>You really put the fun in funeral.

What did Missy mean by this?

One of cats hooded eyes face pics in the OP

Thanks, N8. Who's your Doctor?

neat hat

Well? We're all waiting for you to do your little Great Intelligence role-play. What are you waiting for?

It's your fanfic, you tell me.

>/who/ presents:
DOCTOR WHO: SHIT TRIPS Vol. 1
- The Anthology -

>Are you a true fan of Doctor Who?
>Have you ever written down a sequence of words?

If the answer is yes or no, then you are ready to contribute a literary masterpiece to the first ever /who/ collection of original Doctor Who-based short fiction.
/who/ is finally making its unique mark in an age-old tradition of p̶a̶c̶k̶a̶g̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶f̶a̶n̶f̶i̶c̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶g̶e̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶i̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶m̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶a̶i̶r̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶l̶e̶g̶i̶t̶i̶m̶a̶c̶y̶ / celebrating the magic of Who and the talent of a community.

There are no limits (except the story must be at least 1 word long, and preferably not in excess of 10,000, it's short fiction you fuck).

>- Can involve any Doctor(s), companion(s), side characters, spinoff characters and beyond, as your heart desires
>- Can be in any style, whether it's "legitimate writing", "pisstake", or "shitpost".
>- Can be about absolutely anything
>- The main focus is on good fun in the vein of the wiki, although serious entries are allowed. (If you're going to write smut, maybe approach it with a degree of levity)

Stuck for ideas? Try starting with your favourite TARDIS team (or for timeliness, 12/Clala) and one of these authentic titles:
saberpunk.net/DoctorWho/DoctorWhoSerialGenerator.php
glyphobet.net/drwho
And free scenario prompts:
games.usvsth3m.com/drwho/

We are going to be starting an index on the wiki for the collection. Anyone can contribute, no signups/pitches required. If you have ideas, feel free to broadcast them. So far we are looking at at least 10 submissions and there is always room for more.
The rest is self-explanatory. Format for uploading your work is up to you, as long as it can be conveniently copied across (and ideally don't dump long texts in /who/ directly).

Anyone who wants to do illustrations or comics is encouraged.

Remember, it doesn't have to be good. Just have fun!

What's the pressure?

No answer, of course. Typical mongo.

We have these entries as confirmed and completed:

>Security Protocols (12)

>The Hybrid (12/Bill)

>Entrusted To Me (Jack with Amy)

>The Dalek Killers (Ace, Abslom Dalek, Nine)

>Vast Cathedral (No Doctors. Referencing an abandoned TARDIS)

>Why Jack Was Late To The Battle of Demon's Run (Jack Harkness)

>Spatiality (Eighth Doctor and companions/ Fifth Doctor and companions
>Sgt. Pink's Big Day In by Guy Biggs

>Lost Weekend

> Wasting Time (Ben Saunders)

> White In Their Eyes

>A Decent Cup Of Coffee

Keep them coming!

...

Is anyone doing a Seven story yet?

The Whites In Their Eyes is a 7 story.

We still need 6 (can i post Stone Revolution up yet?) , 1, 2, 4, and 11 stories.

He's kinda tangential to the story, so he could be any one. Might just leave it ambiguous.

Cool.

We also need a War story.

I still want a Female Doctor story.

Also, we now have 2 seperate pieces of Danny/Rigsy smut in our anthology.

>my 2014 fantasy is now getting fictions 2 years later
Did I start this ship?

They are all short fics.

Also, do you like Skin Diamond? Cuz she kinda shows up in a future entry.

Better a short fic than no focus at all am I right? When will these babies come out?

I'm not sure exactly when. Our deadline hasn't been set, and we're still getting entries. Be patient.

Twelve's been getting a lot of entries. We don't have a lot of companions, tho.

What about my story?

12 only has 2? That's not a lot.

You don't plan on editing any of the Google Drive files do you? Because if that's the case I don't see much point waiting and we might as well just put the links on the wiki page so people can see it coming together.

The Coffee story is a Twelve story. As is the Why Fight story. So that's 4, not counting the 2 Danny/Rigsy stories, as well as the Clara one.

It's been added.

I was thinking of putting them in one big PDF when they're all together. And I do edit them a smidgin.

>tfw no Great Intelligence corrupting /who/ fic

Then you should write it. It doesn't have to be good, just have fun!

