This is what the Writers Guild of America voted, in 2013, as the 101 best written tv shows of all time:

>1. The Sopranos
>2. Seinfeld
>3. The Twilight Zone
>4. All in the Family
>5. M*A*S*H
>6. The Mary Tyler Moore Show
>7. Mad Men
>8. Cheers
>9. The Wire
>10. The West Wing
>rest of the list: wga.org/writers-room/101-best-lists/101-best-written-tv-series/list

Because this is voted by professionals working in the industry, it's automatically the most objective and authoritative list there is. Pointing to it, I can say that Breaking Bad is objectively the 13th best written show, and if you disagree you are the real pleb.

desu I'm more than okay with Sopranos and Seinfeld topping the list

>Mad Men

seriously?

>The West Wing
>above anything
baka desu senpai

>6. The Mary Tyler Moore Show
Da fuck?

>The Twilight Zone
I miss anthology shows

Well at least the Sopranos is where it should be

>Star Trek TOS over TNG
>Battlestar Galactica over TNG
>The Simpsons number 11, when it's been shit for almost two decades
>Dexter on the list at all
>Band of Brothers #89
>shows that turned to shit like Friends, SNL, Game of Thrones, Buffy, The Office (US)etc.

This list is more influence based, than actually ranking well written shows.

Band of Brothers is an amazing production, but its writing is nothing special

>Simpsons
>#11 in 2013
lol no
>Sex and the City over GOT
>Battlestar Gallactica over any Star Trek Series
>88 BoB
>Oz not at least in Top 30

too much shit to mention

game of plebs scum

t. individual snowflake

you actually think it's well written?

WHERE THE FUCK IS EVANGELION

at least better than half the stuff that comes before it

so you admit it's shit writing and your only argument is that other stuff is shit?

pleb scum

WGA is full of politics. You can't trust their word desu.

so being in the top 20 would qualify as shit writing? are you retarded

I love Oz, but it wasn't that well written. It seemed like the writers were shoving in whatever shit they wanted and it wasn't at all graceful.

Also Sex and the City has some genuinely smart and funny dialogue. It runs circles around GoT's clunky dialogue.

so your first argument was the list is shit and now you're using the list as a source for your new argument?

I think you're retarded

I know, it should be higher

>using the list as a source for your new argument?
you made it sound like a top 20 position would be shit, it's not my fault that you're a fucking edgelord that can only argue if he ascribes dubious statements with passive-aggressive questions

now I'm edgy for saying the writing for game of plebs is shit? yeah you're retarded

jesus christ you can't read, I didn't call you edgy for not liking GoT, but for not being able to argue like a normal person

you are just worthless, this is my last post

>Deadwood not #1
>Deadwood not even in the top 10

I pointed out your argument was wrong and the only comeback you have is telling me that I can't argue? are you a parrot?

turn on game of thrones

So you don't know what what edgy means and you're shouting buzzwords

I'm gonna go ahead and guess you're very, very, young.

That show was groundbreaking when it came out.

The only reason anyone rates Seinfeld is nostalgia

It's objectively not good
