no grapplers can usually get up before the grounded strikes do too much damage generally, they're useful for finishing off hurt opponents also you're forgetting about something that would help the grapplers

This. Fuck soccer kicks and stomps. It's such an opportunistic and one-sided move. If you're in a position to soccer kick or stomp then you are already in probably one of the most heavily advantaged positions (aside from taking the back) and you have a ton of other options to continue maintaining control of your opponent.