>the Clara one
What's that now?

>Abslom Dalek
This triggers me every time I read it. It's Abslom DAAK.

>/who/ has literally become fanfiction general
No more.

Putting them in a big PDF when they're all done is a great idea, especially if someone does a cover image, I just think since most of them are already publicly posted via Pastebin it's not much use keeping them secret before then.

That must have been autocorrect or me writing it without thinking. sorry.

DrChisE's fic.

Why not write a fic? Join the fun.

It's been a fanfiction series for about 30 years.

>Wasting Time (Ben Saunders)
Sick I didn't know I was a companion

What happened to Why Fight? Was it too shit

I've written some in-TARDIS banter between 4 and Sarah about belly buttons and looms to open a story, but I don't have a plot for them to then go into

The clara fic takes place during Night of the Doctor

Just do what Hinchcliffe did and rip off the last horror movie you watched.

It was a minor skirmish by /who/'s blood-soaked standards. Not exactly the Time War, but enough to finish it. In the end, it was too much for the old general.

I added it. I'm just been crap with listing all the fics I added.

>Security Protocols (12)

>The Hybrid (12/Bill)

>Entrusted To Me (Jack with Amy)

>The Dalek Killers (Ace, Abslom Dalek, Nine)

>Vast Cathedral (No Doctors. Referencing an abandoned TARDIS)

>Why Jack Was Late To The Battle of Demon's Run (Jack Harkness)

>Spatiality (Eighth Doctor and companions/ Fifth Doctor and companions
>Sgt. Pink's Big Day In by Guy Biggs

>Lost Weekend

> Wasting Time (Ben Saunders)

> White In Their Eyes

>A Decent Cup Of Coffee

>Virus: Annihilation (Clara)

>Why Fight (12/ Jenny)

what's this now ?

Who is Vast Cathedral actually about, are there characters in it?

Tell that to the leader of the genderfluid geniuses Claudia, or Adam the set reporter, or Girly Letters, or Jon Blum. /who/ lives its life in darker hues, day upon day, and it will have other names before the end: the Storm, the Beast, the Valeyard.

Closest thing I remember watching to a horror movie was The Boston Strangler, which could be interesting, actually.

Sick. Her name is Jennifer or Jen, she's supposed to be OC [and throwaway]

It's a poem, about an empty TARDIS. So no characters.

Prediction for the Christmas special:

Fade from black to white. Nothing is visible. Is the episode frozen? Should I turn off the telly? But, wait, there is something. Something is moving towards the screen from the deep white plane. It's moving carefully. Methodically. It is practiced and refined.

As the figure comes closer, it also becomes familiar. It is the ghost of Peter Capaldi, bitter with age even in the afterlife.

"My child, you have forgotten your purpose. You are far from the path of your destiny."

"No Peter," I say, "I will not become what you want me to be. I am free from the chains of your old tradition."

"You cannot escape it," he says, as his old face grows hard and cold. His skin tightens, his teeth extend, and his eyes become black holes that whistle when the wind blows through. His twisted skeleton reaches a hand through the screen and grabs me. He crawls through the television, slinking and crunching his monstrous form into the physical world. But I am stronger than him. His bones become dust and are swept away, out of sight, as if they were never there. He is gone again, for now.

I know. I was being both lazy, and slightly facetious.

Thank you. Made the--wait a second. Does that make it an Eight question?

Is there a character/word limit? I've never written anything before and have a feeling that my characterization is going to suck, and that the subjects will be the character in name only and its going to be just sophomoric smut. I haven't started writing yet and only have an idea really for a scene and not much of a story and absolutely have no idea how to end it. I also need to do a little research for verbiage or continuity references. How many NSFW entries are there, and is there a line to be drawn as far as fetish or kink? Should I just forget about this one and try and come up with a non pornographic idea?

We might make minor edits before then. However, I don't want to lose the mystique.

Just freaking write Cloister. Believe in yourself. And if it's too many words, I'll let you know.
If all you can write is a scene, that's good enough. Just write.

Peter Capaldi isn't a human, he walks in eternity.

This is the second time I saw a reference to Limmy's show on here.

In /who/?

No, on Sup Forums.

Anyone else updating their writing?

I have a classic opening scene where somebody gets murdered, and some banter between 4 and Sarah in the TARDIS, and now I'm writing them coming out of the TARDIS and discovering the murder.

