proper character in Batman v Superman
oh boy...

>actually a proper character in BVS

Superman was exactly the same in both films, Cavil is a fine fit for the roll but they are yet to give him anything actually interesting to do in any film so far.

Nolan was against Superman killing Zod, but Snyder just laughed and said "Do you even lift, faggot?"

>Superman character is shit in Man of Steel but actually a proper character in Batman v Superman
wew lad

Based Nolan is based.
>Then Batman kills the bad guy and says "Nothing personnel kid!", said Zack.

>so you came to die with your city?
>no, I came here to stop you

Fucking pissed me off.

>No, I came to take it back.

God damn, that's not a difficult fix

Nolan is responsible for most of the furst act of MoS, which is why its so good

Because Nolan's entire trilogy only exists because he was consistently fighting against the studio's desire to launch a DCEU and have that interfere with the plans for his movies and keeping them grounded.

He wasn't gonna return for TDKR or produce MoS unless WB agreed to let him wrap it up so it had nothing to do with the eventual DCEU cancer (and it still ended up being shit because his heart wasn't in it after Heath's death).

Batman didnt came to die or "taking" back the city since he already planed to leave and let the authorities handle it

With the ending of TDKR you wouldn't have batman anymore.

>TDKR was bad
when this meme finally die?

He came to take it back from Bane and then leave.

Because the last movie of the Nolan trilogy was purposely designed to prevent itself from being part of a DCEU.

its the worst of the three not bad but not really good. just fair.

you know those textbook ratings

yep

The DCEU should of started with Batman Begins. After that TDK would be a good follow up. After that MoS should have been released that same year. Later they should of made a good Green Lantern movie but have it set in space so it doesn't interfere with what is happening on Earth. Then the next year they would release BvS, then
SS. That would have been phase 1.
Phase two would of kick started with the WW film(have it set like a prequel like its doing now) then a good DKR film. After that Justice League would come out.

Nolan wanted out of capeshit so he could create his next masterpiece.
