So guys, let's talk a bit - what's the music you're currently working on look like? What have you been listening to lately that's been influencing it?
I've been listening to a lot of old Murder By Death (one of my all time favorites) and The Angelic Process, esp Weighing Souls With Sand. Naturally, new shit is looking like some doomy country gazey mess.

STRONG RECS:
Can't answer the first question since I haven't done anything new since that newest release. But I was listening to a lot of Red House Painters, Sun Kil Moon and Japan lately. So maybe that.
Oh, pxlsequence too
much love, mate
Do you listen to Grouper or Giles Corey? Was hearing a lot of similar stuff to that, funnily enough. Never got into Sun Kil for some reason
>BEats
>ANd electronic shit
To Grouper - constantly. Especially "Ruins". I don't like Giles though. I remember him having a nice stylistic with a weak balance. Though I listened to him a while back so it's hard to say whether I would enjoy him more now.

Hi there! :D
Not sure what to answer on the first one. For influences, I guess Tycho's Awake is guiding my boat right now.

Buddies:
Yesterday I was looking at my youtube feed and found this shit youtube.com
I now understand when people says that they want to quit making music. seeing this annoying bullshit poppin' top 15 on itunes makes me wanna puke.
I believe that "honest" art is almost dead in this modern era, I'm just a shitty piano player but if you just take a look at these artists for example:
these guys are insanely talented, and I can bet my wife that they will reach nothing.
Its fucking sad man, and I cant do nothing to change it.
LIVE BABY LIVE
you know these threads need more memes
I feel like we need more funny content if we want to be able to survive in these 4cahn waters
this is really good, dude
#
I feel you. I guess there's really no way around it except to care very little about "making it" and just keep making art you love. There's plenty of good artists who are doing alright for themselves after all...just no shot at stardom, but then again, that's not the most important thing.

do you guys think i will get more hits if i start putting yt links in my posts on here
No.
Super short but I like it a lot. First track was ghostly as hell and I love the electronic touches in the second. Really looking forward to the next thing you put out, I'm listening to the EP now.
Pretty interesting composition, not really something I enjoy though. Feels too pop rocky. I do dig the swirly guitar solo in Casanova though.
Also! Just got interviewed on a pretty dope Brazilian shoegaze blog, if any of you are into that kinda thing.

Excellent topic!
Listening to folk and blues rock of the grittier kind, think Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and the absolutely amazing and atmospheric OST's of both True Detective seasons. Lera Lynn kicks so much ass on there, it's obscene.
