Who should I vote for in the UK general election coming up in a few weeks Sup Forums?
19yo and never voted for anything. I don't know shit about politics and I hardly care as it seems bullshit to me, but I might vote if I was convinced one way or the other.
Labour or conservative ?
Isaac Rogers
Labour. Read the manifesto and youll agree
Kayden Ward
Sociopath - Conservatives Not sociopath - Labour
Benjamin Butler
Labour if you want a decent chance in life
Tories if you are a selfish cunt or deluded and think you're posh and don't give a fuck about all the deaths they cause... Pretty much killing off labour voters
UKIP if you're a moron and actually believe they are a separate entity to the Tory party and don't realise they were set up to take voters from labour and lib dens, those who would NEVER vote Tory.
Lib dems if you don't care about the fact that won't get in and because they don't get in government they won't stick to any policies or push for them.
Green / other wasted vote
Eli Edwards
> hurr durr taxes will pay for everything
vote tory unless you want to fucking destroy our economy
Julian Baker
Surprised you're on this site being a Tory, /b is pretty much illegal in the uk because of your pig fucking masters
Tyler Mitchell
Tory if you care about the future of this country
Justin Wright
It doesn’t matter who you vote for anyway, it’s Brexit 2.0.
Everyone will shout from the rooftops they’re voting Labour, no one will dare admit to voting Conservative, then the Conservatives will win and everyone will pretend to be shocked.
Take comfort in the fact that Corbyn might finally fuck off if Labour get rekt.
Nathaniel Nelson
OP here, huh I thought this site was more right wing?
Is it not like tories are equivalent of republican as they're both right?
Does the whole "leftie cuck" shit only apply to USA?
Also why does it seem like US related almost everything to left and right wing, even non-political things like transgender ism. I hardly ever hear those things being talked about together in UK.
James Martinez
Yeah because May has any power in Europe and her "difficult woman" brag will do nothing other than get us fucked royally when Europe says "pay up or fuck off and no trade"
Then we have to lick trumps ass and become his bitch.
Ryan Ward
LOL
Lincoln Diaz
Vote for the one with rotten teeth and B.O.
Asher Taylor
vote for papa noel, boy.
Juan Robinson
Labour is going too far off the rails lately. Go UKIP if you feel that immigration needs to be reduced. Conservative if you still want to leave the EU.
Ian Reed
There's right wing, then There's just being fucking retarded, like they want to introduce fox hunting again and she's pro surveillance
Christopher Brown
Vote LibDems
They promise to legalize weed.
Blake Morris
>Labour is going too far off the rails lately How so?
Hudson Butler
The US doesn't have a left wing. In our terms, it has the Tories, and UKIP - I wouldn't treat anything said by some dribble lip on Sup Forums too seriously, m8.
Aaron Green
Labour will still honour the brexit vote, don't believe these Tory tossers.
Lib dems said they will try for another referendum
Blake Watson
What party will save you from leaving the EU, vote that one.
Jacob Turner
I'm an immigrant myself although UK citizen for years now.
I didn't vote in the Brexit and never cared about politics before.
Now I think it's more not voting because I actually don't know what's best, and I get pissed at people my age spouting shite thinking their party is 100% the best choice.
I'm 19 what the fuck do I know about politics or the economy
Thomas Nguyen
vote labour may is a fucktard basically and just cares about lining her pockets with the deaths of the poor and trust me those pockets are deep with human skin
my advice torys =cunts and may thinks shes thatcher, look at the good she did labour =not so cunty also corbyn is a reasonable and rational minded person who would you really send in to negotiations a bulldog that can only bark or a human being who is rational minded
Aaron Perez
You want free education and a decent living wage vote labour,
If you want to fight for a 0 hour contract with no guarantee of work, waiting by the phone for a phone call at 5 am that they want you in at 7 am for 3 hours... Then vote Tory
Elijah Fisher
I love how your only point about the economy and labour is that they'll fuck it up. I dont see the pound recovering at all since the brexit vote and May's appointment as prime minister a year ago, if anything the economy has gotten worse, especially for companies trading with the dollar as currency, which is pretty fucking much everyone. It's fucked either way. Plys our debt in 2010 under labour was billions. Under tory it's been made into trillions.
fuck the economy? only tories do it best.
Luis Hughes
considering You brexitted your way out of the EU I have to admit that I don't give a flying fuck which politicians You will allow to ruin the rest of Your country.
Julian Brooks
For the love of God, please don't vote labour.
Josiah Reyes
>Labour is going too far off the rails lately you've been watching too much BBC m8
>Go UKIP if you feel that immigration needs to be reduced literally every party has an immigration policy. it was the backbone of a lot of brexit votes.
