anyone know what software this is? The VNC port was open so i went snooping.. looks like some sort of water treatment plant but I'm not sure how to operate it

Looks like an old school BMS

Show us the other control zones

...

...

it's a water treatment plant

It is called SCADA

user WHAT ARE YOU DOING M8. DO YOU THINK LIFES A FUCKIN GAME?

Supervisory Control and Data Aquisition

Call them and tell them their Flocculator Tank Polymer dosing pump is malfunctioning

thanks guys, i've managed to log in as the supervisor with credentials supervisor:supervisor (I watched him log in earlier)

i'm currently pumping sulphuric acid into the tank so the acidity doesn't go too high.

I love this game

the thing is, I have no idea where ths place is.. by the IP and time it's somewhere in the eastern states of Australia

You gon dun it now

Turn off everything and change the passwords

you got me ;)

>pumping in acid so that the acid doesn't go to high.
wat?

Are you logged in through a proxy? Can you change passwords to lock others out?

bad idea, if you lock them out they'll know and fix it

sorry, I mean so the pH doesn't go too high

Is noone asking what OP did to the Lt-0101 tank?

But it will still take them a while. I worked in a factory that used a system just like this. It definitely wouldnt be a quick fix if he decided to just shut the place down and lock them out.

wait a sec why the fuck does the water have a pH level anyways? it's fucking water.

lol, alarms seem to go off at random

newfag

i hope you're joking

sure is summer hueheuhehuue

basically ANYTHING that's liquid has a ph level and water has a neutral level of 7

It is sewage water, wether it is a real plant or only a simulation, they need a specific ph level for algae to grow. And later again when they release it into rivers.

oh hey i just realized that i am fucking retarded.

>or only a simulation
You have been selected for a job as filtration plant manager. Congratulations!

Why would they have a tank labeled polymer then?

That's a SCADA system, OP. Looks like old iFIX / Intellution to me.
>thickening polymer tanks
>sodium hydroxide
>clarifiers

You're probably looking at a Wastewater control system.

>Thickening polymer
>water treatment

Why/what is thickening polymer?

kek
see if you can make it bork

Thickening sub-process polymerization, in a nutshell, solidifies the tiny particulate in water than other filtering and clarification techniques can't sift out.

Those can be used for various purposes during the treatment of the wastewater.

i think i broke a few pumps

Probably when trying to get suspended material to fall out right? This is the field I'm aiming for when I graduate.

Thanks, what materials are used for the polymer? I'm a biochemist and do lots loads of affinity protein purifications, so my terminology for that kinda material is different, but sounds similar

>ITT waste water treatment specialists and engineers

kek. where is this plant located so we can check the local news

Holy Shit OP, now you are an engineer!

Congrats Sup Forums, you have graduated!

>Posting in epic thread

as I said, I don't know the exact location but I know the IP and local time, so I think either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne

You might be surprised who lurks on Sup Forums.
Not all of us are trap-worshipping cucks.

Correct. Then you pull out the material via gravity or filtering or centrifuges, depending on budget.

I don't see an array of Raw Water pumps. Must be a smaller operation.

Can you start up the hydrocyclone again?

Yea I remember hearing something similar when we visited a plant nearby. I'm looking to go into this or some kind water quality
