Why does this triangle, made by the same 4 pieces, with the same area, have a blank square in the middle?

Why does this triangle, made by the same 4 pieces, with the same area, have a blank square in the middle?

their aren't triangle

Those triangles are ever-so-slightly larger in the second picture.

Because its not the same area. The bottom one has a slight curve on its hypotenuse.

because 3/8 =/= 2/5
(the slopes of the two small triangles are not the same aka line is not straight)

red triangles are different sizes

learn some true mathematics bro

No they're not lol

Because benis.

Because you touch yourself at night.

why is this puzzle always on graph paper? it makes it easy to see that that bottom one is bigger. oh well, nice try OP

...

Look at the top of triangle. The top image curves down while on the bottom image it curves up. The difference covers enough of an area for one square.

You can see the block moving from left to right getting bigger. You'd have to be an idiot to fall for that.

If you're not a troll please go back to school.

Triangle: A plane figure with three straight sides and three angles.

And your grammar; Do you maybe mean those or they're?

oh wow that's pretty cool,
when each triangle pieces seems to match the other triangle pieces,
but there is one line that is slightly curved, thus, taking off one square

Those aren't 3 straight lines

I'm color blind.
To make problem worse I can't spell color.

Triangle green has a slope of 2/5 or 16/40
Triangle red has a slope of 3/8 or 15/40

Thus, when you put them together, they don't form a bigger triangle. If the green triangle is on top, then the the overall object will bend inward. If the red triangle is on top, then it will bend outward.

Niiiiice!

If you zoom in you can see why/

Tetris level 3 simpleton

because your mother is whore, thats why.

If you add up all the volume in that gap, you get exactly one square.
