I'm going to Panama in 2 weeks. gib tips

What will you be doing? Staying in the city? Going to beaches?

>Staying in the city? Going to beaches?

Yes to both. But I have no concrete plans, my buddy got us tickets for 300 euros which is insanely cheap, so we kind of booked without looking into it. As I have exams in 2 weeks (>JUST) I kind of gave my friend the task of picking out places to go.

We will also go to Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Initially we wanted to go to Colombia but apparently going from Panama to Colombia is fucking impossible by car which bummed me out

take notepad and write everything think about the country. once you go back home, you can tell us if panama is 1st worlder or not.

that or just dont be an autist and have a good time

Dis negro didn't into Darien lmfao

>The area surrounding the border with Colombia is known as the Darién Gap, a large swath of undeveloped swampland and forest.

JUST HOW? Fucking amazing that Central America and South America still aren't connected..

any case, do you have any tips on places for me to visit in Panama?

also, sorry to ask but.. how qt are panamanian grills?

that's because central america and caribean are north america's problems (except panama, they are cute)

I hope Evo goes to war wirh Chile and Chile finally annexes all of Bolivia.

nice

wtf i love chile now

There are cute panamanian girls, but do not expect top tier girls. In general panamanian girls are not very good looking (for latin standards). Nevertheless, we have lots of colombian and venezuelan girls.

Have a chery picked panamanian

thanks mate

a-any tips in terms of sights, cities, foods, things to do or not do, ec?

The most important part and the one that produces almost all of the GDP is the interoceanic region (Around the canal):
>Provinces of Panamá, Colón, and Panamá Oeste.
>The canal.
>Logistic hub (Ports in both oceans, Train that connects both ports, Highway that connects both oceans)
>Hub de las Americas (Aeropuerto de Tocument, home of Copa Airlines)
>Financial services (Financial center with more than 90 banks)
>Only mayor city in the country (Ciudad de Panamá)
>More than half of the population lives here.

Coclé:
>Cool province with somewhat mountainous regions and nice beaches.
>Penonomé is the capital of the province with somewhat cool weather.
>Antón is near the beaches. The Valle de Antón is a small town with a mountainous weather.
>Natá and Aguadulce are other important towns in the province.

Azuero:
>Provinces of Herrera and Los Santos are the more Hispanic with a population of mainly European ancestry.
>The economy here is based on livestock.
>Even thought, with the exception of a few towns, life is rural; standards of living are pretty high here.
>Chitré, capital of Herrera, is the biggest city in Azuero.
>La Villa de Los Santos is small town in Los Santos with great historical importance.
>Las Tablas, capital of Los Santos.
>Pedasí is a very touristic town with beautiful beaches.
>Guararé is another interesting town in Los Santos.

Veraguas:
>Only province with two oceans.
>They have mountainous regions.
>They have a lot of livestock going on here.
>It´s capital and largest town is Santiago.
>Second largest town is Soná
>San Francisco de la Montaña is a small town in mountainous Veraguas, with a beautiful baroque church.

Chiriquí:
>Best highlands in the country.
>David, the capital, is one of the biggest towns outside the interoceanic region.
>Some mountain towns include Boquete, Cerro Punta, and Volcán
>They used to have a railroad network, but not anymore.

Boca del Toro:
>They have some of the best beaches.
>Beautiful islands. 10/10 must visit.
>Also used to have a railroad network, but not anymore.

Darien and the comarcas:
>Don not go in here.
>Except for Kuna Yala. The beaches are worth it.

thanks a lot lad, saved

For historical sites in Panamá city go to:
>Panamá Viejo
>Casco Antiguo
Other things you should do while in the city are:
>Go to Cerro Ancon for a good view of the city and the canal.
>Visit the Miraflores Locks visitor center.
>Go to the Calsada de Amador and visit the Biomuseo.

Thanks, appreciated, will certainly use this

Going to the Atlantic side can be worth it. But, held in mind that Colón(The mayor city in the atlantic coast of Panamá) is not as save as the capital. So be more causions arownd there.
Any way. In Colón you can visit:
>Portobelo

>San Lorenzo Fort

You can rent a car in the capital and get there in 45min via hightway.
Or use the transistmic railway.

your welcome.

>Casco Antiguo