I don't know where to go from here. I'm trying to go through Hinchcliffe eps in my head and think about how they advanced the plot. They had a lot more running time to do it in as well

I'm mostly concerned it will be too short, but ok. I really wish I had a sounding board. There's a couple/few ways I could go with things and either is inherent to the storyline/era, either having unique technological solutions to a "problem". I need a 3 sided coin or something of that effect.
Speaking of limmy. I'd love to read a fic with DeeDee as companion. I couldn't ever write one. I couldnt possibly write dialog out phonetically for him without my head exploding.

Have them just get onto figuring out the murder.

Make us a sounding board. What's your ideas?

Oh man what an idea, I'm writing DeeDee into my story as a throwaway character right now (which doesn't affect you being able to use him in any way)

Well yes that's the logical next step

The story isn't going to have much in it aside from that "problem" and it's solution. The one solution seems a bit more tempting because the object in question is already phallic in shape and this object isn't available to the doctor/companion I was originally going to write for, presumably, or at least to my best knowledge, however has other useful uh "props" for the body of the story. i'm really rather torn. I can say canon be damned and just give the doctor this object that he probably isn't supposed to yet have maybe but my autism isn't having it. Sorry I'm trying to be vague as to not give anything away.
He's all yours, I'm interested to read it. Writing Glaswegian in text is way outside of my realm.

When the fuck is Class coming out?

I just realised the story I'm writing right now is naturally coming to an "end of episode one cliffhanger".

Cloister is right when he says it's not the problem, it's the solution. I don't know where to go from here.

Okay. What's the dramatic conflict? Like, why is the person who committed the murder, trying to stop something? Or to get money? Tell me what the conflict is in spoiler text, please.

he's been posessed by the need for dramatic development. The plot has taken a hold of him. I need to work out what caused the infection, how they discover it, and how they stop whoever is behind it

Hey at least you've gotten to a cliffhanger. You can always think about a resolution until "Shit trips: Volume 2 in the loo" comes out.
I'm stuck before I can start.

Cloister. I want to free write a story. Don't think about a plot, just write. Start now, please.

I've got Ideas i'm just settling on them and over analyzing until I do. It's just how I process. I know where i'm going to go, its just a matter of how I get there. There are things in my notes that are going to write themselves. If anything these self conflicts im having will lead to another story in the same vein.

Okay. But I want you to free-write right now.

A few paragraphs. Right now.

That's pretty much how I'm doing it. Just write what comes to your head immediately. Just get it down. Write and write and write, even if it's shite. You can always edit it later. Practice makes perfect etc

There are two good stories in the whole of series 9.

that's nice dear

that's p cool m8

Thanks for the input bud

I've got the murder, the discovery and the cliffhanger of episode one all written, as well as discovery of the villian and the ending of episode two. Now I just need to connect the two.

Nice!

Hey Cloister, how are you doing?

Writing 2,000 words of fiction is hard aaaaaaa

Yeah, it is. You can do it, tho. It'll be over before you know it.

Here is "episode one" of my story featuring Four and Sarah.

pastebin.com/ah0gu5g7

How about you never post here again? And tell your brother I said "good job."

Can you buy Capaldis Hoodie?

Stop that.

Nice job!

I doubt it. I don't think celebrities sell their personal clothing very often unless it's like some charity event or something.

Ok, I will never post here ever again after this post

I mean like was it a custom made jacket or something you can buy.

>no tripcode
Too good to be true, but I guess we can always dream.

I really doubt he made it himself, m8.

Okay, the character with the accent was hilarious.

Thanks, it's actually the character Dee Dee from Limmy's Show that Cloister mentioned.

Also holy shit the sentence at the end of that paragraph is an absolute senseless mess. Reminder to proofread your work, people (editing now)

Bunk, put your trip back on, please. It makes it easier for me, if I need to search your posts for entries.

I've become averse to tripping over the years but sure, I can see it getting confusing. I'm going to work on chapter 5 whenever i get my energy back.

I love inventing words for prose, turning a verb into a noun to create in interesting desciprion of someone.

It is a wonderful thing.

>implying Peter Capaldi is a tailor
Is this bait?

>put your trip back on
Don't encourage him.

It actually serves a purpose, in this context

Do you have my fanfic?