>Conservative if you still want to leave the EU leaving the EU is a given now you fucking mong.
Xavier Stewart
All of them are trash.
>Labour if you're some kind of Commie >Tory if you basically just want more of the same >UKIP have served their purpose and without Nigel leading them they're useless >Green if you're mentally deficient
cry more eurofag
Juan Edwards
Vote labour. Trust me, too many things will change by the time you are older that all could have been prevented with a anti brexit stance.
Labour will still do brexit but it will be light as fuck (probably exactly same deal with have now but we pay more). Which is a hell of a lot better than the conservatives plan. Where they just seem to want to negotiate us to get nothing, still pay and get rid of all the migrants which actually do a better job for our economy then a lot of native Brits.
People in the UK tend to think London is full of people jerking each other off but London is literally a good percentage of Britain's economy and London needs those migrants. Whether for low paying jobs or high paying specialist roles.
Elijah Lewis
Answer my question fucktard!
Brody Nguyen
Lol, this is what I'm talking about.
Everytime this shit comes around. There's no answer to which party is best so why bother.
There are always people on both sides claiming that voting in one party will be the death of the country or something
Daniel Barnes
Who is going to tear the system down the most?
Dylan Bennett
Why though?
Adam Cooper
If you want to be taxed to shit to pay for everyone's free shit, vote for Labour. If not, Conservative
Nicholas Long
Yeah I kinda like immigrants. Maybe I'm young and stupid, but I'm not a racist cunt and I like people from other places
Benjamin Cook
Conservative. Fuck labour.
Ryder Foster
>cry more eurofag nobody is crying to see the Brits ruin themselves. Scotland probably will vote for a split from the UK, so we still get cheap scotch, the only thing worth to be exported from the foggy isles.
Aaron Bell
Are you dumb?
Noah Bennett
To be fair, if the Tories know one thing - it's how to fuck an economy.
Jose Peterson
>Which demented pensioner should I vote for, Sup Forums?
Why even bother?
Jordan Russell
A nice argument!
OP here, tbh mostly people's arguments for conservatives have been "don't vote labour"
Jackson Perez
Would you honestly trust Corbyn? I wouldn't.
Nathaniel Gutierrez
This is what I tend to think, but this time I'm considering.
Jason Lewis
You're right the only people crying are the family members of the people that are regularly being run over and murdered on mainland Europe
Ryder Walker
this, it's like brexit or no brexit, trump or no trump, the world keeps fucking turning, it doesn't end
Nathan Smith
tbh we should just guy fawkes this shit up kek but seriously its kinda in the names conservatives conserve things for the rich labour are for the workers which make up most of the country
somehow weve been convinced that making the rich richer is a good idea
Robert Russell
HAHAHAH FUCK OFF
Labour's manifesto is an idealistic pipedream. If you believe that HALF of the stuff written in it is FISCALLY possible you're a fucking moron.
Landon Hill
anyone can run in the election. we should have the People's Sup Forums Party. Let's plan it now and in 4 years put a candidate foreward and vote for them.
John Price
>Labour are for the workers
it hasn't been that way for a long time, user
Owen Clark
Trump just made me lose 2K on the stock market, the entire US economy just plummeted over 2% fuck that guy
Nolan Taylor
This is my other problem. Even if I read all the parties manifesto's and they sound good.
Like even I know that raising minimum wage sounds great, but there are obviously effects of this and it isn't that simple. No one really knows, especially people who aren't economists.
Really I think everyone is as ignorant as me but pretend they know what's going on.
Charles Sanchez
You should not vote unless you are well informed and have a strong opinion. Everybody /can/ vote but not everyone should.
In my opinion we should go back to requiring property ownership, or at least administer some kind of test.
Imagine if the brexit referendum had been attached to a 10-question multiple choice quiz about how the EU works and the likely consequences of leaving, with an 80% score required for your vote to count. It would have went very differently.
Jack Taylor
Fuck, Labour's got a tough record to beat if they want to knock off more than 15% of our economy.
Julian Rodriguez
Yeah but,
If you notice, only the pro labour voters are actually putting points forward.
>For the love of God, please don't vote labour. >Labour is going too far off the rails lately. Go UKIP if you feel that immigration needs to be reduced. Conservative if you still want to leave the EU. >Tory if you care about the future of this country >vote tory unless you want to fucking destroy our economy
No facts. Just media biased statements with nothing to back it up
Parker Moore
In this situation I think it's a legitimate argument. I would usually vote Labour, but if we want Brexit to happen, I think May ought to be the one doing it.
