nipples-- ahem i mean, cupolas are great

shut up it isn't

>no hagia sofia
What gives int?

some modernist buildings are great too... when done with measure and symmetry

you post it then, go on

...

I never liked that style.

It stopped existing in the 1400s.

i guess communis-- ahem, i mean, modernism is not for everyone

I think Art Deco managed to remain aesthetic up to its last years. Just because the buildings are less ornate doesn't mean they aren't as pretty.

That's not true

...

...

maybe communism was shit economically but daaamn son, dem aesthetics..

strong and beautiful

What an abomination

imagine having your grave as just another tourist attraction in paris

the building is magnificent yes, but it's been defiled enough by the tourist hordes

This looks like a giant concrete hand showing you the middle finger.
Fitting.

you think so? then how about this one

...

Fuck you, I am throwing up and now I have to clean my room. Thanks again.

for me commies just made a thick copy of art deco aesthetics. so i dunno, if you don't like one then how can you like the other

Looks like smth a 4 year old makes in minecraft

aight last one i promise
then i wanna post my favorite forts/castles

...

...

I really like the fortress aesthetics.

...

I love this

This is from your country.

yeah that's an inner detail
it's amazing that indians wood-carved most of it

DID ANYONE SAY NIPLES ??

here you go, biggest goth cathedral world wide

...

>famous italian landmark
>shows off terrible engineering

...

Pitty that the tower looks like shit

...

Esos Arbotantes...

The lean is endearing though, isn't it? If there was a vote to straighten it out, Italy would probably vote against it.

...

check your eyes

Is there architecture north, west, or East of France that isn't generic greek/italian copying ? I know the slavs must What about the scandis, modernism?

Looks like damascus in AC1

...

>damascus in AC1

lol dude its all broken

Even better than its reputation

ah ok

yeah some turks thought it was a good idea to keep powderkegs there

let's see your favelas in 2400 years

Lol... Egyptian temples are over 1000 years older and look so much better

favelas are supposed to be transitory communities though
what Brazil has to offer is commie buildings though

Muh germanic master race no where in this thread, guess straw huts aren't very impressive

ah yeah i forgot to reply to this
>What about the scandis
if i recall correctly they were big into gothic architecture then went full commie as well

>Egyptian temples
did not influenced western architecture (and culture) like classic did, gennarino

But do they have something influenced solely by themselves? What's their oldest architecture date back to ? At least the Russians have their colorful Christmas buildings that are nice
But I'm assuming both can't match the Italians or Spanish

>What's their oldest architecture date back to ?
that wasn't burned by Varg Vikernes? their wooden churches i guess. they date back to the 12th century
>I'm assuming both can't match the Italians or Spanish
it's an unfair comparison but yeh
i'd recommend the japanese and anyone who has wooden buildings to start plastering them with cement or i dunno, rebuild them
wood is a shit material no matter how warm and comfy it becomes in winter

I think the gothic style of northern France and the Benelux is a lot better but i'm most likely biased

t. cuck

Mesoamerican construction is actually pretty cool

Modernism is very capitalist

>anyone who has wooden buildings to start plastering them with cement or i dunno, rebuild them
What did he mean by this?

wood rots, gets burned, etc
trust me my ancesters built with wood and now nothing is left
start using stone on everything. i also worry that some day we should write in stone just in case, because the plastic parts of our harddrives will melt in time

even fascism left something us beautiful

Kek mesoamerican building around 500-600 AD
Known for being very low and very long

Aux grands hommes la patrie reconnaissante !

So in Dutch, an eye is an "oog"?

...

yes

Wood and stone are two different things. Wood is great and it has a totally different feel. People builed more wooden churches now and it's great. Wood is essential part of our culture.

Seville's cathedral is too big and therefore to too ''horizontal''. I prefer Burgos or Leon cathedrals

...

Then what is an "ooga"?

...

Depends on the era and area.
>But I'm assuming both can't match the Italians or Spanish
Depends what you mean. We never had the resources or the population to create large things.
Concentrated population/cities was never a "big thing" until more recently.

I prefer this one

not a Dutch world

Looks better indeed

It got blown up by the Turks

B but Salamanca is the tallest

...

...

:^)

It's not really great though, the blue one in Kazakhstan is way better.
