>6÷2(2+1)
>3(2+1)
>(6+2)
8 I think...

cant be awnsered. Good joke tho

...

>3(2+1)
>(6+2)
What the fuck is wrong with you?

Answer is 9, but understanding intentionally ambiguous syntax isn't clever.

It's fucking nine

>6÷2(2+1)
>6÷2(3)
>3x3
9, the answer is 9 faggots.

i kek'd.
Either bait or vegetable.

9

Here you go. Pick whichever answer you like.

Fuck sakes its 9

the answer is 1 you fucking retarded people

1 is not correct.

According to oder of operations, division and multiplication have the same precedence, so you go from left to right.

Fekkin' numero uno

6+2 clearly equals 8 you spaatic

Then ignore the first answer and use 9.

Also take a math class higher than 9th grade.

6 * 1/2 * 3

1 isn't correct. A division symbol does not mean the entire expression to the right of the symbol is the divisor, as that goes against the order of operations.

It was only adopted as an exception in older times because it was harder to print as a numerator over a denominator than it was to print a division symbom inside of a textbook. This is now archaic usage and it's wrong.

You actually can't pick whichever you like. The operands of the divide operation are 6 and 2, not 6 and (2(2+1)).

6+3 not 6+2.

You can take whatever answer you like. It is given in an ambiguous way in order to troll the thread.

Whether you see it as 6 divided by 2 times the sum of 1 and 3 giving you 9
Or as 2(1+3) as a separate term. giving 6 divided by the whole term of 2 times the sum of 1 and 3 which gives you one.

This is why past like middle school math we stop using the division sign.

TLDR: OP is trolling you.

It doesnt matter if OP is trying to troll. He's failing because 9 is the only actual answer. You're a god damn degenerate if you think anything else.

9 is the correct answer.

Any other is a failure at math

I'm going with 8.

Thats just like your opinion man. this is why we don't use division signs. And why you don't mix division signs with parentheses

Put a multiplication sign between 2 and (1+2) and the whole thing changes.

as written it is both 1 and 9 depending on if you take 2(1+2) as a term divided by six. or six halves multiplied by (1+2)

9

You literally can't do it as 6/(2 (2+1)). That is mathematically incorrect. Just because divisions signs are retarded doesn't mean that they don't have a defined usage.

Don't you have to follow the rules of BIMDAS? So it would be:
6÷2(1x2)
6÷6
>Is 1

I am still using the division sign as it is defined.

I just see 2(1+2) as a whole term rather than two parts.

again, written by a retard who doesn't know that these things can be ambiguous.

Implying you can just pick how you want math to work. I think I'm just gonna go ahead and throw out multiplicatioms distributive property while we're at it, never been a fan of that one.

That would be BEDMAS retard...division comes before multiplication.

The answer is 9 stop being stupid.

>I just see 2(1+2) as a whole term rather than two parts.
this is where you fail to understand mathematics. it's not ambiguous and you're the retard

Division doesn't come before multiplication, they the exact same precedence. In the case they are at the same time it is to be done from left to right.

Except it is, that's why the division sign is like that you moron

The problem with stupid people is they just dont get they're stupid.

You solve the parentheses, after that you progress through the equasion normally. The operator precedence is parentheses, multiplications, additions. Between the first number 2 and the opening parenthesis is a multiplication so it goes from left to right. God damn i fucking hate people

It's ambiguous

It's not 6 + 2 you autist.

i think it's
>6÷2(1+2)
>6÷(2+1)
>3+1
4

did anyone ever actually attend middle school?
its 9
6÷2(1+2)
6÷2(3)
3(3)
9

...

I know right. These people...

Obvious bait.

the 2(3) counts as a Parenthesis/Brackets operation therefore precedes the division

wrong. its the bracket's contents only

openssl

this

hope u are trolling,kid.

HAHA TROLLED XD

: )

my eyes were in pain

>6÷2(1x2)
>(1x2)
are u blind?

Please
Excuse
My
Dear
Aunt
Sally

There's your order of operation, dumbass.

I got 7
>6÷2(1+2)
>6÷2+4
>3+4
>=7
Classic filename

Cerber 3

Where the fuck did you get 4 from?

yes

I got order of operations wrong
I expanded 2(1+2) into 2x1 + 2x2
When I was supposed to add up what was in the brackets first
So the answer is 9

BODMAS YOU FUCKING DUMB CUNT

Ok so riddle me this
Let's assume we don't know the value of both numbers in the brackets.
1 is a and 2 is b
How would you go on then?
What I learned is:
2(a+b) -> 2a + 2b
So why don't you do this then?
2(1+2) -> 2*1 + 2*2

I got 1.
I solved the 2 in front of the (1+2) first which gave me 6 then divided by the first number 6 which gave me 1.