John Gray
it is atm tbh plus im sick of hearing the creature from the dark crystal film utter stong and stable
Connor Bennett
>conservatives conserve things for the rich >labour are for the workers which make up most of the country Your concept of politics seem to be the ones of a 12-15 years old: >bad guys >good guys >just pick good guys
Luis Mitchell
yes it has. firstly, they'd be fucked without the unions. who pay for the unions? the workers, minimum wage workers a lot of them. secondly, who do their policies cater for? the average joe aka the working class. the nhs, fairer taxation, cheaper public transport, a decent chunk of their manifesto caters for the working class. fuck off tory shill.
Liam Reyes
>being run over run over because Brittards can't manage to drive on the proper side of the street you mean?
Hunter Perez
the conservatives are better politicians and probably sharper people but the center left to left will always be better for most people.
Mason Lewis
Jesus do not listen to what anyone here says. If you're so unsure on who to vote for, for the love of God just don't vote.
The way I see it is, all the parties are pretty shit, you can just go by a manifesto, but we all know that parties don't stick to manifestos and always do extra shit to piss people off. Like with the tories fucking up our freedoms.
The way I see it. Vote tories this time round so we can get hard brexit and be done with the fucking EU. Petition the government to give us a referendum on legalising weed so we have a boost in the economy with new jobs and shit. Then next election go with either labour or lib dems.
As a current labour member. Don't let the corbyn cocksuckers trick you into thinking corbyn is the best thing since sliced bread. The man is far too ideologically motivated, you also have to consider the people he puts in top positions. Mcdonald who is a Marxist and will be in charge of the country, which is why they want to nationalise railways and utilities. Unfortunately I think too many are too young to remember when Britain used to have constant power cuts and three day working week because of all the nationalisation. After 8 years of austerity.
Vote conservative. Hard brexit. Remove champagne socialists from labour. Or put faith in the lib dems to actually make half decent policies. It's all gone to shit really.
Gabriel Howard
Your vote doesnt matter. Until there's proportional representation your vote doesn't matter because everyone else in your constituency has made up their mind. There is literally not one good defence of the electoral system as it is
Ryan Collins
It's what we call an economic downturn. It happens a lot. This is a good time for buying.
Aiden Powell
Yes I have noticed, see:
Xavier Moore
Because Muhammad and friends would rather use you as the road
Hunter Flores
UKIP my dude
Blake Price
24 yo Brit here also not sure
Would like Jeremy Corybn to take us back to the 70s, but feels hes gonna be a bit of a pussy in the face of brexit
First reply to this post is who i will vote for
Anthony Reed
Take it this way OP.
Labour- the "workers" party, no longer fit the needs or requirements of the working class. They didn't give a shit about the working class when it came to Brexit, just called them all racists and xenophobes.
They propose a £10 minimum wage, despite the fact it will do NOTHING. Inflation and costs of goods and services will rise to meet this and you will be NO better off than you were before.
They want to give free tuition... great idea. Apart from the fact that it will mean unis will begin to restrict applicants, having less places than before, only the best educated and best suited will be accepted. This means that poor people have NO CHANCE unless they're gifted. Also it means uni courses will be reduced from the plethora you have now, to a handful as it will be publically accountable.
They want to borrow £500 billion pounds and piss it away.
They want to spend money on failed businesses like Royal Mail and renationalise them DESPITE the fact that they couldn't keep up in the first place.
Labour doesn't give a fuck about the working class. They are too up their own arses to care.
Also not to mention taxing high earners AND also capping pay, which means no incentive to earn any real money. Don't forge that that tax rate starts at £80k.
Guess who starts on £75k? Just below that threshold. OH WAIT it's the politicians.
Don't even get me started on commie Corbyn. Their manifesto is fucking awful, if you believe half of what's written their you're too fucking gullible.
Matthew Bailey
>Petition the government to give us a referendum on legalising weed I stopped considering your post as a valid responce at this sentence.
Matthew Jones
moot
Ayden White
the way i see it is if you want a chance of a fairer system then corbyn is the man who is going to try to give that. increased living wages, multi-billion pound companies pay more tax, re-nationalisation of services like the railways and reverse the damage being done to the NHS and public services like education. if you want a system that continues to give the biggest breaks to the people at the top then vote conservative, and also youll be able to go and hunt foxes.. ive never voted before either because imo most politicians are in it for themselves and have vested interests but corbyn is a real alternative
Asher Brooks
Labour
Bentley Perry
Again, the main reason is Corbyn. We do NOT want Corbyn leading Brexit. He'll either cancel Brexit altogether or settle for an absolutely terrible deal.
Owen Jenkins
Are you kidding? She couldn't resist stirring the pot for one fucking day after the formal reception with the whole "bloody difficult" bollocks. It's like the gov now prioritise winning dumb soundbite points over actually being able to negotiate a good deal.
Liam Phillips
true and now the bbc is so biased without even putting real information across either, alot of fearmongering from tories
Owen Roberts
dude, the percentage of muslims among british citizens is way higher than in the rest of europe. So much more Mohammed and Sharia Law in the near future in Britain, than on the continent.
Caleb Wilson
It doesn't even take basic economics to understand that raising the minimum wage will not do a damned thing apart from make YOU believe you're better off.
You aren't. at all. I'm actually quite well versed on the subject, too drained after a days work to debate further on it really. I commented a little further indepth here.
Caleb Powell
labour it is
Benjamin Myers
NO CUNT I FUCKING SAID MOOT FIRST
Jason Morris
Thanks, finally two decent arguments for conservative.
Again though, saying that labour will get rid of tuition fees. Will that actually happen? I'm at uni atm, it doesn't seem likely that they'll actually go through with it.
It's all bullshit lol
Tyler Green
moot aint a fucking party.
Get his name on the ballet paper and ill vote for moot
Joshua Young
kek
Hudson Jackson
Why do you think that?
You know Corbin wanted out of the EU right?
Are you influenced by the media bias?
Justin Lewis
OP here,
fuck me, I'm not closer to making a decision.
I don't how anyone can choose, since either party can be argued good or bad. It's exhausting tbh
Kayden Thomas
So you want to restrict the freedoms of people. Restrict more legitimate jobs, restrict the amount of taxes our government can get. Continue with the policing of random gimps selling weed, putting people in prison on our dime all the while a huge percentage of the country has tried it including an awful lot of the mps.
I would like to see a legitimate argument against considering it. Other than you hate stoners and the smell.
Kayden Perry
Corbyn is glorified communism, lib Dems have a better manifesto. Of you voted remain and cried about older people taking Merkle land away then voting for labour is hypocritical.
Nathaniel Walker
If you're actually voting labour because someone tells you to first you're multiple levels of retarded.
Jaxon Parker
i wonder if karl is conservative or labour
i bet he doesn't give a shit
Asher Howard
>if you want a fairer system then Corbyn is the man who is going to try to give you that Bitch please. Corbyn will just pull us back into the hellish landscape of the EU.
Tyler Baker
Unfortunately, I don't believe Moot is running...
Eli Gomez
This guy gets it
William Campbell
>Would like Jeremy Corybn to take us back to the 70s
My dad has always said the people who like the 70s never lived through the 70s.
Easton Perry
Remember when the Lib Dems said they'd get rid of tuition fees? That didn't happen, though they were a coalition, they didn't push for it.
It's not feasible with how current unis operate, it was fine in the past. But having it now would be disastrous for the systems of higher education.
It would mean complete upheaval, like I said it'll mean -Less places -Less access -Less availability.
To name but a few downsides of the plan. In a utopia yeah great idea, but it's not really realistically possible at the moment.
Charles Flores
Labour Labour Labour As a young person, The Tories have got their sights set to shaft you and people like you mate,
May is one of the most Authoritarian "leaders" we've ever had, a shameless career politician who is hopelessly out of her depth.
For the good of our country, our young, our old, our vulnerable, for the survival of the most wonderful institution in the world, our NHS.
Every time the mainstream media literally barefacedly lies about Corbyn, that is the Rupert Murdoch's, the Lord Rothermere's and the Richard Desmond's saying to you "Get back in your place!"
Finally, with Brexshit going ahead, do not, for a fucking moment ever believe, the Tories have you (as I assume) a working class bloke at heart, as their interest, A post Brexshit Tory country, will be a bonfire of workers rights.
Do yourself and your future family proud.
Vote Labour.
Angel Cooper
Kids eh?
Levi Lee
Again, UKIP my dude
Landon Allen
>National grid sold off for peanuts to china >national rail services sold off for peanuts to european country's state rail services >NHS being operated at insane expense by subpar private contractors
and all the developments are funded by taxpayers...with any profit squirrelled away into corporate accounts, taxed at the lowest rate in the world.
How the fuck is this good management of the economy you fucking lemon?
Oliver Murphy
dont vote, it doesnt do anything
Ethan Murphy
dig through all the trash on here and you find a very valid point
regardless of your opinion, the campaign so far in the media has been Labour coming up with stuff (either revolutionary or mad) and Tories saying "we're screwed if they get in"
so it's hope tactics vs. fear tactics - whichever speaks to you more probably decides it
